"Came here as a "surprise" after trying to find anywhere where I'm staying that had to do with pinball. Up-Down is a Gen X wet dream as we all grew up as young teens in the 80s right at the start of the arcade of awesomeness with games like Pac-Man , Donkey Kong, Centipede, Q-Bert, Burgertime, and so many others. The ones I just mentioned are here! And they work! The facility is dimly lit and has all our great music blasting. Full bar, and pizza on order. Daily specials. The games are all a quarter, but on Thursdays you can get 20 for $2 at the bar, so only $.10 a game which is a great deal. They also have skee-ball, basketball shooters, and did I mention at least 10 pinball machines? In-Out was so much f-ing fun for a good couple of hours. My mixed drink sucked, but the beer was good. Saw enough staff cleaning the machines and running the show. My brother and I also got carded even though I could have been the guy's dad. I believe it's adults only here. When we finally left, the place was starting to get full and you could tell that the groups were really having a good time.Highly recommended."
"Got there was pretty busy, but was seated as soon as we walked through the door. Our waiter was cool and professional. I had the Philadelphia freedom, which is a chicken cheesesteak, topped with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. It was pretty, but a little too cheesy for me, only cause me and diary ain't the best of friends . Fries were good as well. Decent spot, will go back again."

"I always get the Hawg Trough sampler and two sides to share. It gives you a sampler of pork, ham, brisket, ribs, turkey and sausage plus a side. I add one extra side and it's plenty for two people. Good smoked meat flavors. Beans are tasty . Everything is well flavored. Service is quick. I love the rustic look of the restaurant."
"You can't go wrong with BBQ in KC. The food was good and this was the perfect spot downtown we could walk to. The only problem we had was when we walked in the entire place smelled like sewage. It was very off putting and I'm not sure if it was an off day but it smelt bad. We sat on the opposite side of the restaurant as the smell which seemed to help. My friend I went with is also gluten sensitive and they didn't have enough options for her. Overall, service was fine and I'd like to give it another shot to see if the smell is what was so off putting to me."
"Absolutely AMAZING dine-in experience! We enjoyed the burnt ends, pulled pork, brisket, and a half rack of ribs. The sides are also fantastic: potato salad, fries, Mac n cheese, and coleslaw. Definitely try all of the sauces, too! Thank you to our server Kendra for a great dinner and attentive service. We can't wait to come back!"
"We celebrated the Lunar New Year at Fortune Wok in OP by ordering one of everything (almost )It was ALL was delicious, but the GF Lemon Chicken was soooo also really enjoyed the hot and sour soup - it was different than most places but in a GOOD way Excellent service as well. It was definitely worth the drive from NKC."
"Loved, loved, loved how festive they have made there establishment. Even the restrooms were decked out with lights and a tree. So fun! Another on point detail was their seasonal menu. Every item on the menu was a holiday movie themed name, which made browsing the menu so fun and nostalgic and made you smile. Plenty of options from apps, pizza, burgers, salads, pasta and more. Loved the fun seasonal cocktails as well! I ordered Buddy's Berry Mojito Mocktail. Got my entree I ordered the Halloween town birria pork sandwich. Yum! If you want a fun festive spot with yummy food and great seasonal vibes, check them out!"
"Let me tell you about Wally's Grill and Drafthouse in Lee's Summit. This place has been a favorite of ours since it opened its doors. You walk in and immediately feel like you're part of the family. The owner, Chris, a longtime Lee's Summit resident, practically grew up in the restaurant biz. With his wife Tammy, they've created a warm and welcoming spot where you'll often see them mingling with guests. Now onto the food. They offer a variety of mouthwatering dishes, from veggie flatbreads to steak. But let's talk burgers - they're legendary. You can build your own masterpiece, and trust me, adding their bacon-onion jam is a game-changer. And their Sunday brunch? Don't even get me started. It's a feast fit for royalty. My family adores this place. Whether it's a special occasion or just a casual dinner, Wally's is our go-to spot. My kids have celebrated birthdays and homecomings here, and it's become a tradition. One son swears by the half so cheezy and cup of chicken soup, while the rest of us can't get enough of the cluckers and fries (seriously, their ranch is divine). And my husband? He's all about the ale-roasted chicken. And here's the best part - despite the amazing menu, the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine. No messy kitchens here, just delicious food served with a smile. So if you're ever in Lee's Summit, do yourself a favor and stop by Wally's. You won't regret it."
"The Brickhouse: I ordered this since it's named after the restaurant and must be a staple. I can confirm this was a tasty and perfectly combined dish. The biscuit, chicken and sunny side egg were a great choice for an early morning brunch. The peach mimosa was super refreshing as well."

