"Sushi UNI is one of the best sushi places in KC/Overland Park. Metro. Food is consistently delicious. Recently my father came with me and said it was the best hot and sour he ever had. Service is great, feels like all the servers will help you. It is considerably busy all the time. I aim for opening when I want sushi. Only downfall, which I didn't take a star,is the floors are always slippery if you walk to the bathroom. Be careful."
"We love this place for many reasons. First their happy hour is not limited to just weekdays but is also weekends. The food is delicious as are their drinks."

"My husband and I have been loyal visitors of Blue Koi for years, and it's consistently our favorite spot, especially for their Chinese pot roast. We've enjoyed it both with noodles and in noodle soup, and it's always flavorful and comforting. We've also tried their stir fry chicken dishes, chili wontons, and various dumplings--all equally delicious. The calm, welcoming ambiance and excellent service make every visit enjoyable. We discovered this gem through the Triple D show, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese food, especially for the pork shoulder pot roast."
"If you're wanting a place with a multitude of fresh (emphasis on FRESH) and flavourful (DITTO) dishes, which will include a plethora of choice ingredients at the Mongolian cook station, and a large variety of impressive hand rolled fresh sushi & sushimi with all the accoutrements. You'll also enjoy an extensive & delicious salad & dessert bar; 3 - 4 different soup choices, and a large variety of appetizers & sides... not to forget... they include and a handful of American dishes to suit any palate. So if you are wanting the best Asian buffet experience, then you must at least try "Legends of Asia" on 7 hwy in Blue Springs, Missouri. Seriously, they have never disappointed. I'm not a buffet fan... that said, if I must join friends and family for an Asian buffet... THIS is the only place I will go. They are very well staffed, and have an impressively large selection of dishes to choose from to suit most anyone's tastes. BTW, you can also order from the menu as well."
"We loved each item that we ordered here. The menu list is plentiful so you should definitely come with friends in order to try as much as you can. The mala spice isn't too overwhelming but gives the perfect amount of numbing spicy sensation. My favorite was the Mao Cai hotpot which is perfect for a cold night."
"EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I'm so happy my sister talked me into driving up north to partake in this delicious food. It was spacious, but intimate inside & the staff was amazing & attentive. I'll be back."
"We celebrated the Lunar New Year at Fortune Wok in OP by ordering one of everything (almost )It was ALL was delicious, but the GF Lemon Chicken was soooo also really enjoyed the hot and sour soup - it was different than most places but in a GOOD way Excellent service as well. It was definitely worth the drive from NKC."
"First of all, the food is AMAZING!! order from the "real" Chinese menu, our dishes were recommended and they were delicious! There is an american Chinese menu that I'm sure is good too. The best crab Rangoon I've had, the wonton was so light and the filling was so good! The staff was so sweet too!"
"So grateful that this place reopened!!!! Friendly staff and delicious food! Everything is exactly the same as before! We will be back again soon!"
"We absolutely love this place. We drive in from Gardner just to eat here. The service is always fantastic. Restaurant is nice and clean. And the food is top notch. I ALWAYS get the mint beef salad. My absolute favorite. The family usually sticks with the shrimp pad Thai. Also delicious every time. And we cannot stop here without getting an order of their fresh spring rolls. A little different each time. But always fresh and delicious. This place is an absolute gem. I hope the residents near by realize how lucky they are to have KC Thai!"
"Just moved from California. This is where you go when you want an entree that is going to feed a family of 4. Humble environment = great food. Has house-made Sweet n' sour and duck sauce in packets ready to go. Dishes weren't over-sauced or over-salted. Very oriented towards quick service for take-out, my food was hot and ready upon arrival. I'll be back."
"Our family has been going there for a long time and have always been treated well. Food is always fresh and the service is great."

First visit to Sushi Uni. Small, and once it filled up, it was pretty congested. I ordered the Sashimi Appetizer Plate for starters while my daughter had the Veg. Tempura and Udon. I added one order each of Sake, Tako and Uni Sashimi. The Appetizer Plate had enough food for 2 to enjoy. It had 3 slices of Tuna, Salmon and Octopus each. The sashimi were very fresh, well cut and pretty thick. The Salmon was especially good! The tempura was awesome! Warm, crispy and clean smelling. We had two young ladies taking care of us. As one moved on, the other was there. All in all, it was super satisfying. The food was certainly very good and so was the service. Sushi Uni could very well be my go-to the next time I'm in KC.

