"I've been exploring new places and I just gave this a chance. This is literally by my house and I just now found out about it. I got the regular chicken sandwich to try with no onions and pickles and some fries on the side. It was very good! The chicken was cooked well and the flavor was amazing. We just went thru the DT so we didn't get to check eating at the location but other than that, the service was great and very friendly. Please give this place a chance. Is delicious!"

"Pancho's slaps. Open nice and late, serving sizes are super large and affordable. The hot cheeto burrito is as good as it sounds and their sides are great.It's definitely dated and not very welcoming from the outside, but the food speaks for itself. The line moves pretty slowly but I've gotten lucky a few times going at off-hours and not having to wait. Unfortunately the area isn't the safest late at night. Last time I went, there were a few folks hanging out around my car and the drive through window clerk was visibly uncomfortable. However, this doesn't speak to Pancho's food and overall likeability. Give it a try (when the line isn't long haha)!"

"I went here with a coworker who was on the KU football team while he was in college. Burrito King is just a couple blocks from the football weight rooms, so I can imagine a couple players frequent this spot! The drive through was pretty quick at 1:30 pm - we ordered 2 everything burritos, mild and hot sauce, and a couple drinks. The burritos were HUGE! Mine was easily two meals. Kind of regret getting the everything burrito - could have left out the ground beef which wasn't super flavorful. But it was pretty good with the mix of mild and orange/hot salsa. Horchata was decent but had lots of ice for a medium."
"Mr. Gyros is always a go to place for me. I work very close to the Leawood location and and time I forgot my lunch at home or needing something in a pinch, Mr. Gyros comes through for me. I always get the chicken plate. I don't know what they marinate their chicken in but it is absolutely delicious. I love getting fresh hot pita to dip in the tzatziki sauce. This is great if you are needing to pick up and go or dine in and enjoy. I know some of my co workers also love the gyro meat which I haven't tried before. I definitely recommend going if you are in the area. It is consistently good and I have never had a back experience. Friendly staff and food is ready fast!"

Being in the middle of a low trafficked strip mall makes us forget about this gem. Yet, every time we eat here we have a 5-star meal! Taco Tuesday is a great deal with the four most common meats $2 per taco. Heck of a deal if you like chicken or pork! Personally, I think they have the best Chorizo in the entire city! Try it, you will not regret it I promise! The place is usually packed, but they always churn out the food at a very fast pace. The cashier and cooks are always very friendly too! The salsa bar still exists, but if you are getting your food To-Go, they have premade containers of all the salsas and pico now. The very hot Green Salsa is so good, but buyer beware, it is HOT!! The light Red Hot Salsa is great too. They have added a walk through market next store that opens the whole place up with a half wall in between locations. Don't forget to pick up some tortillas or chips on your way out. Thanks El Fogon!!

Had a chance to sit at the counter inside and chat with the team during a slower weekday lunch service. The burgers are a tiny bit drier than what you might be used to with White Castle but right on flavor-wise. If you're not sure, order 4 first. 6 was really filling for me.

After feeling let down by my last trip to Popeyes, my fried chicken itch had not been scratched. It had been a few years since I'd been to Strips so I thought I'd try them again. Ordered the 7 piece strips (it's literally the name, gotta get them, right?) and a side of fried pickles and jalapeños. I can't resist fried pickles and jalapeños sounded like a good add. Almost added a drink but that would have put my total over $20 so I opted for water. Totaled out to $18.05, still a bit pricey but when I got my plate 2 and 2 made 4. Food came out quick and was clearly fresh. Service was on par for fast food; nothing to ride home about there. Spent the next 40 minutes eating and watching cars go by on Santa Fe. Not some place I'd bring a date but there's something that's not a screen to look at which I always consider a plus. Finally the food; what everyone wants to know: was it good? Eh. I've had better strips; these were a bit bland despite the hype of its pretzel breading. The fried pickles and jalapeños, on the other hand, made up for the lackluster protein. Guess I'll have to come back and try something else, if for nothing more than to get those pickles again. Tl; dr: good fried pickles and mid strips. You get volume for the price. Recommend driving through.

I have been coming to Dominic's since I was a child and they had a drive through off of North Oak. Fast forward they had a location off North Oak that you could dine in and fast forward again they now have a car wash option as well as a drive-through off 64th St. Dominic's is a long time family favorite of your classic Italian dishes. The service here is always wonderful and the employees are super helpful and friendly. This location has a really nice dining area for larger groups as well as a drive-through. Dominic's has some of the best Italian in Kansas City. It's definitely a must try.

Woooooooo!!! So since I been making this trip to kc, this place has been in my list and thought it was wayyyyyyyyyyy away from the airport, my Uber driver, had no problem making the pit stop. Let's just start with the building. Next to the hospital so I'm sure this place is busy! The drive thru on a Monday was outside the parking lot! So that was a sign to me this place was worth it and MANNNNNN KC did it again boy! This nicely battered chicken with just the right touch of seasoning to my 3 piece dinner meal. I wish I could have tried everything. The food was good I could have fallen asleep again from a food coma.

"Stopped on our way through on Christmas Day. Everything was fresh and hot. Crab Rangoon was exceptional!! The honey walnut shrimp I expected to have a sauce of some sort. I appreciated them being open. Front desk person was pretty curt to customers, talked so fast was impossible to understand, and was not very nice to the fireman that came in wanting to split checks (my guess is big order for crew on shift Christmas Day). Bathroom was clean, food was hot, crab Rangoon was amazing, front desk kid - not amazing."

