"10 stars! Best Indian food and customer service we've ever had! Food was bursting with flavor. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it was truly a special event!!"
"I came here for lunch today with some lady friends. A friendly woman that worked there greeted us. Very cute place that has awesome artwork painted on their walls. I ordered chicken masala. It comes with basmati rice. The waitress asks if you want mild medium or hot concerning the spicy level. I ordered the medium. The food came out very fast and was very tasty. Just the right amount of heat. They have a hot chai station that you can get free. Love that. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely come back."

"A bit back on the Moti Mahal train after some time off. It's been a staple for Indian food over the years despite battling some consistency issues. Way back in the day we'd dodge parking tickets to do carryout here in a dense corner of Westport, but these days with kids it's so much easier to pay the premium on a delivery service, so most times that's what we do. To me, their vegetarian entrees are stars of the show and easily shared between two people. In no particular order, the saag paneer, mutter paneer, and vegetable korma are equally delicious. Throw in some garlic naan, maybe a little rice pudding for dessert, and you've got a great meal. I do wish they could get the spice levels right because when it's medium spicy it's perfect, but often arrives far too mild. Otherwise this has been a pretty reliable staple over the years and we'll continue to order from them as long as they keep making it easy to!"
"This was our second stop here at India place. I am just now beginning to experiment with Indian food. I had the lamb, biryani, rice, golden, raisins, almonds, and lamb. The the few bites that had the raisins in it were my favorite. The spice is just the right for those who want a little bit of spice, but not too much heat. Definitely wanna come and try their lunch specials."
"Our first time dining in, this is typically our go to for DoorDash if we're getting Indian.Valentines dinner was lovely. They had the place decorated with roses and candles on each table, balloons throughout. We can earlier and were one of the first seated. They give complimentary chutney and crackers. We ordered the garlic naan, a spicy naan, chicken samosas, chicken kalimirch and lamb coconut curry.I ordered my chicken kalimirch as extra extra spicy. And the spice level was good for me! Samosas are huge, the pastry was flaky, and not oily! The food was amazing.. we just had to wait quite a bit.Several tables who came much after us got their apps and entrees before us. It took a good 30 minutes for our samosas to get to us. I'm not sure if things are all made to order and fresh, or what was going on. We got there at about 545p but our entrees weren't presented to us until closer to 645p.We were checked on often and we did leave quite full and happy."
"What a beautiful experience. Such a hospital family owned restaurant with good food. You don't come across places like this where the owner comes out and greets you, not once but twice. My butter chicken and chicken curry platter was very fresh and tasty. I only posted pictures of my friend's plate because I forgot to take pics of mine. I will go back!"
"When people come visit me in KC and want Indian food, I take them here. It's a lunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays, and I take full advantage of that. It's reasonably priced, around $22 per person - and the variety of food is definitely more than several other Indian buffets in KC. Food always tastes fresh and homemade. I always leave full and satisfied. They've got a couple of dessert options, including mango ice cream, kheer, halwa. I think they also recently added a dosa station, where they make dosa right in front of you and bring it to your table too.Service is fine for being a buffet style restaurant. There's plenty of tables and booths inside, so seating hasn't ever been an issue when I've gone."
"Quick, friendly service and food. Had the shrimp kahari and it was perfectly spicy as I asked, with truly giant jumbo shrimp. Hot fresh garlic on the naan and yummy vegetable soup were perfect sides. I've had it for delivery but this was my first time in person and everything was great."
"This food was SO GOOD. We came because I had a hankering for gobi Manchurian and my favorite spot for that dish has closed (boooo!). As you can see in the photo, it was large, it was crispy, it was saucy. We ordered mild spice because south Asian spice levels scare me. The dish still had a little kick to it tho!I totally forgot to snap a photo of our rogan josh and naan, but they were excellent. If we ordered the rogan josh again, we'd get more spice than mild. It was delicious though! The lamb was fall apart tender, the sauce was great. The naan was very crispy on the outside, and was (to my taste) more pancake flavor than yeast bread flavor. I'd be interested to try their garlic naan, just because this was such a "background character" bread. If we had been more adventurous with our spice level, this bread would be exactly what I wanted though. Our server was so friendly and prompt, too. We will definitely be back!"
"I didn't take photos because I was so hungry I forgot! I love this place because I cannot tolerate most dairy (milk, cream, etc). Taj Palace will make your favorite dishes with coconut milk -- which is what I ordered tonight, chicken tikka masala with coconut milk, extra rice, and naan. It was delicious! I have been here many times and will be back!"
"This was absolutely fantastic. Looks like a hole in the wall place - however service was spectacular. The food timing came out perfectly with appetizers and the main meal - even though we ordered everything together. Portions were huge. Food was piping hot and so delicious. We will be back!!!"

