"Our original plan was to visit during happy hour on Monday, but it was fully booked when we arrived! We ended up coming back for dinner with a reservation. All the flavors were great! Lots of combinations I wouldn't have thought of, but were delicious. Didn't have time for lots of drinks, so will be back soon. Monday they also have pizza night and half price bottles of wine. Nice ambiance. Would come back again!"
"Always enjoy visiting the cafe. The service is always great and the food always hits the spot. Really good happy hour, too!"

"Really nice little diner . I like that they make their own bread , they offer gluten free pancakes . The service was good . They use farm fresh eggs . You can tell by the color of the yolk they use good ingredients here . Thank you"
"This needs to be your go to brunch spot. Tasty food, speedy service. Love the big community table in the middle."
"Sooo yummy. One of my favorite brunch spots!! The food is always good and the mimosas never disappoint!"
"I usually go to the one in the Crossroads, but I've been to this one on Westport Road the last three times. The employees are always so friendly, and I really enjoy sitting out on the back porch just relaxing with my coffee. I'm going to try to go back every week to do this until the weather changes.I love the spicy Mayan mocha."
"Breakfast sandwich is so good. Friendly, open and airy atmosphere! I need 85 characters so I'm writing a little more."
"Outstanding!!!Counter service and booth seating. Feels like you took a DeLorean back to the 50s. Omelettes are all egg (no filler) with perfectly grilled veggies etc. Come early on weekends if you don't want to join the masses waiting for their turn."
"First Watch is a very consistent restaurant. I love the fact that you can check-in online, it makes getting a table when you walk in easier. Of course the food and drinks are the star of the show. I love the lavender lemonade and I see it has made its way into the menu permanently and I will probably be a fan forever! Lavender is known for its ability to calm the nervous system, lift the mood and even lower blood pressure. No other place is doing this!!!My go-to meal is the chickichanga that comes with potatoes and seasonal fruit, it's only right to get a side of butter grits on the side so I can add some sugar to have them sweet. My partners go to meal is the salmon frittata that comes with a lemon dressed mixed green salad, but got it as an omelette instead. Although, today I think I became a fan of something I MUST try during the fall. The Ham & Gruyère melt which can come with a salad or soup, but I will most likely need to pair it with the tomato basil! I love coming here and have brought everyone from my daughter to my best friends because it's truly perfect for any occasion when you want something fresh and filling!"
"I was recently in Lawrence to visit my son who attends KU. I've been craving bakery quality dishes and live in a very small town that just doesn't have any good options. This place BLEW ME AWAY. I tried the lemon custard croissants, cherry danishes, and salted chocolate chip cookies. Everything was so buttery, flaky, salty, sweet!! The perfect mix. Their delicate laminated pastries are as good as anything I've ever tried and even as good as the little shop in Paris that has been the object of my affections since I visited many, many years ago. There's really no seating, it's a tiny space with some chair rails so don't go expecting a sit down experience. But do go expecting to taste the best pastries you've ever had! (Oh small side note, bathroom was pristine and so nice!) Apple Maps doesn't take you to the right location but google maps does."
"First time for me At Flapjacks. Had eggs, flapjacks and bacon. Service was pleasant, Manuel has been there for a while all the locals like him because he courteous and attentive. Coffee was a little weak but they had plenty to go around. My wife had a veggie omelette, she said the veggies were bland and not cooked through. Overall it was a nice meal with great service. The place is nice and neat, nice signs around to inspire."
"I occasionally go to the roasterie café to buy my coffee beans. I love the wide selection of beans that they have, ranging from light brew to dark brew. I personally prefer the medium brew whole beans, which are unflavored, and they have two great options. When I have visited the café before to have their coffee drinks, they were quite decent as well; however, I prefer to buy the beans lately. The café is situated in the high-end Leawood area and is a perfect spot to have besides amazing shopping stores like yeti, Apple , Fabletics , Lululemon etc. so that one could just sip their coffee and carry on with their shopping. Overall the cafe has a calm ambiance, the food and coffee beans are priced well, and the baristas are really helpful. You won't regret your visit here!"

