"Decent spot for coffee, breakfast and baked goods. Busy place and a bit loud, but welcoming. Has a back room with a firepit. The hash was decent but I think I'll try something different next time (probably one of the bfast sandwiches). Butter cake was okay, not the best. Coffee was on the sweeter side even with ordering half sweet, so keep that in mind when ordering. Would try again if meeting friends there."
"I usually go to the one in the Crossroads, but I've been to this one on Westport Road the last three times. The employees are always so friendly, and I really enjoy sitting out on the back porch just relaxing with my coffee. I'm going to try to go back every week to do this until the weather changes.I love the spicy Mayan mocha."

"I've always enjoyed this coffee shop, from their bike theme to their tasty pour-overs, and often friendly vibes in the shop. The past few times, it hasn't been quite what I remembered where the vibes are a bit more.. serious? But it's still a good place for getting work done and meetings, and I enjoy the natural light that pours in from the windows. The coffee can really hit and be incredible, or it can wobble down to being average. My latest pour-over didn't have a lot of taste and was just OK, as was a nitro cold brew that was flat. It's still a fun local coffee shop, and one to seek out even if it's tucked away a bit. In fact, that's maybe part of the charm of it -- so many coffee shops have a primo or super convenient location and this one earns it's large following based on the experience and coffee itself. In addition to black coffee, I've had some wonderful iced lattes that were seasonal specialties here. I hope to catch some energizing and fun vibes on my next trip in like I used to here, and overall would recommend it as a spot to check out if you're in Waldo."
"City Market Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops in the KC area. They've got all my favorite things -- delicious breakfast burritos, cold pressed juices, and fantastic coffee. I feel like I'm truly "in the city" when I come here, and I love it."
"Breakfast sandwich is so good. Friendly, open and airy atmosphere! I need 85 characters so I'm writing a little more."
"Always friendly, always feels like home. Deliciousness & The artwork was impeccable (especially using Oatmilk) and the latte was bomb. So sad I am forgetting the Barista's name, forgive me, but I believe it was Erin. Thank you for your skills!"
"Order: Pumpkin Pie Oat Milk Latte! | Maple BarABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! Friendly staff, plenty of indoor seating & some outdoor, cold brew, coffee beans, sparkle waters and kombucha for sale. Also my latte legit tasted like pumpkin pie - it was stunninggggg!!! Thank you guys!!- - Went back for the maple bar... it was WORTH IT!"
"We had a great time here we got a nice muffin got some coffee. It was around Halloween. They had our Halloween decorations up, which we thought was awesome. Because Halloween is our favorite holiday and it was great to see. Prices were good. Food was good."
"Best in Gardner! Fantastic coffee, teas and food. Rivals the best in KS or anywhere! Friendly staff and exceptional service. Very popular meeting place for friends to meet and hang out. We love the crepes that are offered on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays."
"Great coffee. Ambiance is nice. Several places to sit for privacy. Very friendly. Easy location"
"This is a hidden gem in Raymore. Actually hidden in a strip mall. They're open for breakfast & lunch and both are amazing! For breakfast we always get the Greek omelette. Their biscuits and gravy and so good and cheap! For lunch they have the best Rueben in Kansas City! And their gyros are my favorite around. They make everything from scratch including their breads for their sandwiches, tzatziki and thousand island on the Rueben's. Don't forget to pick up one of their many homemade desserts, or coffee!"
"Was in Kansas City for work and some friends took me to The Roasterie Cafe! I loved this cafe and my drink! Going in, the giant airplane with the sign caught my attention; I'm always flying for work so it was a fun surprise to go to an aviation themed cafe! The interior is so spacious! I love that there's so much seating! I wasn't able to check out the tour but I would love to do that sometime soon! I like the unique drinks and lattes on the menu! I got the Crunched for Time (White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Latte) and it was delicious!!! Will definitely be back when I can!"

The best coffee, ambiance, service, and mission around! The few times we've gone, we have gotten coffee flights. They have mocha flights, latte flights, and seasonal flights. This allows you to sample 4 coffees at once, which I love. The seating area is small and can get crowded. There's a few 2 top tables, bar seating, and a center community table. The service is always superb and the coffee is delicious.

I'm a fan of Second Best Coffee. No longer a newbie, Second Best has really carved out a space for itself amongst the creme de la creme of cafes in KC. What do I like about this spot? I love that it's not in an overly pretentious area, that it has ample seating, and that the drinks are reliably good. If anything it can be a bit hipster inside, but you know, it IS a coffee shop so that is somewhat to be expected. Overall I love this place for working and grabbing a really delicious craft coffee beverage.