I came on a super cold day and got the pork belly bao buns and Boru ramen. The bao buns had a lot of flavor and were perfectly cooked and the sauce on it was a great addition. The ramen was soothing snd easy to sip on a cold winter day. Staff were able to accommodate a no reservation and were quick to get my order in!

We had a great dinner at Blue Koi. We had spicy chili wontons, china moon and dumplings for an appetizer. They were all good but the crispy china moon was a big hit. We all had different entrées and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The chinese pot roast was tender, the fire chicken was a little spicy but not too much...good if you like spicy chili crisp. My favorite was the almond asparagus chicken with noodles...mild, creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, a comfort food dish! We didn't have reservations and had to wait a while on a Friday evening, but once seated, we were promptly served, and the food quickly arrived.

I always have a great dining experience at Sichuan Dynasty. First, the staff are friendly, attentive, and fast. I came at a very busy time and would say I got my food within 15 minutes of ordering. My table of 4 ordered the Water Spinach, Milk & Honey Crispy Shrimp, Beef Cilantro & Peppers, Cold Noodles, and Mapo Tofu. The flavors and quality of the dishes here are great. If you are looking for an appetizer, I highly recommend the cold noodles, as it has great texture covered in a light, flavorful peanut sauce. The water spinach is a great veggie option to pair with the main dishes. The milk and honey crispy shrimp is my personal favorite. The sauce is on the sweeter side and pairs harmoniously with the crispy shrimp. The beef cilantro and peppers would be a great option for those that like some heat as it has jalapeños mixed in. Excited to try their other menu items!

Um, all in all, it's more than okay. My favorite was David's Sushi Roll. But other that, I did Not like the Rock & Roll one BUT I do not like seaweed and I get soy paper and I know that could affect the flavor. Service was really good and the waitresses were really friendly. Being out of town, we had some questions and she was to help.

This was our first time going here and we really enjoyed the food and friendly service. My husband got the Seafood Chefs Special and I got the sweet and sour chicken. Both were delicious and we had plenty to eat. The service was prompt and friendly. We definitely found our goto place for Chinese food.

