"Jasper's is an all time favorite place to dine. Special occasions or just a random Tuesday. Every dish is spectacular and tasty!! We love talking with Kasper as he wanders around the dining room. We recommend Jasper's any chance we get."
"In times past we just order pizzas to go and boy are their pizzas great, but tonight we decided to try something new. We had never been in and sat down at the restaurant so we thought let's mix things up. The Ragu di Manzo is amazing. I devoured it so quickly and the only sad part was I wanted more and my plate was empty. The pork was delicious and the sauce devine. The lasagna is a lot of food. It is amazing and definitely a must try with the bolognese. The lasagna is very cheesy which makes it even better. The two different spritz drinks were dangerously delicious."
"After a round of golf in the greater KC area, my friend couldn't stop raving about Baba's, so I had to see what all the hype was about. And let me tell you, Baba's Pantry truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best Mediterranean spots in the Kansas City area. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, I'll definitely be back, especially after a good round of golf!I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap, and wow, it was amazing! Perfectly moist, with a balanced filling that brought so much joy to each bite. If you like a bit of heat, do yourself a favor and get a side of their hot sauce--it adds the perfect kick for any spice lover like myself. They're also generous with the portions. The wrap alone was satisfying, but the large serving of fries sealed the deal. I even tried a bite of my friend's falafel, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've never been a huge falafel fan, but Baba's were moist, flavorful, and unlike the dry ones I've had elsewhere. Plus, the hummus! Whether it came with my friend's meal or as a side, they really don't hold back. So much hummus, and it was delicious! The space inside is cozy, with just a few tables (about 4-5), giving it a laid-back café vibe. Be prepared to wait during peak lunch hours, but trust me--it's worth it!"
"The food here is sooooo good. Definitely is your local deli. I also got an Apple fritter, and a chocolate long John they were so soft and delicious."
"Everything is so fresh and worth the trip. Make sure to stop by the Olive bar and pick out a few items. Everyone working is very friendly and efficient with service. It was a piece of Sicily in Kansas City."
"Went for the Caesar. Very disappointing. I wanted it colder, which might just be from inattentive waitstaff, but wilty lettuce will never impress. We had just a few minutes to eat and run and they boxed our pizza to go as their recommendation. It was good. Good vibes. We liked the music and the low key feel."
"Giovanni's is a great locally owned deli and Italian restaurant. They serve fresh, homemade Italian sandwiches, pasta dishes, and sides. You can purchase meat by the pound from the deli as well to enjoy your sandwich combinations at home or on the go. They offer inside dining, a drive-thru, and carryout. We love their toasted ravioli, pasta with meatballs, and sandwiches. Delicious!!"
"My favorite part of King G is when the bar opens its garage door windows on a nice day.Nothing beats a flash of outside air during Kansas City's best days. The upstairs ground level is a welcome space. You can belly up to the bar or find seats at some of the island tables, but you can also walk around without issues, even when it's busy. The bar on the downstairs level is a little more exclusive, which is fine. I think it adds to the mystique. The drink menu includes a solid list of cocktail options paired with some of the best local beers.Food from the attached deli is better than good."
"Just moved in the area and ordered pizza from there for the first time. Amazing! Nifty little store with all the last minute things you need. Will be back for sure!"

Pros: Great food! - The food is authentic & delicious. Fresh produce, prepared perfectly, much is purchased locally. Clean - Always clean and smelling of delicious Italian food. Cons: Some (not all, mostly the older guys) of the wait staff are pompous jerks - Depending on who you get is how you'll be treated. Fancy clothing helps, but doesn't always do the trick. Wait time - I'm not exaggerating when I say you'll be there for 3 hours or more. There are several courses and a LOT of waiting between each. It's an event, not just a meal.Expensive - Drinks & side table mozzarella with your meal? Be prepared to pay. Our table of 5 was over $400 and one was a child. To sum up: Dress up (don't forget your thickest skin), come early & plan to stay late, don't forget your wallet $$, & come hungry, you'll definitely love the food and possibly the service...possibly.