Found this place while browsing KC. Located in the City Market complex. When you walk in you immediately know you are in a coffee shop. The aroma is coffee and the decor has a neat roasterrie vibe.Purchased some whole coffee bean bags of coffee to give away as gifts. There were a variety of blends and there was even a decaffeinated option. The menu is full with coffee options, smoothies, and desserts, wraps, and sandwiches. The food looks all homemade and scrumptious.Hint: Bought 2 bags of coffee and received 2 cups to select drip coffee options which was a surprise and really nice. Coffee is hot and hits the spot!Fair is fair come check this place out. Prices are reasonably priced and they have seating options inside, outside, and upstairs. Come in for a look, stay and enjoy your beverage and support this local establishment.

I met up with a buddy to study at Heirloom Bakery & Hearth one weekend morning. It was busy but thankfully he had arrived early and was able to snag us a seat inside. On a good weather day, it would be a miracle to snag a patio seat though. Anyway, I woke up hungry that day so I tried their egg & cheese biscuit sandwich and a cold brew. It was heavenly. Now that I'm writing about it, I'm craving another one of those biscuits! A local breakfast must-have! Parking lot is small, you might have to street park!

Hi Hat has still got it! In the metro where we often find big strip malls, ever-widening highways, bigger houses, sprawling city limits, Hi Hat Coffee serves as the perfect antidote to this affliction by serving coffee in a cozy, homey environment. Gently tucked into the West Plaza and Westwood Hills neighborhood, this place has become perfection for me and my little family.I would say it's like grabbing a coffee from your kitchen, but it's more appropriate to say it's like hanging out in the little breakfast nook as you read the paper. This place is incredibly tiny, but everyone easily rolls with it as it adds so much charm.Their baristas are often friendly, and the coffee is fantastic. I love their drip and iced coffees, but this is also one of the few spots where I'll opt for some sort of specialty latte on occasion. The Nutty Irishman (hazelnut and almond, I believe?) and and Bee-Hive (honey and cinnamon) are popular and fantastic, iced or hot. The coffee still shines and they're never overly sweet. I would suggest adding an extra shot of espresso for the larger size. The patio April-October is magical. Good energy and old friends catching up.For me, based on proximity, vibe, quality, and that special, hyper-local flare of Hi-Hat, this is my favorite coffee shop in Kansas City. Keep doing what you're doing Hi-Hat!

Pilgrim has an excellent atmosphere to either get some work done or meet someone to hang out. Their pour over is among the best in the KC metro and my kids endorse their baked goods. Pilgrim also makes a good espresso based drink too. They serve the pour over on these very pretty trays that make the experience a lot of fun. I definitely recommend Pilgrim Coffee.

The place was a great Pet-Friendly space to hangout with my little dog, have a bite to eat and get some work done on a Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for not only being pet-friendly but being friendly to my pet!The food was good and the space allowed for privacy while I was working remotely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

