"Great food! Tried it twice now (arepa and cachepa) I would say, if you don't know what the item is (ex cachepa) you might look that up as the menu only gives you the fillings."
"We saw the truck was coming to our neighborhood ACE Hardware, so we decided to give them a try. There wasn't really anywhere in the parking lot for us to sit and eat so we decided to take it to go. I ordered the Bourbon Glaze burger and upgraded the fries to add bacon and queso. My husband ordered the spicy avocado burger and also upgraded the fries. My burger was well cooked and seasoned and the bourbon glaze added a hit of sweetness. My only complaint is that the glaze is on the thinner side so my bun was pretty soggy by the time we got home and the glaze is the only wet condiment on the burger, so I ended up adding some mayo. The fries were crispy and salted well and the bacon and queso were great with them. I didn't get to try my husband's burgers, but he said it was delicious and he really liked the cilantro aioli on it. We'll have to give their brick and mortar location a go soon."
"Just recently had finally got to try the Casual Foodie. Gary had caught him several months back and all I ever heard about were the bulgogi tacos. He was just in awe of them. I wasn't sure if I believed the hype. On Saturday we saw the truck and his eyes got as big as saucers. He ordered three pork bulgogi tacos, I got two tacos, one pork bulgogi, one Caribbean jerk. We got queso and chips as well. After we found a place to sit, and Gary finally got to dig in, I asked, "Was it everything you remember and more?" He was grinning from ear to ear and nodded yes. For my experience with the Casual Foodie I have to say, the pork bulgogi lived up to the hype. The meat on those tacos is out of this world. And the sauce on it is a perfect compliment. They're topped with a fried egg so it is rich. The reason I'm doing four stars and not five is while the Caribbean jerk was good it wasn't on the level of the bulgogi. Queso was good. Friendly service. Saw they're in Lenexa this weekend and we'll probably make our way out there to get more tacos."
"I've been here twice with customers and had every sandwich. All of them are ridiculou... slightly messy, and delicious. Seriously... just pick one and relax. The toppings they use put them over the top. Roll up your sleaves. You have been warned!"
"When I saw this food truck on Facebook I really wanted to try it because I love fish and chips. I missed going to it the first time it was local, but I saw that it was a little bit further and had to try it. There was quite a long line when I arrived. I ordered a three piece fish and chips and OMG it was the best I've ever had and I lived in San Diego for 25 years and tried many different places. The batter on the fish was crunchy and the fish was super tender. The fries were also excellent. Yummy yummy yummy!!! Looks like this food truck travels to many places. I am hoping they will be back because I will definitely be there to pick up more of the deliciousness"
"This truck was located at the KCMO Convention Center for the Natl Invitational Tournament (NIT) Womens Volleyball, 2/14-2/18/25. We ordered hot drinks in the morning: Dirty Chai Spiced Latte and Matcha Latte w/added salted caramel syrup. The DCSL came out first but had no latte. We let the barista know and then they found that the milk dispenser on their machine was empty. They were able to fix the drink and it was fine. The Matcha Latte was good too.In the afternoon I ordered 1 cold Matcha Frappe with added salted caramel syrup. They said that they didn't know if they could make that, and that they would try. Well, they made a delicious Matcha Frappe. I mean it's only the matcha powder with ice and milk blended...My drink was pretty good. They could have added a half scoop more of matcha powder but hey it was their first time. Overall, 16oz beverages for $7-10 is a good price for a tournament truck. Thanks!"
"I love these specialty drinks at events. The pastries are unique and amazing. The pastries are not only tasty but beautiful. Setups are always beautiful for on the go coffee and eatery. Staff is sweet and I look for her website to see where she will be next. ."
"I have eaten the food truck three times now! Yum!!! The taco salads and nachos are wonderful! Some of the other items include tacos, tamales, tostadas, carne asada tacos, burritos, Mexican chili & quesadillas. They also have appetizers. They will make to order! Some items can be ordered half sized. Their prices are great. They also have canned pop and if you just have a half hour lunch you can actually get a great lunch from here. My only issue is I wish they would have more descriptions of the menus."
"Best BBQ in Kansas City, I've ever had!! So fresh and their sauce is delicious, not to sugary.. You must try!!"
