"So I stumbled on this spot after driving to El Pollo Rey and finding it closed. I took a chance on a smaller, little known gem and I'm so glad I did! The chicken is moist, tender, and magnificently seasoned. The skin isn't very crispy because it's more smoked than grilled. But the star of the show? THE RIBS. Dios Mio! Listen, I ate the ribs with no sauce and barely chewed... they were tender, seasoned, caramelized and smoked to perfection. The sauce that comes with is unlike any bbq I've ever tasted. (I actually put it on my chicken, though because the other sauce was a little spicy for me.) The owner welcomed me in on this hot 4th of July--he was warm, friendly and proud of his skills. And sir, you should be! Your ribs are FYAH!Ya'll can bring these ribs to your cookout and people will want to know whose uncle was on the pit... yes, that good. :) You can buy the ribs by the pound and a whole or 1/2 chicken. I'm not really a sides girl, but the rice, beans, sauce and tortillas that come with your meal are tasty, too. I could feel the love in every bite. I live in Lees Summit, but I'll make the drive back there any day!"
"I placed a take out order and it was done pretty close to the time they said it would be. They have just opened in the last week or so, but the lady at the front counter had some trouble getting the sale through and I wasn't sure how much English she understood. The quesabirria and grilled chicken were delicious. The guacamole was good too. The salsa was too hot for my taste, but I'm a weenie."
"Best burger place in town! Their selections are unique and very filling. So so good. Don't overlook this gem! It's worth the stop."
"I was very excited to have some chicken and waffle as I never had any before. I was super please with it! The waffle was light and fluffy and the chicken was perfect, not too crispy but just enough to contrasts the waffle. Service was fast and not too expensive. Probably not the healthiest option so I won't make it a regular stop but still a fun meal."
"Really liked the taste of the tikka masala chicken waffle (don't expect authenticity though, it was sprinkled with jalapenos and shredded parmesan, but still tasted good!)"
"Great place to grab lunch. Prices are so good for the amount of food you get. Portions are large and prices are low.The food is great. I love how fresh and flavorful all the burritos and chicken are. Parking by the truck is easy. Service is quick and friendly. Highly reccomend."
"They have great food and amazing service! The owner's regularly check in on the tables. They have always been great about making sure we have good food and our drinks start full. The outside seating is heated and has games for families to enjoy. I have family that drives an hour and a half both ways just to grab dinner here."
"Small chicken shack in the City Market. The staff is friendly and the food is made fresh to order. The menu features fried chicken, chicken fingers, waffles, fries, etc. The chicken fingers and fries had a great flavor, were juicy, and well seasoned. The value is good for what you get. During the week you can just pull inside and park. On the weekends you'll have to park in an outside lot."
"I've been exploring new places and I just gave this a chance. This is literally by my house and I just now found out about it. I got the regular chicken sandwich to try with no onions and pickles and some fries on the side. It was very good! The chicken was cooked well and the flavor was amazing. We just went thru the DT so we didn't get to check eating at the location but other than that, the service was great and very friendly. Please give this place a chance. Is delicious!"

Had an excellent lunch delivered today from Pollos El Junior. I had the Medio Pollo Ranchero. The chicken was tender and cooked so it falls off the bone. Nice seasoning and served with soft tortillas and beans and rice. I was definitely full after this. If you're craving some chicken this is a great dish. The green sauce was just the right flavor to go with chicken. Delivery via DoorDash was fast and accurate. Give it a try.

I would pass by this location often but never went inside to eat. I'm definitely glad I had the time to stop by and try their food options.I walked inside around 1 AM and I noticed the small area for guests to sit down and eat. There's a decent-sized menu with several different options to choose from, but I decided to order the Queso Fries. The food was absolutely stunning. The fries were crispy, fresh, and delicious and the chicken was crunchy, fresh, juicy, and had great flavor. I was surprised at how great the food was, but I was slightly upset because it smelt like marijuana by the register which impacted my experience here.Overall, I had a good time eating at this establishment. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food. I will definitely be returning here to try more of their food options.