"I've known about Cafe Equinox for an embarrassing amount of time without venturing here. First of all, it's not too far from my house, and secondly, it's such a unique and damn near perfect concept for a coffee shop that I wish I'd come here sooner. When you walk into Family Tree Nursery you'll find a small cafe to the right with bar service. I ordered my drink, and sat down to get some work done. I did see a sign for additional seating but wasn't sure where it was so just took an open spot in front of me. It should be noted that the coffee I had was incredible. The space was calming (being within the walls of a nursery) and the barista friendly. After I finished my work I decided to explore a bit, as I was I found the additional seating and boy did I make a mistake not sitting there. The bulk of the seating is within the greenhouse and it's scattered amongst big beautiful tropical plants. On a winter day, this is a dream. The only thing I didn't care for at this location was the very loud religious undertones that the nursery displays. It's something I can overlook for a good cup of coffee and beautiful atmosphere though."
"We were just driving by and I had this coffee place in my Yelp favorites to try. We happen to go inside this place looks really nice with a very good interiors. They have a setting of helmets and bikes as you can see in the pictures the staff over here was absolutely stunning, respectful helpful we love the way they were welcoming us. We got ourselves, coffee, and a cappuccino. It was amazing..We ordered breakfast sandwiches for us and one thing I did not like was that they were reheating everything like egg and turkey Irish they had something fresh that they could have made for us but other than that this place was amazing. We would definitely try again."
"I was recently in Lawrence to visit my son who attends KU. I've been craving bakery quality dishes and live in a very small town that just doesn't have any good options. This place BLEW ME AWAY. I tried the lemon custard croissants, cherry danishes, and salted chocolate chip cookies. Everything was so buttery, flaky, salty, sweet!! The perfect mix. Their delicate laminated pastries are as good as anything I've ever tried and even as good as the little shop in Paris that has been the object of my affections since I visited many, many years ago. There's really no seating, it's a tiny space with some chair rails so don't go expecting a sit down experience. But do go expecting to taste the best pastries you've ever had! (Oh small side note, bathroom was pristine and so nice!) Apple Maps doesn't take you to the right location but google maps does."
"Friendly Bean is everything good about small business, coffee, and service. I love the punch cards (buy 10, get one). The White Christmas Latte was the best! I really hope they bring it back next December. The fancy schmancy bakery items are gone now. I still miss the cream cheese croissant, but I console myself with muffins. The happy harvest muffin is like carrot cake. Yum! My husband hated coffee until he tried a Friendly Bean iced caramel macchiato. He's now a regular. I think it's implied, but I will say it, Friendly Bean is the best place for coffee in the entire Metro."
"When it was suggested to take a business meeting at Whistle Stop Coffee I jumped at the chance. Since I live in Overland Park, it's not every day that I make it to this part of town, and this place looked like a fun coffee shop to sample. It's located in a really cute part of downtown Lee's Summit, and I'm pretty sure a train goes by just across the street (hence the name). There isn't a ton of parking, but I was lucky and found a spot right outside. Be prepared to walk a bit if you come here during peak hours as I bet those prime spots fill up fast. When I walked in it was so cute, warm, and welcoming. I spoke a bit with the barista as I wanted something unique to their menu and I ended up with one of their speciality drinks. The name of it is escaping me at the moment, but I remember really enjoying it and thinking to myself how pleasantly surprised I was by this morning treat. We took our meeting in a little booth, and honestly it was all in all a great spot for a meeting. The wi-fi was good, the coffee good, and the ambiance really enjoyable. If I'm back in Lee's Summit anytime soon you can bet I'd return."
"The best local gem! It's a little hidden, but absolutely amazing. All the bread is freshly made from a sourdough starter which is much healthier. The service is always wonderful and quick. Everyone is super sweet and clearly loves working there. The hash browns are incredible... the cinnamon rolls... the caramel macchiato pancakes... the breakfast burrito. All amazing!"
"Great coffee shop. Service, coffee and food was good! I loved the quaint coffee shop feel."
"You have to check out their new taiyaki cones! They are SO good. I love coming to Fairway Creamery for their unique flavors of coffee and donuts.I also tried their special over the weekend. The collabed up with Mr Ds donuts. They added poki sticks and donuts to top the cone. I also got the sprinkle cone which was amazing! When arriving, parking is super easy and the entrance is easy to find. There is plenty of seating inside and on the outdoor patio. The patio is very dog friendly. You also have to try their coffee ice cream! It's soooooo good! A great local spot for ice cream!"
"Good food, good coffee and a cool vibe! A great place to grab and go or sit and work for a bit."
"I tried them as they had a food truck at the Lenexa Market. They had what appeared to be their full drink menu available on the truck. I tried a Teddy Graham flavored latte. Service was fast and friendly. The latte wasn't bad, more cinnamon taste than graham cracker. Also tried a snickerdoodle cookie, as they had about 6 or so baked items to choose from. It was hard & definitely over cooked, wasn't a fan of it. Next time I'm in the area, will try the brick and mortar location to see if there is a difference."