"Yum! Yum! Yum! What is there not to love?! I was so excited when I heard this was here. After trying it I AM SOOOOO HAPPY this is here in coffeyville! It's absolutely delicious. Highly recommend"
"I stopped by this booth at the KC Irish fest, and it was overall a good choice. Their #1 has both fried rice and noodles with their chicken, for those who can't make a decision. The chicken was fine, the fried rice wasn't my favorite, but the noodles were great. They actually have a dish that is just noodles, and honestly, if I stop by again, I think I'll get that. If I hadn't tried the rice, I probably would put them at a 4, so I do not suggest getting that."
"Ordered carne asada through their website. 3 tacos for 10.00 was ready in less than 20. Unplaced this order when i was passing it on the way to drop someone off at the airport and it was ready on the way back. Tacos had flavorful meat with onions and cilantro, one mojo sauce which was mild and one rojo which i'd say was medium spicy. It's located where Platte city fuels is."

I hired the Burg & Barrel truck for a work event and they did a fantastic job. We had around 70 people all at once and they kept up with the demand with minimal wait times and hot food. Everyone commented how great the food was and the portions were large. Booking was super easy and they were very communicative. Would definitely hire them again!

I stumbled upon this food truck during an event they were catering at UMKC. This accidental taco consumption lead to some amazing food. I ordered a classic taco with shredded meat, corn, pico, and sauce along with a veggie taco complete with sweet potato, black beans corn and cabbage. Both were great, but the veggie taco blew my mind! Sweet potato in a taco?! This taco had all the right ingredients and the sweet potatoes were roasted perfectly-the flavors were delicious! I can now blame Casual Foodie for my veggie taco obsession and I'm definitely going to be looking for this food truck at events in the future!

Wowza! Decided on the #1, called the whole porkin' thing. The sandwich is $8.50 and consists of roasted pork on a farm to market ciabatta bun. It also has chimichurri, fried shallots, and topped with buttermilk aoili. The roasted pork was really good. A few bites of the pork were overcooked but mostly it was very tender, juicy, and tasty. The ciabatta bun is really good and meshes perfect with the fried shallots and aoili. Another slight drawback is the aoili. It's really tasty but a little greasy and messy. Don't get it on your clothes or you will have a guaranteed stain. Really good, tasty, filling sandwich though!

I tried the fish and fry combo. The portions were large and the fish was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed that crunchy batter with fish still being tender and flaky! Im a malt vinegar girl but did enjoy the spicy sauce as well. Would have been 5 stars if the fish itself would have had more flavor.

A new food truck on the scene in Kansas City. I happened upon them at The Art Garden in Berkley Park last Sunday. A vibrantly colored truck and pumping Cuban music, it's hard to miss if you are in the vicinity. Specializing in Cuban coffees and other soft drinks, pastries, empanadas and croquetas. With the afternoon heat, my buddy and I went for the decadent iced espresso drinks; he, the mocha and I, the Cafe Bombon. The Bombon is the Cuban version of a Cafe Sua da, using espresso and sweet condensed milk. Poured over ice, add whip cream, an edible chocolate wafer straw and a clover flower bud for decorative garnish and for $7.50, I enjoyed the most wonderfully sweet and refreshing drink of the summer. i have immediately started following them on social media so I know when and where I can repeat the experience in the near future and try the empanadas next trip.

"Fantastic food truck! They really do amazing BBQ and have great specials!! And support a small business!! Can't miss with Bull Creek!!"
"I like a good value, and this new, semi-permanently located food truck delivered one during my takeout lunch experience. The taco platter ($9.99) included three beef or chicken hard shell tacos, rice and refried beans. All entrées and any orders over $12 also included complimentary chips, espinaca cheese dip and salsa. My order was ready just six minutes after I ordered at the window, where the service was helpful and accommodative without a language barrier. The payment process went smoothly, but the screen on the credit card reader was poorly lighted and hard to read. The order was well-packaged for transport, with tacos, beans and rice individually packaged. The chicken tacos had generous amounts of moist, tasty, shredded, white chicken with fresh veggies and shredded cheese on delicious 6" hard shell shells. I liked the generous portion of moist and flavorful rice, but the portion of refried beans was in a somewhat small, uninsulated container, so the beans were cold by the time I got home.I was surprised by the very generous portions of espinaca cheese dip and thin, crispy tortilla chips. Unfortunately, my order did not include the complimentary salsa, which would have been a nice addition to the meal. The menu included street tacos with seven meat choices. No outdoor seating was provided.Overall, very nice for the price!"