"Food is very delicious, hot, and fresh.Service: staff is kind and willing to answer any questions.Ambience: not too crowded and not empty plus it was very chill."
"Boyfriend and I have ordered takeout twice this week. Absolutely amazing food, cannot recommend enough!"
"Easily some of the best Chinese food in the area.Don't let the sketch exterior (or interior) deter you. Service is always quick and friendly. The food is amazinggggggggg"
"Best carry out operation that I've found recently! Jasmine Garden is on it. Very good portion sizes with more protein per serving than many other Chinese spots (especially with carry out). The lo mein is my go to, but I haven't had anything that I've disliked. The interior is small, and we've only done carry out but I'm a huge fan."
"Updating my review because I placed two orders of the Black Peppered Beef cook the meat separate from the vegetables. I asked if they could cook the two orders like this: one with beef only and the other with vegetables only. They told me that the vegetables were minimal so they cannot cook just vegetables by itself. I've literally ordered this dish over a dozen times and the meat and veggie portions are nearly identical. I just don't get the logic. I hate to give places low reviews, but this request wasn't outrageous so I'm not sure why there's push back."
"Three friends and I just had a MARVELOUS lunch at Kin Lin, and we are especially grateful to Miranda, our server, for making it such a special event! When we arrived, Miranda was working the entire front of the house; she let us know about that but in a very kind and gentle way--just so we would know what to expect. As we navigated the menus (she brought us both lunch and dinner versions so that we'd know all the options), she gave us details about particular dishes, including the ingredients and how they were prepared. That was very important to us, as two of our party have dietary restrictions. She was friendly and cheerful and so accommodating, making notes for the chef regarding modifications of some of the dishes. She brewed a pot of delicious oolong-jasmine tea for us, and kept the pot refilled throughout our meal. She was incredibly gracious from start to finish, and really did create a special occasion for us.The food itself was DELICIOUS! We had the eggplant (the sweet version) as an appetizer, rice balls for dessert, and a different main course for each of us. I chose the Triple Delight (chicken, shrimp and vegetable) lunch special, which was a perfect portion size, and everything was yummy. I can't remember everyone's dishes, but I do remember one of the dishes was a shrimp fried rice with curry sauce; my friend shared some with me, and it was fabulous! Our spring rolls were crisp, and the rice was perfectly cooked, and everyone raved about the flavors in their dishes. The cost of our meals was extremely reasonable, and the ambience of the restaurant is warm and cozy. It was a perfect meal of truly excellent food, and many thanks again to Miranda for making it so special! Happy New Year!"
"This is one of my favorite Chinese places in the area. I've been ordering Tea Garden delivery for years and always thought it was better than others. Food is flavorful, veggies are fresh, and still have a crunch (instead of being cooked to mush). The food is even better when you dine in and it's made to order. I've been a couple times and have never left upset. My favorite dishes are the peppered beef and shrimp or the salt and pepper shrimp. Delicious and highly recommend."
"We have been here a few times now and find it to be your basic Chinese restaurant. We haven't tried anything terrible nor amazing here. Today was our first time dining in because I wanted to try it fresh and still nothing I would recommend to friends to rush out to try. Decent food for a decent price. I ordered the sauce on the side for my tofu because I was sure if I liked their sauce and apparently it's an extra $1 for that. Wish I was told that prior to making the request but I guess it turned out ok for me because the vinegar was overpowering the sauce. Service was great. We were in and out in under 30 minutes."
"I tried China Wok for the first time and enjoyed all the food. Everything tasted great. The only item that needed more flavor was the fried rice. The fried rice was pretty bland tasting. I would suggest adding egg to the rice and some teriyaki for flavor. I would go back and grab a meal again."
"We love China Hut! I prefer to cook at home but sometimes you just need Chinese carry out on a cold winter day. The best crab rangoons ever, the people who work there are so nice, the restaurant is clean and I don't feel like their food is full of preservatives. Food is fresh, prices are good as the portions are huge and it's definitely my favorite. I don't eat sushi but our family members that do think it's very good here"
"This Chinese buffet is our top choice because they expertly prepare small, fresh batches of food. Their Mongolian Grill and made-to-order sushi rolls are top-notch, and they consistently offer high-quality buffet fare."
"I absolutely love this for Chinese food! The prices have gotten a little steep (like everywhere else). If you're feeding a crowd, it's the place to go! The food, ambiance and service is always top notch. It's just a little expensive for 1 person to eat, but the food is always fabulous! The crab Rangoon and honey chicken are my favorite, but I've never had anything bad!"
"Grabbed dinner with the Foodies' club at my school. First, this restaurant and tasty Thai are all in one space now. So if you're looking for it and don't see the sign, that is why. It is small, many people had takeout while we were there. Service was kind. Food was just ok. I had the beef pho. It was a HUGE portion and definitely needed additions before it tasted good. I'd probably skip this the next time I want pho."
"We placed a delivery order this evening through GrubHub. The ordering process was easy, and the menu at Dragon Inn offers a decent variety. However, I would have loved to see some tofu options on the menu. One thing I did appreciate were the portion sizes--they were perfectly suited for one person. So often, Chinese restaurants serve oversized portions, but here it felt just right. We ordered Crab Rangoon, but unfortunately, it seemed to be cream cheese with no other filling, which was a bit disappointing. The Shrimp Lo Mein came with tiny cocktail shrimp, which didn't meet expectations either. Overall, the food was okay, but nothing that would make me rush back in the near future. Sadly, this isn't the Dragon Inn I remember from years ago."