"This place is a quirky/funky little coffee shop. They have Keto options and a LOT of sugar free options on their food and coffee menus! Latte's are AMAZING!!! They have sugar free, gluten free, low carb snickerdoodle cookies that are to die for!!! Great and relaxing outdoor seating area too!! Open 7 days a week, 8am to 8 pm - easy hours to remember. Enjoy!!!"
"I was a fan of Mud Pie when they were located along 39th St. and while I've driven by this spot tons of times it took me forever to finally get here. I have to say I'm glad I stopped in as this is a delightful locally owned coffee shop right in my backyard! They still of course specialize in vegan goodies, and while I haven't yet indulged I'm sure they taste as great as they look. The coffees I've had have been good. One was exceptional so I'm definitely coming back for that again soon. The ambiance is also really nice. It may be located in a suburban strip mall, but the inside is just as funky and chill as it was on 39th st. I've worked here a few times now and it's a wonderful spot to have a meeting, or get some work done over a nice cup of joe."
"10/10, this place was so good.Lots of options, include lactose free ones. The store itself is so cute, and their little logo is a bao bao (bun/dumpling). Tried their taro at 70% sweet (hint, you really only need 50%!) and added some boba. It came with flan.Super smooth, flavorful, sweet, and milky. I drank that thing so fast. The bobas are sweet as well. Not hard like some other places. And the lids that they use are also so cute! This is one of my top boba places in all of KC."
"Good coffee spot with a stellar environment. I see why this spot is a hit!Despite being sworn college rivals with the university in this town, we were glad to explore Columbia and especially take in the downtown by bike. A coffee was definitely in order, and this was the highest rated place that we saw. I loved the big, open space that looked ideal for getting work done. We opted for some cold brews and then sat outside before saddling back up. This is a bit odd here, but I do have to make note of it.. I always get a little pick me up, sometimes a BIG pick me up from cold brew, and I found myself as tired as ever after drinking this. My leading theory is that perhaps we accidentally were served decaf, or maybe the coffee just wasn't that strong on that day. Either way, I really liked the vibe of the space and taste of my drink, and would recommend anyone to check this one out."
"very nice and comfortable and friendly atmosphere the owner very nice lady the staff is great especially Georgia she was a delight to talk to will return when we are visiting the area again"
"This place has not changed since I was in college in the early 2000's. Which is wonderful. The coffee is great strong, flavorful, and multiple blends to pick from. The environment is welcoming and warm on a cold day. The service was kind and knowledgeable. No reason to change when it is working so well."
"Very cute!! Great music!! And amazingly flavorful coffee options to choose from! I did a flight and loved every flavor"
"Revocup is a great little coffee shop in my area! Admittedly, its location doesn't scream coffee shop, but I appreciate how close it is to home. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means but I do really enjoy Revocup's coffee! I'm a latte girl and am never disappointed. Revocup also has plenty of appetizing pastries that constantly tempt me. One of these days I'll give them a try!The staff is kind and service is prompt. They do have a rewards system -- buy 10 drinks get 1 free, I believe. Big fan of that! Plenty of seating and plenty of outlets for those who need to plug in. I will say that when the coffee shop is busy, it can get pretty loud. I'd recommend noise cancelling headphones for those who need to focus. It can also get pretty warm in there in the afternoon when the sun comes in through the windows - so dress accordingly."
"Cashier was zero help and zero smiles (you order at the cash register). In fact she seemed a bit annoyed that we had questions and didn't know the answers. Simple question ("It looks like pretzel bites are the same price on the happy hour menu as the regular menu, is there a difference?" "I dunno..."). Having said that, the food was good and the giant store that it's in is fun to browse around in! Maybe she was having a rough day, But they definitely didn't have their people person on the register. Ok. Rant over, food was fine I'd eat it again. Go check it out!"
"Sunday morning, small town America. It's crowded. They are moving pretty quickly but every single people working there are jerks. Maybe they are overworked, under paid, too busy to be cordial? The food was delicious and quick but a huge part of enjoying a meal is having the people that work at the restaurant give off some sort of joy and pleasantry. This place is not somewhere I'd eat at again because I could stop watching these women acting like A-holes to their customers."
"We popped into Sunrise on 39th for a family breakfast before needing to head up to the Northland this morning. It was a great experience. Our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. I had the chorizo biscuits and gravy which exceeded my expectations. My favorite part of the meal was the unexpectedly decadent iced coffee! My only two thoughts were that service was a smidge slower than I expected because it seemed like they had a lot of delivery orders. I also wished they had a children's menu as we just ordered our toddler daughter some hash browns. Honestly neither of these things were a big enough deal to me to knock off a star in my rating."
"What a delightful place! In my ongoing discovery of KC area coffee shops today I ended up in this gem. Not only was it extremely clean and well maintained, the staff was warm and caring. I ended up having a brown sugar butter Carmel almond milk iced latte ( yeah that's a mouthful), it was delicious and well balanced. I definitely lab to bring friends back here!"
"This is such a cute cafe! They were super quick to make the order and even gave a great recommendation. I got one of the holiday drinks and it was a surprising combination of flavors in coffee. I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to try the others on the menu!"