"Tried the burnt ends sandwich last week. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Today, tried the smoked chicken wings with garlic Parmesan sauce. These were the best, smoked wings I have ever had. Definitely worth the money. The food was at our table quickly and the waitstaff is very friendly. They also offer an all you can eat pizza and salad buffet for lunch for $10! Open on Sunday's which is a huge deal for a small town! You won't be disappointed!"
"Quick service. I had one of their big sushi rolls. I talked to a regular who said there burgers are great."
"We got the Kabuto roll, the hibachi chicken, and the gyoza dumplings. Everything was delicious. It was ready fast too! Call in your order ahead of time and it'll be even faster!"
"Cajun dusted Mako shark served over lemon pepper slaw and topped with a shrimp Florentine sauce. This was a Friday night special and like all of the sandwiches it is a two fisted monster! But, not only is it big it's loaded with freshness and flavor!"
"Four days later and I am still thinking about the chicken. I think it's fire roasted. but I do know it is delicious and moist. I ordered the half chicken which came with rice, beans, tortillas and sides to make your own wrap. it was so good. i sat in my car and devoured it easily. please stop by and support this local food truck."
"Delicious, filling food. I had a baked potato piled high with brisket and Mac & cheese. It was HUGE and so delicious. The owners were extremely friendly and such a joy to talk with. Easy to miss spot, but worth your time to stop by."
"Omg if you haven't been to the truck YOUR missing out!!! If you're in town and want great seafood or something different come here please."
"We stopped here on our way back up to Iowa and it is such a cute place!!! The staff was super friendly and the coffee was delicious as well as the food!! Wish i could've tried everything on the menu! Defiantly come stop here if you are on the road or nearby! Their protein latte is such a genius way to make your morning coffee a bit more nutritious and tastes just as good as any non-protein latte if not even a little better"
"This new food truck offered great service, delicious food and generous portions during my takeout lunch visit. The gyro rice platter ($13.99) included flavorful rice, perfectly cooked beef and lamb, fresh veggies and a tasty sauce.I found the service to be cheerful, helpful and fast - nice!I also noticed a nearby picnic table.Very nice!"
"I've been wanting to try this Soul BBQ. Finally, I caught them OPEN. The atmosphere was very homey, and the gentleman behind the counter was very professional and knew the items back and forth. The service was great. Love was placed in the food. My order consisted of 1 Fry Bread, 1 order of smoked chicken wings/ loaded chicken fries, and Loaded Chicken Fries."
"This food truck has AMAZING! Fresh grilled chicken, the seasoning was delicious! I have to mention also that there service was extremely fast and they take Cash or credit cards! Stop in a get some hot and fresh chicken!!!"
"Indigenous food at it finest! Great place. Everything is made from scratch. I had a which included chicken tamale , paridito and a cheese quesadilla, black bean and rice. Everything was delish and it was more than I can eat. Much praise for the amazing tamale! I do not think I've had one better than this. Cute restaurant inside with colorful tables. Great drinks ! Very friendly staff.. the owner comes through and talks to customers."
"Taco-ish was at a local brewery and I was in need of a snack so I decided to check them out. I ordered a steak quesadilla. It took about 10 minutes. The service was friendly. The quesadilla was good. It was a little light on the steak but overall it was decent sized. I would definitely try one of their other offerings-tacos, burritos, or nachos if I see them out again."
"Have you seen all these food trucks showing up around KC? woooo-eee those things are getting fancy! What with all their locally sourced, vegan, gluten free, free range wonderfulness? That's all well and good for you high-falootin foodies out there, but some people like their food truck experiences with a little less pretension. Something tried and true. Something like Gyro Express.I remember stumbling towards Gyro Express for over a decade now, as a barely-legal drinker coming into Kansas City to party in Westport. 3:00 AM would roll around, and I'd stumble from whatever terrible bar that i thought at the time was awesome, heading into the general direction of this food truck. To this day I love their gyros. They taste like nostalgia. And tzatziki sauce. Yes, it is true. Gyro express makes a killer gyro. All lamby and tzatziki-ey. Pillowly pita. mmmmm. What they also make is a killer falafel sandwich. Delightful fried balls of chickpeas wrapped in pita, served with the aforementioned heavenly sauce, lettuce and tomato? Vegetarian street night gloriousness. Today, this truck can generally be found in Westport in the evening, though I have seen it show up at 13th and Main off of the Power and Light District. I'm not going to say it's the best food ever. Often times I will pass it up for something a bit more highbrow. But when you're in a certain frame of mind, it more than hits the spot."