Looking for something different to try? This spot was cute and tiny but it packed a punch. We tried the spicy honey chicken over fries. The entree was huge and offered enough for us to split. The sauce was very good and there were jalapeños on it also, they had a cute side of the place that was setup as an ice cream shop. We were a little to full but we will be back for a waffle ice cream plate.

Authentic real food, I recommend the California burrito, it's huge but all the flavor is there. The avocado green salsa is Amazing service, 2 orders out in 5 minutes and the people are very nice and helpful. Also plenty of parking, best breakfast burrito in town!

Lots of good options including wings, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, good onion rings and some Mexican items on Tuesday. The tv's aren't loud, service is usually good and always pleasant. The new owners have added some daily specials and kept old favorites. Lunch has recently been added. Just a great stop off not far off Highway 400 and on US75.

On our "tour of the Market restaurants", we finally tried out Chicken Please. All I can say is YES PLEASE!We split the six piece nugget with sauce. I had ranch, he of course, went for the Louisiana sauce. Fries - perfectly crunchy with just enough salt. Chicken was quite excellent! Perfectly moist without being greasy. $10 with tip got us in and out... lovely experience. My only criticism would be of the ranch... it did taste a bit generic. Otherwise 100% recommended!

"I'm a little perplexed about the ratings on this place. I'm eating it now for the first time and I'm telling you my taste buds are SINGING. This is flavor. I'm loving the Cajun fries, perfect! The chicken is so crispy on the outside with a delicious rub, and so damn juicy. At first I was like "meh" with the Mac n cheese but then I put some of the house hot sauce in there..that's yummy.Anyway, I'm a new regular customer so hi."
"After living in Miami and Tampa over the last 20 years and eating numerous Cuban sandwiches from places there, I can say without a doubt that the Cuban at Bill's is the BEST I ever had. Seriously......I was not expecting that to happen and will probably get disowned."
"Awesome little country restaurant with great food and great service!!Only open for breakfast and lunch......"
"Pretty unique fast food type concept. Really enjoyed my parmesean garlic chicken sandwich, and my wife liked her queso chicken waffle. Hope they open one closer to KCK!"
"Do you like fried food? I like fried food, so I like Fat Jack's. Tried them via doordash for lunch today. Sampled the jumbo shrimp, the fish, and the chicken wings. Their breading is more flavorful than most, which is welcome since I've eaten from a lot of similar places around town that were lacking for flavor or too dry, which Fat Jack's fried foods are also not too dry. Frying is done correctly and moisture is locked in, especially the wings which, while not the meastiest I've ever had, were moist and delicious. Jumbo shrimp here are very much jumbo, also to an extent you won't find at many similar joints. The fish was seasoned well also and very good. My daughter also got a fish sandwich kids meal which was a good value - the sandwich had some lettuce and cheese on it in addition to the choice of catfish or whiting which will of course be fried. As far as sides go, I tried the mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and the fries that came on the side, and they were all pretty good. The mac and cheese was a bit on the light/watery side compared to what I generally prefer which is thicker. After placing my order, a young lady called me from the restaurant to confirm what type of fish I wanted on my daughter's fish sandwich kids meals. She was very nice, so while I haven't been in here yet in person, I'd say it's fair to say that the service is probably very good just based on interacting with her on the phone."
"How could I eat here and not do a Yelp? I admit, I got it door dashed good from Chick-in-waffle when I'm 5 minutes away. The order was still warm and I enjoyed it. I loved the bubble waffle and wished I had ordered another. It was crispy and delicious. Albeit huge. The chicken was better seasoned than Crane's and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a second piece of chicken, thinking it was a chicken finger. It's not. It's almost an entire meal I do wish I'd gotten a second waffle. I don't trust restaurant maple syrup to be 100%, so I use mine. I ordered a frozen strawberry drink. This might have been ordering it from DoorDash, it was mostly melted. I've ordered slushies from other places, they are frozen. I'm so close to Chick in Waffle and will be ordering or visiting there again (and probably on repeat.)"