Westport Cafe is a gem in Wesport and in Kansas City in general. Owned by three French guys, they have captured the French bistro atmosphere and food down to the smallest details.I've been to Westport Cafe for brunch and dinner a few times now and I'm always impressed by the quality of the food. Tuesday is steak night where you get steak with béarnaise sauce for $20 with bottomless fries aka frites. Basically steak frites and honestly it is as simple as that. They execute it immaculately and they are one of the only places I know that do steak frites in the city. Their brunch menu is also fantastic and those lemon ricotta pancakes are a star on it. Service has always been friendly and accommodating whenever I've gone. Plus they do cool collaborations with other restaurants and change their menu to highlight new cuisines and dishes. A top tier restaurant for sure in the metro. Happy eating and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

Great little breakfast café! Another reviewer referred to it as an upscale Panera, which fits- it's got Roasterie café, yummy looking pastries, and delicious food- we both had the breakfast burrito and it was FABULOUS (the sausage chunks are plentiful & juicy!). Service was great. Atmosphere is peaceful with nice piano music. They are also *mostly* low waste for dining in- ceramic dishes and tea pot, glass water glasses. They did make my partner's iced coffee in a plastic cup (unnecessary since we were dining in), and the to-go cup for his second coffee was styrofoam. I'd love to see them make a switch to plastic-free/styrofoam-free alternatives. Otherwise... Great little gem of a place (just bring your own cup!).

E was a fantastic server, they were so friendly and made great recommendations! I loved my vanilla cold brew, and that there were several iced coffee options- that's rare at most breakfast spots! Their mimosa and cocktail menu also was huge and looked delicious- all were available non-alcoholic as well they offer gluten and vegan menus from the beginning which is extra customer friendly!3 of the 4 of us ordered the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and were highly impressed- love that they come with eggs your way and a breakfast meat for the price! Biscuit beignets were a nice appetizer- 4 for a party of 4 is the perfect treat. We will definitely be back.

The best coffee, ambiance, service, and mission around! The few times we've gone, we have gotten coffee flights. They have mocha flights, latte flights, and seasonal flights. This allows you to sample 4 coffees at once, which I love. The seating area is small and can get crowded. There's a few 2 top tables, bar seating, and a center community table. The service is always superb and the coffee is delicious.

I met up with a buddy to study at Heirloom Bakery & Hearth one weekend morning. It was busy but thankfully he had arrived early and was able to snag us a seat inside. On a good weather day, it would be a miracle to snag a patio seat though. Anyway, I woke up hungry that day so I tried their egg & cheese biscuit sandwich and a cold brew. It was heavenly. Now that I'm writing about it, I'm craving another one of those biscuits! A local breakfast must-have! Parking lot is small, you might have to street park!