I've been to Bella Napoli multiple times and the service, ambiance and food are all SPOT ON!Kliti has been our server multiple times and is a delight. This most recent time we had Katie who was just as lovely. The service really lends well to the ambiance of the restaurant. What I really love about Bella Napoli is that is a neighborhood experience. It's very homey inside and the fact that Kliti welcomes us back every time and asks about my family, is just so great. It feels like you're in a neighborhood spot in the middle of Italy. The food is also so delicious. I've never had a bad meal. Everything is fresh, tasty and unique. There are always yummy specials as well!

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Palestinian CuisineBaba's Pantry is a must-visit! The food is authentic and delicious--creamy hummus, perfectly crispy falafel, and daily flavors of lemonade. The shawarma wraps are packed with flavor and super satisfying. Even the vegan shawarma! The staff is incredibly welcoming, making you feel like family, and the cozy atmosphere reflects the richness of Palestinian culture. This is more than a meal; it's an experience. I feel spoiled every time I see Baba Kamal when he spoils me with his service. Can't wait to come back!

This place is so simple and so unassuming that if you're here it can only be for one of two reasons:1) You're from the area and you've been coming here for 15+ years.2) You heard about it from someone in 1). (or maybe you found it on Yelp)Everything thing about this place is punishingly plain...and then you can your sandwiches. They are fresh, meaty, crisp, nourishing, perfectly executed. None of the parts are extraordinary but the overall sandwich Gestalt is just mind-blowing.Come here for lunch.

Sure, you might pay a little more. And yes, sometimes parking is not the easiest thing to do. But if you want gourmet Italian groceries, then this is the best game in town.I've stepped up my kitchen game as I've gotten older. I tend to appreciate nuances in better olive oil, imported tomatoes, and different flavorings to add to dishes like pasta or risotto. I can find genuine, imported goods at Carollo's at prices that I'm willing to meet. The deli selection is off the chart, whether you're getting cured meats, imported cheeses, or even a sandwich to go. I tend to buy a little bit more each time so that I can have pancetta on hand in the freezer or fresh Parmesan for whenever I'm going to be making pasta, which is frequently. The space can get a little crowded, but the staff is always friendly and moves through lines quickly. Selections at the olive bar are really worth the try and if you're feeling like you need something sweet, then cannoli shells are on hand just waiting for you to fill them at home. It's an authentic, old-style grocery with everything you would need for the fresh eats. I highly recommend taking some steps up the olive oil quality ladder, because you can really tell the difference it makes in various dishes, and even as a dressing. Sure, you can order online, but that defeats the point of taking a step into an authentic Italian grocery and enjoying a small slice of Kansas City.

I honestly can't believe I haven't written this review sooner--this is my FAVORITE place to come for pizza! The food is fantastic, the vibe is chill and welcoming, and the service is always impeccable! For food, I'm a HUGE fan of the choose your own topping slice--they have a lot of toppings to choose from, and this slice is not a normal slice... It is giant. I always have leftovers, and the pizza is always so delicious! Also cannot go wrong with their bread sticks--I always add garlic and mozzarella to mine because they are so good! They have a full bar with many different beers on tap to choose from! I've had cocktails from there, and they were great! So glad this place is in my neighborhood and that it is so great! Many times a week, they have different specialized nights, so if you like live music or local markets, this is the place for you! Thanks to everyone at the Combine for being amazing. Every time I come in there, I have an amazing time chatting with the servers and learning more about our community and what's happening!

I'm all about helping out and supporting family businesses. When I'm on vacation, Yelp is always on when I'm searching for new places to eat and I try very hard to avoid the chains. Giovanni's was an absolute bullseye for purchasing some hoagies for the ballpark to see the Phillies/Royals game. My brother and brother-in-law and I got the Italian which was stacked with so much meat that we all only had to eat half of it at the game before being stuffed. The only negative I had was that the bun was like a soft hotdog bun and not a Amoroso roll which would have a better consistency for this amount of insides. With a bottle of water it came to $17 and change. The place has been around for decades, same family, and everyone was so friendly. They also have Italian specialties of pasta, lasagna, meatballs, and other goodies which if I were around longer I'd come back for. A couple of senior citizen patrons talked with us saying she's tried everything on the menu at least once except the shrimp (allergy) and loves everything. The owner(?)/cashier said he's a firefighter (or was and now retired) and I'm always happy to support our first responders.Make the trip to Giovanni's. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. When the owners realized we came for the food to bring to the game, they asked how we found out about Giovanni's. I had to say that Yelp was the main factor and your great reviews. Keep it up, Yelpers!