"Pretty good! There's only a few Korean fried chicken (KFC) places in the KC metro and bb.q is one of them. I usually go to a different one but decided to go here as I was craving both sushi and KFC.Service was great. It was pretty busy during dinner time but the servers and even owner did a good job checking in and refilling drinks. Ambiance was just what you would expect for a KFC place. It was busting and cozy.As for the good, their fried chicken is great! The chicken is nicely coated with a crispy batter. I used to prefer CM chicken but now I may prefer bb.q more. I usually get the wings and avoid boneless in fear that it may end up dry... but I was completely wrong. The boneless chicken was juicy and tender. They were decently large in size and the coating (Cheesling) was unexpectedly good. That may be my favorite kind now. Also note that bb.q shares the space with Prime Sushi, so this is a great spot if you have more than one craving. Would recommend!"
"Creative and good flavors. It won't replace your craving for a burger but it does get that good flat top caramelization. The waffle on the side was a little dry, even with the (fun!) beef bacon :)The guy at the window didn't seem all that happy to see us, but gave us good expectations on wait time. (About 10 min cause he's gonna make it fresh!)"
"Food is amaazing! Always get extra lemon pepper seasoning. The wings fries and chicken sandwich are all pretty good. I've picked up myself and had Uber eats deliver. Good both times. The people there can be short with you sometimes but the food makes up for it."
"10 stars! Best Indian food and customer service we've ever had! Food was bursting with flavor. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it was truly a special event!!"
"I was kid free for the night and wanted something delicious and easy. Gus's had been in town for a little bit and so I decided to try it. I am not usually one who wants spicy chicken and had been told it was really hot. The night I went they had a special of two thighs, two legs, bread, coleslaw and beans. For 50 cents more I switched the beans to the potato salad the waitress recommended. The iced tea here is brewed which is always a win for me. For dessert I took home the sweet potato pie!Chicken was hot and super fresh. It was spicy but not kick you in the face, just I am gonna give you the sniffles for an hour. Lol. It was so juicy and tender and crunch on the outside was top notch. The potato salad had just a slight sweet kick but I liked it because it didn't have a bunch of crud in it. No chucks of celery or onion. The coleslaw was light and refreshing. It was a cream sauce but it was not under or over sauced. It was delicious and I am super picky about coleslaw. I ate the sweet potato pie at home. It was good but a little to sweet for me. Which is ok cause sweet souther pies are supposed to be that way. The texture was spot on and I would recommend it to others. I would not take my parents here and it's to spicy for them, but I will be back."
"We had wanted to try this place for a while but it never worked out. They are only open Friday-Sunday. The stars aligned and Sunday was the day we got to try it. The chicken was great! Seriously, it was so good! The sides were fine but the chicken was the star. (I had to order the side of spaghetti because I can't recall ever seeing it as a side at a chicken joint.) Everyone was very nice too!"
"Boy, is this place busy! Big groups come in, sit down. We came specifically for the fried chicken. The waitress took awhile to get to us. We order the 1/2 chicken with green beans, butterfly coated breast with green beans and a side order of hand breaded onion wings. She asked if we would like rolls with that. Yes. We waited 45 minutes for our order. They were short handed, as it appeared someone quit mid rush. Our waitress began running register for a bit. When our order arrived, my husband received the wrong order. The waitress went back to reorder. She came back with the onion rings, no rolls. We ate. After our meal, the waitress appeared with the correct chicken. We got a go box with chicken and rolls. The place was still packed and all 3 dining areas were opened at this time. The chicken was basic, nothing to write home about. Someone didn't add seasoning, as the coating was bland. The breast hubby ate was overcooked. The onion rings were outstanding. The green beans had been cooked with bacon, so they were flavorful. A one and done for us. On to the next chicken house."