"Hubby and I stopped in on the way to the airport. Found this place on my trusty Yelp app. We generally like to try Mom and Pop locations for breakfast as we have usually found they provide the best be breakfast. Well Banjos Cafe is another hot spot to add to our list. When you pull up to this lil place it is off the beaten road. But don't let the location fool you. They are serving up some good breakfast food. I had the veggie omelette with hash browns and pancakes, hubby had the Corny with grits and pancakes. We both enjoyed our breakfast. Omelette well made and full of veggies, hash browns cooked just right and not over cooked or burnt, hubby said his grits had a really good taste to them. Definitely will add this place to my collections."
"Old-school diner at its bestMelissa couldn't of been sweeter and more helpful Visiting Wichita and plan on going back for breakfast in the morning"
"Food was pretty good! Nice spot near my house. I got the chilaquiles. It was I took pictures of their current menu since there isn't any on yelp. I forgot to take pictures of my food :( it looked to good to wait. Lol"
"This black owned coffee shop is in the heart of the city in a gentrifying neighborhood. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Even though it says coffee shop it's way more offering food items, smoothies, cold beverages and homemade teas. It's a place that makes you want to linger- play board games, read a book, watch tv or grab a window seat and people watch. I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was delicious. My sister is not a coffee drinker and she had an in-house made chai. She loved it. In the back is an event space that is affordably priced by the hour. It even has a garage door that opens into a green space. It's a neighborhood gem that is worth trying. I'll be back for lunch."
"Was in Kansas City for a conference and came to PT's Coffee for a quick, small breakfast! Got the S'Mores Latte (Mocha with Toasted Marshmallow Syrup) and the Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. Both items were tasty & classic. Lots of space and seating. Super close & convenient location to the Kansas City Convention Center. Service was fast- huge kudos to the person who was working there because there was only one person handling the morning rush of conference goers and she did great! 7/10 would recommend!"
"Such a great little gem. I have eaten here 3 times and each time has been such a wonderful experience. The medallions at dinner are the most tender meat ever and the desserts are amazing. For lunch I had a sweet potato bun mini sliders and didn't know the flavors would have me craving for another visit. This is a great date spot and the servers are great. I enjoyed the throwback Gatsby decor, actually googling the name it is the Belle Epoque Era."
"We stopped by Gigi's for a quick bite. Our refrigerator out of commission so I was super hungry for a fresh salad my husband wanted a vegan burger. Since it was our first time there, the wait stuff happily explained their menu. My husband is a picky eater and was thrilled with food and especially his vegan burger Can't wait to go back!"
"This last weekend, I opened my storefront here in Leavenworth and had Sis Sweets cater in large cookie sheets for people who were stopping by and wanted to talk and visit. I could not be happier with the quality of product delivered, the wide selection options that Sis Sweets provided, and the taste of the product. Almost everyone knew -exactly- where I had picked the cookies up from and respected the good taste I put into finding a local Leavenworth product I knew would go over well. What really works? These cookies have the right amount of sweet without being so over the top that the sugar overpowers the taste of the product itself. That is a challenge of a lot of store-bought cookies, where they certainly are full of sugar, but not necessarily full of actual taste. Want to try out something special? Go here, have a cookie or two.. your stomach may love you.WARNING: If you are on a diet, let's say Keto, this may convince you that your pure joy and life experience may be worth more than the pounds you might lose. Just saying."
"Breakfast, The Most Important Meal of the Day!I do not know how I missed Rosie's Cafe during their over 20 year history. It is right across the parking lot from what had once been one of my favorite BBQs, and right down Highway 40 from one of my top three Italian restaurants. I know I have been past it over a thousand times! On the recommendation of an old friend, I stopped in for breakfast (it is one of the "breakfast" places that have now become all the rage), and was immediately impressed. While the parking lot appeared full, along with the parking spots along the street, I still found a handy spot. Noticing that almost every table was filled, a server was on the spot to point out a couple of empty ones. Slipping into a well worn but very comfortable booth, another server with a coffee pot in hand asked if I cared for coffee. Yes, I said, and a cup appeared in his other hand and was served quickly. That was when I realized that Rosie's has a very loyal customer base. A friendly server showed up and asked if I needed a menu. As I said "yes" she informed me on the special of the day: "2 bone-in pork chops, eggs, and hash browns for $9.75. Pork chops so tender you can cut them with a fork!" Hmmm, replying that I did not believe I was that hungry, she said, "We've got to go boxes." My fate sealed, chops were my destiny. Within minutes my order was delivered with a statement that mine was the last one left, eyeing the clock I saw that it was only 8:15 am - guess this was a popular option. She was right! I am not sure why a knife was served along with my order, I do not think I have ever had pork chops that tender! Their flavor was great and everything else was prepared perfectly. Presentation exceeded the "local diner feel" of the place and was equal to anywhere in town.Looking around at the other customers I could tell from all the smiles that my impressions were not unique. Rosie's has the "vibe" and product that all the recent additions to the "breakfast restaurants" in town strive to achieve, but seldom do. It is truly the "needle in the haystack" of that niche in the market. I did not have the stomach capacity to try their "famous" pecan waffles, but that leaves yet another reason to return. If you have missed Rosie's in the past, you do owe it to yourself to slip by for an honest-to-goodness breakfast. I know that I plan to be back."
"What a cute little gem hidden in up and coming St. Joe. The neighborhood has seen better days, but recently has seen a boost in new shops and restaurants with a hipster feel. The cafe is reminiscent of small neighborhood coffee shops, mixed with Italia touches. Tables are scattered throughout, with a hidden nook for private conversations. Their menu is diversified, but still offers the standard cafe offerings. The chicken salad was sampled on this trip , and had an herby edge to it. The broccoli soup is slightly watery, but great flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and welcomed long conversations. A major plus? The space can be rented by the hour. They also allow outside food/drink. Unheard of , but greatly appreciated. We used it for them for an event today, and were so overwhelmed by the owners/staff. Very accommodating and easy to work with. Great space, and easily customized for your event. Thanks to the Pronto cafe staff- you made our day easier!"
