Phil C. "I came upon this place from researching the area prior to my trip. Although I don't really watch morning shows, my interest was piqued when I noticed Sommerset won "Best Pie in America" on Good Morning America. Even Diane Sawyer wanted a pie here for her yacht on Christmas. Getting here from Topeka was somewhat uneventful. You drive through cow pastures and fields. There isn't very much around on the way here. However, I did see various animals (dead or alive) on the road, such as deer, a large rodent-like creature, and a snake. The immediate vicinity reveals that there's not much going on here, save for this institution. The coconut cream pie was what put this spot on the map. I wish I had room for other ones that I might've been interested in, such as the apple crumb pie. However, the coconut cream pie isn't all hype. The crust, while not quite as flavorful as fully buttered crusts, was quite flaky. The two layers of the pie were fantastic. The custard underneath had the right amount of sweetness and it was smooth throughout. The meringue was frothy and smooth. There was enough toasted coconut on top. Service was friendly and cordial. If you find yourself in Topeka, Sommerset is worth a side-trip."

Amanda O. "Stopped in here for breakfast, and were very happy! Excellent service. One gal was waiting tables for the whole restaurant and was friendly & prompt still. Food came out quickly, and everything was great! I had a pancake (huge!) and split a mess with my husband. He also got an order of French toast that was scrumptious. Dad got the chicken fried steak meal with taters & gravy, and mom had the pork tenderloin. Everything was awesome! Prices on the menu include tax too, which was nice. The bar wasn't open when we were there, but I hear they've got great drink specials. Will check it out next time we're in town!"

There seems to be nothing out here off of 70, but then you pull off and there is this bright, clean, welcoming coffee joint with yummy sandwiches. The people were friendly, food was good, and did I mention it was clean? We both ordered the sunrise breakfast sandwiches (YUM). My husband got a drip coffee and I got a monthly special -- the mudhopper (dirty matcha, oat milk, with a simple syrup) -- it slapped. Would recommend to anyone looking to stop for coffee!"

The cafe's located inside Brazil Academy, a gym for jiu jitsu, etc. I was greeted by the lady who makes all the food and desserts and she is so nice!! You can definitely feel the pride she has in all the food she offers. I ended up getting some espresso and a shepherds pie with chicken and she even threw in a cheese ball for me! Mindy P. "TLDR, go for happy hour, sit on the patio, ask for Richard. The details, this place is well known for decorating for the holidays. I had to check out the Halloween decor, random hands, creepy dolls, and a giant spider and it's web weave is way through the dining room. Even outside of the holidays, the Happy Hour is Fantastic, we did 4 small plates, a few drinks and dessert. The fried salmon bites, delivered just enough salmon flavor and a sweet teriyaki, the steak fries, perfect sized for dinner for one or to share, the Mac Daddy was my favorite, KCs top rated Mac and cheese did not disappoint. The piece de resistance was Richard, he took an already fun evening to the next level."

Kristen M. "Precision recently had a change of ownership. It moved to the LifeWalk (Church) building! The previous owners had made such a great space in the original location, and I am happy to say that the new location is just as amazing. It is a chill space, with lots of room! The seating is spread out to allow for business meetings, interviews or family touch bases. Precision has always had good coffee and incredible baked goods. The new owners have all of your old favorites on the menu, but they have added some new exciting food options! I went on Friday and Saturday, and I was so impressed with the space, the service and especially the food! The new charcuterie boards are unbelievable! They have a meat and cheese option, and a fruit and dessert option. They also make these boards to go! I truly do not think there is a better lunch in Nevada. I can't wait to try their breakfast sandwiches for their lunch salads. The new owners were able to retain several of the employees who worked at the previous location, so service is already pretty darn good. Be patient, though, because there are a lot of people who are just learning, but I have no doubt they will come up to speed quickly. Thanks to the new owners for saving our beloved coffee shop. :)"

We love raving about authentic cuisine, and this spot has our full seal of approval. As we walked in, we were greeted by beautiful wall art that showcased the restaurant's dream - an instant connection. Once seated, we received warm and attentive service from Nathalia. Choosing from the menu was a challenge, as we wanted to sample a variety of the authentic offerings. We settled on Pupusas de Chicharrón con Queso, Lindo Amanecer, and Garnachas de Asada, accompanied by Limonada Natural and soft drinks. While we waited, we were served Tostadas Guatemaltecas instead of the usual chips and salsa - a delightful touch of true authenticity. When the main dishes arrived, they were beautifully presented and absolutely bursting with fresh, flavorful goodness. With each bite, my husband remarked on the similarity to the tastes of his childhood. The restaurant has ample seating and a bright, lively atmosphere. As we finished our meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with one of the owners and his wife. They shared the story behind the restaurant and the fulfillment of their family's dream. We were kindly invited to join them on weekends, when live performances, talent shows, and dancing elevate the experience to new heights and a taste of sabor Centro Americano! We encourage you to explore their diverse menu and try other dishes, as several also feature a blend of American and Mexican flavors."

We opted for Native American and went with bison and elk with traditional sides of butter beans, Indian bread, sweet potatoes and apple sauce to die for. I personally prefer the medium brew whole beans, which are unflavored, and they have two great options. When I have visited the café before to have their coffee drinks, they were quite decent as well; however, I prefer to buy the beans lately. The café is situated in the high-end Leawood area and is a perfect spot to have besides amazing shopping stores like yeti, Apple , Fabletics , Lululemon etc. so that one could just sip their coffee and carry on with their shopping.