"They are only accepting cash at this time and they will tell you that when you call and order food to-go. Not a big deal. Their food prices are fairly cheap and whatever I can do to lower their (and therefore my) costs I'm fine with. It was quick and efficient. While they have tables to eat in, they always feel a bit sticky. It's been that way for many years now, so we know it's best to take food out."
"Absolutely one of my favorite Chinese restaurants around the Overland Park area. I've only ever had takeout from here due to Covid but everything I've had was top notch. My favorite of Kung Pao Chicken at the moment. I'm a fan of brown sauce and was hooked after the first time going there and trying there trying their Chicken and vegetables (comes with brown sauce instead of white). Depending on the time of day, they have lunch combos and dinner combos too, which means an appetizer or soup is also included in the meal. I can tell they take a lot of pride in the quality of food they provide here.Although, they only do takeout at this time, they still keep the inside of the establishment clean and inviting. There is plexy glass to separate you and the cashier. They provide hand sanitizer and promote social distancing while waiting. I'm happy to support a business that exercises clean and safe practices."
"Everything tasted great. The soup is the best around. It's simple & doesn't include tofu chunks or corn or anything else weird. Beef was sliced thin and was so tender, not chewy at all. Yu Xiang Chicken was cooked perfectly but wish I had known it had water chestnuts, not a fan. Luckily they're the big pieces so it was easy to pick them out."
"I pulled up to drive-thru and an employee came out to take my order. Their speaker isn't working. I pulled up to the window and was greeted by another employee. The food came out very quickly. The chicken has flavor and so does the lo-mein. I'm glad I stopped here because I've been craving Chinese food. Yes, I highly recommend this location for Chinese food. My first review of 2023 and many more to follow!"
"Yo, this is the best Chinese takeout I've had in the whole city, I swear. We ordered a variety of items. Pineapple fried rice, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein, orange chicken, and crab rangoon. All were phenomenal! I'd never had pineapple fried rice, but it was something I'd for sure order again- that salty sweet combo is something to write home about. The chicken they use here is top notch! I've had a lot of questionable chicken at some American Chinese restaurants but this was great, all white meat. The mustard sauce they provide is also homemade! 10/10 will be back. The service is a little cut and dry but the food definitely made me want to come back."
"Tried everything the owner recommended, it was all fantastic. Not only was it delicious but it came out so quick we were in and out in 10 minutes. It's a hole in the wall to check out!!"
"When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a tall man near the front door. There was a worker, mopping the floor, and I could see and smell how clean the place was. I let the greeter know I wanted to place a to-go order and he showed me to a menu and a place to sit down to be comfy while I reviewed my food options. Everyone was super friendly right off the bat. I placed my order and did not have to wait long for my food. The same man who greeted me was the one who gave me my food, and he wished me a fond farewell and told me to stay warm on this cold evening. The service alone is what will bring me back to this place. It smelled so good in the car that I wished I had a fork and someone else was driving so I could start tasting it on the way home. Finally, I was home and able to dish up. My daughter tasted hers first. "So good!', she proclaimed. After my first bite I agreed. Restaurant has plenty of seating in the dining area. If you're in Northtown during lunchtime, you should stop in and try the buffet. I could see that it's a very large buffet and there must be lots of options. They also offer delivery."
"We grabbed takeout here this weekend after reading the great reviews! We had a coupon which brought our grand total to $20 bucks! Orange Chicken with Orange Peel: 3.5/5. This was a flavorful dish and the chicken had a nice crunch to it. However, I wasn't a fan of the actual orange peel so I picked around it! Egg rolls: 2/5. I can't describe why they weren't great, but they tasted different than a normal egg roll. They weren't super fresh and the filling seemed off. We ended up throwing them away. Sweet and sour chicken: my husband had no complaints. Pretty good portion size for what you pay! Every combination comes with rice and an egg roll. Crab Rangoons: 10/5! Saving the best for last. I am definitely the type to judge my entire experience off of the crab Rangoons at a Chinese place. For $5.50 we got 8 and they were big. Not the dorky kinds you get sushi places or even Thai places. These had a nice crunch and tasted fresh. They heated up great in the air fryer as leftovers. Overall, I would come back but I have had better Chinese. I don't think I would dine in as the building smelled like they were having some sewage issues. Great for takeout though!"
"After a long day of driving (10+ hours), Chinese delivery is just what we needed -- let someone else do the driving for us, even though the restaurant was only a few miles from our stopover for the night.Everything we ordered was pretty much what you'd expect from a run-of-mill Chinese restaurant. The steamed dumplings were fine. I did like the dipping sauce--it was tangy and a tad sweeter than what I've had from similar restaurants. It really enhanced the dumplings which otherwise skew to the bland side.Their best item that we ordered was the hot and sour soup. The balance of hot and sweet was perfect. The amount of tofu, egg threads, and vegetables was substantial. The soup and dumplings alone made for a full meal that sated my wife's appetite.I needed a tad more so I also ordered "house special" Lo Mein. The huge portion meant enough leftovers for dinner the next day after another ten hour drive. The Lo Mein proved to be a mixed bag --the sauce was under seasoned (to my taste) and the noodles were overcooked and rather pasty. The shortcomings were offset by a more than ample amount of proteins (beef, chicken, pork and shrimp), all properly stir-fried.Ordering online worked perfectly. Delivered was prompt, and communication by text from confirmation of the order to an alert that the delivery was imminent was excellent. All in all, I can recommend Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant for delivery, but don't expect above average food. Check other reviews to learn about dining in."