"We were not expecting this to be soooo good and we were shook! My partner and I were traveling through from Portland (you know how portlanders are about coffee), and decided to pre-order from Cellar Door for breakfast. I ordered a Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich in a Za'atar bagel along with a rose cardamom latte. My partner got a bagel, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a dill bagel along with a toasted honey latte. Everything was so good and was ready when we got there (in a good way). The lattes were balanced and the flavors came through without overpowering the coffee and the bagel flavors were so interesting! I've never considered living in Kansas, but this breakfast made me rethink my life briefly. I didn't go in, but my partner also said it was super cute and everyone was friendly!"
"We were visiting Kansas City and looked to Yelp for a brunch recommendation near our hotel. Newzroom Cafe was closest, so off we went. The interior is wonderfully restored, including beautiful ceiling tiles. Everyone working there was so friendly! The food was awesome!! Hubby had eggs and pancakes and he loved those, but my daily special of country ham and eggs was amazing! No seriously, this was better than any breakfast I had while living in the south!!! Ham was tasty perfection and the eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. The highlight of my visit was the chef coming out of the kitchen to get a drink, but stopping by to make sure we were enjoying our food. What a sweetheart!Every aspect of this restaurant was top notch!"
"This place is the best breakfast in town and the staff is amazing. It's also great for just a cup of coffee or even a late night date spot."
"My first visit to Windmill today was a stop on The Caffeine Crawl. The Turner neighborhood of south central KCK is a bit out of the way and unless you are visiting the high school or Christie's for a tenderloin you probably won't be driving past The Windmil. After my visit today, I would recommend getting off the main roads and make a pitstop. The hospitality and genuine friendliness comes through as soon as you walk in. The vibe is like walking into a small town cafe on the Texas prairie where everyone is only removed by 2 degrees of separation. The namesake Windmill is the focal point of the cafe and is a 4th generation relic saved from a family farm near FT. Worth. The mother and daughter owners will tell you the story and make you feel like family. My hot and cold samples of the signature drink - The Golden Bear was delicious. Made with espresso, cinnamon, vanilla and honey. Seasonally appropriate but available and drinkable year round. The white chocolate strawberry frappe was just as heavenly. Great vibe, great people, great drinks - made with Messenger Coffee, make this an easy 5 star destination. So fun to find little jewels like this where you would least expect them to be."
"This place is amazing. Everything is good. So many choices!! Hands down best breakfast in the area."
"Pretty good place to eat. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, what more can you ask for. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for!! I had breakfast today and was so excited for it, that I forgot to take photos of itI did take a pic of the roll tho. This was my first time here and I can guarantee I'll definitely be back!"
"Precision recently had a change of ownership. It moved to the LifeWalk (Church) building! The previous owners had made such a great space in the original location, and I am happy to say that the new location is just as amazing. It is a chill space, with lots of room! The seating is spread out to allow for business meetings, interviews or family touch bases. Precision has always had good coffee and incredible baked goods. The new owners have all of your old favorites on the menu, but they have added some new exciting food options! I went on Friday and Saturday, and I was so impressed with the space, the service and especially the food! The new charcuterie boards are unbelievable! They have a meat and cheese option, and a fruit and dessert option. They also make these boards to go! I truly do not think there is a better lunch in Nevada. I can't wait to try their breakfast sandwiches for their lunch salads. The new owners were able to retain several of the employees who worked at the previous location, so service is already pretty darn good. Be patient, though, because there are a lot of people who are just learning, but I have no doubt they will come up to speed quickly. Thanks to the new owners for saving our beloved coffee shop. :)"
"Four stars since their milk teas tasted more sweet than actual tea to me. But then again, I also tend to like my drinks a bit stronger in tea flavor. Their fruit teas though are delicious! Definitely recommend the strawberry sangria!Love the little snacks, plushies, and charms they sell inside. It makes waiting for the drink more fun!"
"Spending way too much time on the road, its always good to find a small, uncrowded, unassuming eatery like the Redbird Diner. I found this place completely by accident, while looking for breakfast that would not disappoint me.It doesn't get any more low-key and unpretentious than this place, yet the food is comfortably good, service is very good and the patrons, mostly locals, were friendly. This place is definitely a roadside hidden treasure!!"
"Delicious food for a great value. Staff was amazing, our waitress was in her 2nd day and if we asked something she didn't know she would go find the answer. Family friendly environment, many locals which we loved. Plan to return!"
"Cute hole in the wall I found while looking for a place to grab coffee and work on the laptop. I was a bit hesitant upon arrival since it's located in an industrial area. The cafe's located inside Brazil Academy, a gym for jiu jitsu, etc. I was greeted by the lady who makes all the food and desserts and she is so nice!! You can definitely feel the pride she has in all the food she offers. I ended up getting some espresso and a shepherds pie with chicken and she even threw in a cheese ball for me! I'll definitely be back on a Saturday to try the main course!"
"This is the best home-style cooking I have ever had. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. The sausage is amazing. Make sure to ask for the locally made Granny's Mustard. The pie served here is all homemade and beyond belief. I am going to post the menu board in the photo section. The menu is simple but believe me, it is worth traveling across the country to eat here. Can you believe fresh lemonade for $0.75 - I almost fell out of my chair. My favorite pie is a tie between the Sour Cream Raisin and Coconut Cream. Also, when my cousin informed the waitress that she didn't want the salad bar included with the daily special, they offered to take it off the price. My cousin had the Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy. About 12 hours later she was in the emergency room with severe pain and a gall bladder that has to come out. Believe it or not, she is looking forward to having her gall bladder removed so she can return for more of this food!"
"First time here. Wait staff is friendly. Easy to find. Come back. If you need breakfast, this is not it."