The food was terrific as was the staff. I was treated like a prince. For religious purposes, I don't eat any of the alliums (onions, garlic, etc.). I mentioned this to my server and she was very accommodating. There wasn't even a moment hesitation about whether they could make my food to my preferences.I had the mushroom mattar makhani, mint naan, and mango lassi. The entrée and the naan were hot when they were brought to the table. Both were very flavorful. the makhani was wonderfully spiced. The lassi was cool and refreshing as it should be.My only complaint is that I was racially profiled! I am a Caucasian male. When the server took my order, she asked me if I wanted my food, mild or medium. I was not even given the option of spicy. (there's a Thai restaurant I go to in my hometown. I usually get the food, medium, but every now and again when I'm feeling reckless, I will tell them to make the food spicy, but for an American, not for an Asian)I'm only in town for two nights and I plan on returning to Korma Sutra for dinner tomorrow night.

Got to bring my niece (5) and nephew (7) to India food for the first time! They were pretty open minded and watched the curry chicken and butter chicken the most. They enjoyed all of it but couldn't stop talking about the garlic nan! They wanted to take more to go!Service was great. The wait staff was patient with my niece and nephew telling them stories how it was their first time!Inside was welcoming! Can't wait to come try during lunch buffet

We have had India food in places all over the world including India. This is by far one of the very best we have eaten. Always fresh and great flavor. We had the Beef Kadahi, garlic Naan and Vegetable PaKori and the sauces they came with were delicious. Service is always great here, friendly and traditional hospitality this not our first experience. Been coming here for years. Their lunch buffet is awesome too.

Can I go back 2 nights in a row? Goodness I'm still drooling over their menu. That garlic naan was *chef's kiss* and the complimentary chutney was fire. Service was friendly and our waitress helped us navigate the menu and different ingredients/spice levels. Someone teach me how to make this food at home because I'm going to go broke eating here so often. Highly recommend.

Butter Chicken, Butter Paneer, Curry Chicken, Garlic Naan, Naan, and paranthas were all heavenly this evening. Thank you for the Birthday treats at the end of our meal for our sweet 16 year-old. We will return soon and avoid letting so much time go by before filling our bellies again.Word of advice: Visit Shagan's ASAP!

Displaying it's mural of plaques, recognitions, and awards on it's walls, Taj Mahal has undoubtedly been known and loved by KC locals for their modern take on Indian cuisine. Their menu boasts both vegan and meat options for every diet, and their interior - while a bit outdated - definitely doesn't fall behind on bringing the "sweet dinner date spot" a lot of us dating/married folk love. All that to say, their food was a bit overpriced, their portion sizes decent but not large, their customer service mediocre, and the Indian spice-flavor lacking in...well flavor. But...their GARLIC NAAN was mouthwateringly delicious.