"Absolutely incredible. The person taking our order talked me into ordering tripa, which I never in a million years would want to try. But he really sold it well so I tried it and was blown away! It was so delicious, as was the quesabirria and queso dip. I cannot wait to go back again!"
"I eaten here numerous times and always great food and awesome service. It's street tacos and about 1:75 each . There beside firestone and FSO and Spanish authentic"
"This is a food truck that's set up shop in a parking lot next of a tattoo shop at the northeast corner of Santa Fe and Buchanan. The food is a-ok. I really liked the street tacos, especially the carnitas. The burrito was filling, but left me looking for a little more. The staff is friendly and eager to answer any questions you have. This is a good spot if you're close however I would not make a special trip."
"The food is good! The service is fast! The price is unbeatable! The ambiance is fast but not rushed!"
"We hired Heather and Scott for our wedding on June 5, 2016. I ordered the largest package they had with 3 meat choices and 3 sides. They were so helpful and helped so much with planning out the catering, I had waited two weeks before the wedding before picking catering and they were great with communication. My venue at The Barn at Killcreek Farm required liability insurance and their business license, Heather was great with communication and sent me things very quickly when asked. Most of our communication was through facebook and email. She made it very easy to pay, I was able to pay for it from the ease of my computer at home. She offered meeting in person but my schedule was very busy before the wedding. She let me know of the set up time and they were ready to serve even before the wedding started. They had a beautiful set up with black table covers and a lovely buffet serving style. Both her and her husband kept the food stocked and it was always hot and moist. Our meats included: Pulled Pork with Buns, Brisket and Chicken. Our sides: BBQ Beans, Green bean cassrole and Scalloped Potatoes.Heather was preparing plates for both bride and groom (I was the bride) just in case we had no chance to eat. She also offered to take care of the desserts that we had brought, including the option of icing our cookie cake if needed. She transported all our cookies from our containers to serving plates and did everything so sanitary, including wearing gloves. I appreciated every aspect that both Heather and Scott brought. Our guests loved the food and talked about it all through the night, I personally really loved the BBQ beans and the pulled pork. She brought containers for me to take home the leftovers and was very accommodating. My two young nephews were at the wedding and wanted to help the caterers, Heather and Scott were both very kind and patient with them. Heather and Scott both did the set up and clean up, it was completely stress free. I would highly recommend them for any wedding/event. Our event was 75 people."
"So I'm wondering if Spanish speakers use ADM (¡Ay, Dios Mío!) for OMG...it certainly applies when you bite into the sandwich this little place is named for.Yes, I finally made it to the brick-and-mortar home of the previously mentioned food truck, and I was not disappointed. The Crazy Burger is Crazy Good, and the smell of it was driving me Loca as I drove it home. This thing is a monster! The burger just about fills the oversized bun, and I'm not sure I ever figured out how many other things were under there. Bacon, ham, avocado, lettuce, and tomato for sure, and mayo or some other yummy sauce. The quality of the beef they use is first rate. And when they offer you "sauce" on the side, take 'em up on it! It's a little cup of the best salsa I've ever had-I don't know what the seasoning is that sets it apart, but I wish I'd asked for a gallon of it.I didn't ask for fries, but I got some. Not a huge amount (you don't need a lot); they're frozen, I'm sure, but very well done. Forget ketchup, dip 'em in that salsa. Also on the menu are "Crazy Fries"...I don't even want to think about how ridiculously good those are.The locale and simplicity of the interior have been well documented by other Yelpers; rather than being turned off, I love these places! It's clean, the people are nice, and if it took a bit to get my food, it's because it was completely hot and fresh. The challenge now will be to branch out and order something besides the burger or pambazo. But I think I'm up to it!"
"I ran across this fairly new family owned and operated food truck at a local sports bar.My shawarma salad ($8.00) was reasonably sized with a good amount of delicious, marinated chicken, fresh veggies and a tasty Mediterranean sauce.I liked the reasonable prices and the fast (two minute), friendly, helpful and cheerful service - nice!Overall, very nice!"