This not just your typical bar. This is also not just your typical sandwich shop. King G serves some of the best sandwiches in Kansas City, along with being one of the top spots for adult nightlife. With two floors, two bars, and a small outdoor standing area, Kind G is always a popular spot on a weekend night. Feeling hungry after hanging out? Step into the King G Delicatessen. I have ordered the Hot Ham and Cheese sandwich an almost embarrassing amount of times! They have chips, drinks, and desserts that you can order along with your sandwich. The delicatessen opens at 11AM until 12PM Monday through Saturday (open later Friday and Saturday), which means you can grab lunch and dinner here whenever you'd like! 10/10 recommend going to King G for drinks with friends, and then stepping into the sandwich shop after.

"Holy moly! This is honestly some of the best Italian food I've ever had, and I travel extensively... I'm shocked how good this place is. Try the meatballs, the garlic oil dip, the fresh bread. WOW!"
"Small local business with friendly staff. There is no indoor seating, so we ended up taking our sandwiches to a nearby park, which on a nice day, works. For $22, we got 2 drinks, 2 good sized sandwiches, 2 chips and 2 desserts (cookie or donuts). Definitely a good value! The sandwiches were solid. Fresh ingredients and made well."
"Just give Jessica 24 hours notice and you too can take home a gigantic lasagna like this. Not joking, this thing weighs at least 6 pounds. Can't wait to dig in. Thank you, Jessica!"
"All right, I feel the need to update my review after several trips here. I am going to knock it down a star, but that still means I enjoy it. The sandwich you choose really makes a difference here. The reuben is still, in my mind, very excellent. I should have just stuck to that - it's probably 4-5 stars. I have also had the club sandwich which is 2-3 stars. For $7 (with tax), you don't get much in the terms of meat or cheese. It's tasty, but not excellent. So it just doesn't seem to have the greatness that its price should warrant. I will keep going here from time to time as money allows, but will need to learn exactly what sandwiches to stick to. Some are great, some are just "meh". The service is still friendly, and the store is clean and nice. The little shop in the back has some neat stuff, but I still have not bought anything to explore how much I like it. One of these days..."
"We were randomly visiting the Pony Express Museum and decided to try a local place for lunch. What a treasure! We split a French dip, chili, and the soup of the day - shrimp corn chowder, and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious - coming in second place to only the exceptional service."
"Food was good we got a Philly and the super sub. They were pretty quick and making them. It was clean and comfortable."
"Clean well stocked salad bar. Husband and I devoured the Tortilla Soup and the Lobster Bisque. The service was quick and attentive."
"I noticed that this location was especially clean, and had plenty of seating. I'm so grateful to have Jersey Mike's as a yummy place for my husband and I to grab gluten free sandwiches that are safely made - they do a really great job of eliminating the risk of cross contamination by wiping things down, and using a separate tray and utensils while assembling the sandwiches. Is the Udi's gluten free bread the best bread we've ever had? Absolutely not. It's pretty dense and dry. But that's not a Jersey Mike's problem, that's an Udi's problem. And at the end of the day we're just grateful that there's a sub shop that's safe for us to eat at!"
"No sandwich in town beats a torpedo. The sauce and bread are better than anything else"
"Truly,,,,a sub above. Turkey & provolone? Yum. Hot cherry pepper relish? YUM! Gotta get the number 7 turkey, add Mayo and the cherry pepper relish (CPR), you WONT be disappointed. And the service? Unmatched in there, such a great atmosphere. Yummalish"
"I grew up in KC area but live on the west coast now. Whenever I come back, I go here because I haven't found a sub sandwich shop like it. It's far better than subway."
"friendly service, clean establishment and the best sandwiches and subs anywhere! especially their italian beef! omg.... i love this place! i have driven 40 miles to get one of their subs!"