"Easily one of the most affordable and delicious options at City Market! While other food stalls were charging $12+ for lunch options, Tikka House has entire meals for $7-$8 max. That's an incredible deal! Don't be scared away by the long line to purchase spices - and get yours here, while you're at it! They have every spice and mix under the sun, and from what I could tell by the line, they're popular.Skip this line and head to the front register to place your meal order. The team here is lovely and will take your order - just know there's a $10 minimum for cards.I ordered butter chicken and a veggie samosa, and it was incredible! The butter chicken served on rice was deliciously spiced, and it came with two different salads. I got a samosa and it was MASSIVE - so delicious with a yogurt sauce and chili oil on the side plus some pita chips.Delicious, filling, hearty and budget-friendly choice at City Market!"
"A hidden gem in the Kansas City area that packs in the taste on top of healthy portions. If there ever was an underrated ethic food category, Indian cuisine would be at the top. The amount of flavors and warmth packed into each dish is hard to beat. Touch of Asia definitely holds its place among my top choices when it comes to Indian food in KC.The menu is filled with your typical options you'd come to expect from an Indian restaurant. Our table went with the Samosas and Panir Chili for appetizers. The meat samosa was a wonderful savory pastry that we all devoured as soon as it came out. The portion size cannot be beat. The chili on the other hand was something new to me and I can say for certain that I am a fan. The blend of sweet and sour was a hit at our table and there was plenty for everyone.I ended up ordering Lamb Korma and Garlic Naan on the side. The korma came out just the way I like it with the right spice level that I requested. Some Indian restaurants serve the naan bread sliced, but there's just something nice about seeing the actual whole naan being brought out. All in all, Touch of Asia offers you everything to satisfy your crave for Indian cuisine. There was a small ticket mixup at the end of our meal when we had to pay, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt as it was busy and we had a large group. Definitely worth your time to drop in."
"I needed a semi quick sit down lunch spot near my office and this was suggested by my client. it was spotless, that was a plus and it was nicely appointed with a youthful, hip atmosphere without being hipster. The service was great! I'm hard of hearing and the manager was ESL, but we muddled through and shared a few laughs. They are very gracious and welcoming, so I felt right at home. The Nepalese versions aren't as spicy, which is nice, as my customer wanted spicy and that's the Indian version. The Butter Chicken was great and when I asked him about the Lamb for my next visit, he said "Ours is the best!". That's chutzpah."
"As the only option here in the Blue Springs/Lees Summit area, it definitely hits the spot. The service was great and the food was delicious. The amount of meat in our dish, however, was very minimal compared to the other Indian restaurants we have frequently visited in the KC metro area. Overall, I enjoyed our meal and will return as we now live in the area."
"I've been in Kansas City, right by the airport, for the last couple of months. In that time I fell in love with Sahara Fine Indian Cuisine. I tried a few Indian places, including one I think less than a mile away from Sahara. Well I never tried any of the others more than once because once I tried Sahara I found the one I wanted. My primary order was their Chicken Saag. I like Saag in general and have had it a several different Indian restaurants in several different places across the western U.S.. I think Sahara's Saag is the best I've tried. In fact, when I was home over a weekend after being in KC for a while I ordered Saag from one of my old favorites (Bombay Garden in West Jordan, UT) and I was very disappointed. Sahara's version had better texture, better flavor by a lot, and brought the heat that I asked for.I highly encourage people reading this to skip the Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken just this one time and try an order of Chicken Saag or even Lamb Vindaloo. Especially if you're ordering from Sahara Fine Indian Cuisine because they make some of the best around. Not just around KC, but around the U.S. west of the Mississippi."
"Positives: clean restaurant with an appealing interior. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive.Negatives: we went today for lunch and I wanted to order off of their extensive menu, my husband was at the buffet getting his plate, while he was doing that I was told by our server that I could not order from the menu because the cooks were busy making food for the buffet. I have Celiac and so I knew what I wanted from the menu. So I had to go ahead and just do the buffet also since my husband had already gotten his food. The buffet was $22.50 in the afternoon (the price is not posted in the menu or anywhere we could see) and we both felt that there was not enough offerings of various food to warrant that lunch buffet cost. The food was fresh because they would bring it out when the pan was empty. So when I went to get mine, several main items were gone that my husband had got on his plate. I had to go back and look for them a bit later. While each item we tried (I had little to choose from because of diet) was fresh and good, we both felt they should offer more selections. My main issue is that they should have a sign saying that they don't serve from the menu during the buffet times. We would have left instead of paying over $50 for lunch."
"Food and service were both excellent. My daughter got the Chicken Tikka Masala and I got the Mysore Masala Dosa. Both were very flavorful and authentic. It's nice to see south Indian cuisine in Kansas City finally! For desert we tried a gulab jamun and a ras malai. The gulab jamun was pretty typical - they're about the same everywhere. I haven't had ras malai in a couple years though because nobody around here serves it. Wow was it fantastic!"