"This is one of my wife's and I favorite fast food places. I've never received anything bad from this place. The order taker is always so relaxing and personable it makes deciding my order really easy. If it's your first time I recommend the Philly cheese steak or the gyro but again nothing is bad on this menu. "How could I eat here and not do a Yelp? I admit, I got it door dashed good from Chick-in-waffle when I'm 5 minutes away. The order was still warm and I enjoyed it. I loved the bubble waffle and wished I had ordered another. It was crispy and delicious. Albeit huge. The chicken was better seasoned than Crane's and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a second piece of chicken, thinking it was a chicken finger. It's not. It's almost an entire meal I do wish I'd gotten a second waffle. I don't trust restaurant maple syrup to be 100%, so I use mine. I ordered a frozen strawberry drink. This might have been ordering it from DoorDash, it was mostly melted. I've ordered slushies from other places, they are frozen. I'm so close to Chick in Waffle and will be ordering or visiting there again (and probably on repeat.)"
"Crispy and Co has mouthwatering food offerings, ranging from Korean fried chicken to other savory options like onion rings, fried dumplings (with a delectable soy garlic sauce) , fries and tater tots. I first visited in November when they were newly opened, and I immediately became obsessed with this place! I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I settled on the guilty pleasure. The guilty please has a base of golden fries, and is topped with chopped up fried chicken tenders, thinly sliced onions, special sauce and sweet chili. I can honestly say I have never had anything like it before! The combination of all the flavors will leave you wanting more after each bite! This place has become a mandatory stop during my visits to Topeka in the last few months. I can totally see them opening up a second location near the downtown area. I have tasked myself with continually exploring the menu, and I have not been disappointed once! Service is always fast and I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for food. There's a small seating area, and it's limited during the busier times of day."

It was brought to my table two minutes after I ordered at the counter, where the service was accommodating and nicely trained. The burger had a perfectly cooked, but thin, beef patty with mustard and fresh veggies (including crisp lettuce) on a fresh bun. I found the fries to be tasty without being too greasy and the spicy ketchup was a nice addition. This location offered a basic dining area inside with two drive thru lanes outside. "I was a little nervous about the drive thru because I had noticed it wasn't moving very fast when I was at one of the shops in the same shopping center. I decided to go ahead and get in line and it wasn't too bad. I think it was just one order must have held them up a little, not that they were being extra slow.I ordered a beef gyro and an italian steak for their 2/$7.99 sandwich special and a 4 piece catfish with biscuit to take home to my mom.The beef gyro was really good although their lettuce is the finely shredded type that instantly turns to sludge when something warm touches it, so next time I would do NO LETTUCE. There was a lot of meat on the sandwich and it was really tasty. The Italian Steak I didn't eat until later so the lettuce was pretty icky by then. I did not think the sandwich was that flavorful and it probably wouldn't be something I'd get again.Mom loved the catfish. You get 4 big filets. The breading is nice and light, just barely a coating which is nice and it's seasoned well too. Mom said she liked their catfish better than the place that we usually get catfish from that specializes in fish!In this area, masks are still requested and I noticed several employees were wearing masks around their chins but not over their faces, which doesn't really make a lot of sense. I know they are not "required" but why even bother to have them on?"
"I haven't had Spangles in years. What a treat!! We recently moved to Lee's Summit from Las Vegas. We drove down to visit our friends in Galva, KS. On the way, we stopped @ Spangles. It was amazing, as I remember! The sourdough sandwhiches have a little less butter these days, but that's okay. The turkey sandwich is hard to beat. Also the mushroom and Swiss steak burger is outstanding! Their fries are the best in the world of fast food and always have been. It was so good we stopped there again on the way home. Delish! "I noticed that this location was especially clean, and had plenty of seating. I'm so grateful to have Jersey Mike's as a yummy place for my husband and I to grab gluten free sandwiches that are safely made - they do a really great job of eliminating the risk of cross contamination by wiping things down, and using a separate tray and utensils while assembling the sandwiches. Is the Udi's gluten free bread the best bread we've ever had? Absolutely not. It's pretty dense and dry. But that's not a Jersey Mike's problem, that's an Udi's problem. And at the end of the day we're just grateful that there's a sub shop that's safe for us to eat at!"

Why the sudden explosion of the former I have no idea. I expect 3/4 of them to be out of business within 18 months. I digress.So, yes, this is nothing like that former experience where your experience can be at the hands of the newest KU student or high school grad working for minimum wage between them reading their texts. Someone in the kitchen, someone at the counter. No muss, fuss, no shots of tequila. You know where to find those.For lunch we had the carnitas platter and it was an exceptional plate of food of the very best kind. The meat was utter perfection. Moist, savory, with a few small burnt bits for texture. Exceptional rice and beans, guacamole with onions and tomato and four steaming corn tortillas. Heavenly bites. If they can repeat this a couple of times I'm happy to go 5 stars. The interior is not particularly welcoming, no one visible upon entering, and you order at the rear of the restaurant at the counter. Odd, why they did that I have no idea. Immense improvement just by taking down some paneling they've put up to obscure the view. They deliver your food on Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, plenty of napkins, sauces in small individual containers. Will they make it? I hope so. This is good, honest, real food that satisfied and then some. Must spread the word and hope others find the chow here as very appealing as did we on our first visit."