"Ate lunch at FoH on Tuesday, October 8th. I started with an order of mango lassi while I perused the extensive menu. Its eight pages of various different dishes! This was the best mango lassi that I have ever had!!! A perfect amount of mango and creaminess. I highly recommend it for a starter. I selected Chicken Biryani as my main dish and placed my order with the waitress. She was prompt and said that I had made an excellent choice. She brought it to the table 10m later and it too was delicious. I really enjoyed the sauce that was provided with the dish. I will definitely return to this gem!"
"At the chance to check out the new elephant wings located inside parlor. Everything was amazing. Each bite was packed with such flavor and juiciness. The fries and wrap were both amazing and I highly recommend this location is in the entry section of parlor parking is available on the street or at parlor."
"I was impressed with everything about this new north Indian restaurant during my opening week dine-in lunch visit.During the soft opening the restaurant is offering the buffet every day for lunch and dinner, but later the buffet will be offered only on Sundays. The buffet ($19.99) included choice of naan, salad bar, desserts and veg, chicken, goat and beef entrées. Everything I tried was at the proper temperature and tasted great, with plenty of that north Indian creamy goodness. I loved the garlic naan, which was fresh, warm and very flavorful.Labels at the buffet were a mixed bag, with many nicely detailed labels, some temporary labels and some missing labels at the salad bar dressings, but I understand staff are already working on correcting the issue.I found the dining area to be clean and elegant with pleasant Indian background music and a mix of booths and tables, while the staff were first-rate - attentive, polite, professional and helpful - nice!Excellent!"
"Desi Bites has become a true staple in our take-out rotation. The online ordering option on their website makes take-out simple, and their generous portions allow for leftover days! Some of our all-time favorites:* Butter Chicken (medium spice)* Rice Pilaf (we always order extra because it's just that good)* Garlic Naan (real chunks of roasted garlic for the win)* Chai Masala Tea My GOODNESS, their chai masala is some of the most authentic I've had yet! Do yourself a favor and just order a cup of these. Sooo worth it!"
"Good place for vegetarians and non-veggies! Selections were tasty but the naan was a bit hard and they only offer plain naan. The mango lassi was good and samosas would've been perfect warm and fresh. Nonetheless, one two-choice plate is $16 plus (after taxes) so a little pricey. Located conveniently on the Crowne plaza...so hopefully will try again and most likely come first thing at opening."
"Awesome flavors and great portions! I like the various curries and always get the chicken 65 when they have it."
"We've had our eyes on coming before it even opened their doors for business. It was definitely worth the wait, before leaving we already decided we would come back in the near future. We tried...- the happy hour menu (4pm-7pm) onion pakora and ragada pattice [each $3.99]- from the curry menu Malai Kofta(A delicious dish of fried balls of potato and paneer in a rich and creamy (choose from spicy level) gravy made with sweet onions and tomatoes). ) and lamb korma (lamb stew meat is cooked in a creamy coconut sauce, seasoned with toasted Indian spices and cooked to a melt-in-the-mouth perfection( you can choose your spicy level).) Each of the entrees came with a container of rice which made it easy to take leftover homes or for takeout.- for dessert jalebi (made from all-purpose flour, gram flour, and sugar syrup. The batter is poured into spirals or concentric circles in hot oil, fried until crisp, and then immersed in sugar syrup.)We sat outside at the picnic tables since we had brought the dogs with us.While we were inside ordering and looking at the menu, we spoke to the staff who were quite friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The interior of the restaurant was busy with constant line of people who came to sit to eat or grab their takeout orders. If it didn't come across the food was melt in your mouth delicious."
"Love the guy that works the counter, always friendly. The food is terrific. Such a unique concept. I love the location of the place. It's a great place overall. I only wish the seating area was more inviting. Other than that, and because of the employee who has the best personality: 5 stars"
"I don't often eat Indian, but after having a great Indian feast 3 weeks ago in the suburbs, I was ready for another round. Mint Masala is located in the Midtown Market - an ethnic market / convenience store at 40th and Main It has about 4 tables and some counter seating. Very basic and boring. My Cashew Paneer Curry was anything but basic and boring though. A large bowl for $12 and a piece of garlic naan for $1.50 made a hearty lunch although I should have ordered at least 2 naan for dipping. A complex spice profile with lots of cashews; whole and ground. My first time having this dish and I would have no qualms having it again."
"This food is INCREDIBLY good. We had to scramble for a vegan option after another choice wasn't able to deliver, and I'm so glad we found them - we've honestly never met Indian food we didn't like, but there are various degrees of enthusiasm based on depth and complexity of flavor, and this one hit all the sweet, spicy and savory notes right out of the ballpark. Plus - it was not greasy, as delicious Indian food often seems to be, so we felt every bit as wonderful after eating it as we did while enjoying it. Chef's kiss for sure! Extra love for their offering "The Vegan for Two" - it's delicious and ample. We supplemented that with an order each of the Baigan Bharta and Bhindi Masala and even without eating any rice (we avoid white rice for health reasons) it was enough food to feed both of us for 4 meals - and Mrs couldn't stop raving about how delicious the okra was, perfect spice level and SO tender, not at all tough or "woody" as restaurant okra often is. We are already looking for our next excuse to eat their delicious food again! I only wish they offered papadum for a healthy, gluten free starch option - but maybe it's best they don't, as otherwise we'd probably be picking up their food several times a month and getting lazy about cooking."