The ambiance in this place is awesome. It's all 80's and 90's. Video games. Arcade games. Not a great place for large tables to gather unless you go sit on the rooftop. The rooftop is very cool. I spent the majority of my time there. Prices seemed high for me, but probably right on for Kansas City. (I'm from Sioux City.) A bartender downstairs made me a kick-ass mocktail. It was delicious. I also had 2 slices of pizza and both were amazing. I'd love to return to this place someday!

We had a large party come in late on a Saturday. They got us right in. Our server Baylee knew how to navigate a multifamily party! She should be teaching the world of servers how to! The drinks were strong and tasty. The food was fast and good.

Visiting KC and wanted to try some BBQ! Very cool place, huge mural outside on the wall! We were greeted with a friendly lady saying to come on up and check out the on screen menu. Placed our order and it was brought to our table, very quickly. The people were awesome that worked there. A variety of sauces at the table. And of course the roll of paper towels on the table. One thing I need to say, is they offered Wet Naps.. Every BBQ restaurant should have these available! The pulled pork loaded fries were good, different take on em and nice & saucy. The smoked turkey made me smile, great taste and tender. I love brisket, but this tasted more like roast beef, not bad, just not what I was expecting. Love the smaller spots for a true view of the local scene.

This is not the original gas station OK Joe's but is a good location and close replicate. Had the ribs and brisket sandwich. Food arrived quickly and was good, but nothing to celebrate. Food was Luke warm and lacked some of the flavor expected from OK Joe's. I did like the location, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The ambiance is great and the service is good. This is definitely a great ambience for watching games. It's very clean, especially for a BBQ place. In comparison to some of the other BBQ heavy hitters in KC the food is definitely a little over priced for the amount, but such are the times we are in. What felt weird was the sides. If you don't want slaw, beans, or jalapeños then be prepared for up charges ranging $1-$4 on things like fries or Mac. Oh and don't ask for honey mustard for fries, they don't have it. My 2 meat combo came with only 3 pieces of burnt ends which was definitely a let down but at least the pulled pork was a good sized portion. I would definitely recommend the pulled pork over the burnt ends.

I visited for the first time on St. Patrick's Day as I was looking for a place to have corned beef and cabbage traditionally, but also enjoy some nice quality time with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I was delighted when I walked in and was instantly greeted by two people at the hostess stand. They flashed me huge smiles, and we're so grateful I was there. I couldn't have asked for a better greeting than that, especially for my first time in. I was seated in a booth toward the back of the restaurant, which worked out, and was away from the live music so we could talk.Taylan was my server and she showed me some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. I want to thank her for a wonderful day. I have gluten dietary restrictions. She went to check the label to make sure that Ginger beer was something that I could enjoy safely without me even asking her to do so. She also helped with the food, recommending the spicy hot chicken bites without the breading. They were delicious! I did have the corn beef and cabbage with potatoes meal as a St. Patrick's Day special. It did not disappoint! The corned beef was cooked perfectly. It was juicy. The potatoes were nice. The cabbage was great and the presentation was pretty as well. I had a wonderful time at Barley's and cannot wait to return. I am grateful for a restaurant like this and a server who is willing to help with dietary modifications. They do also have live music that was very enjoyable to listen to while we were there. Go check them out! They have ample seating and a great menu!

"We were in town for a hockey tournament and our team manager gathered all the players and parents for an after game late lunch at Barley's.. It was literally walking distance from the hotel that we were staying so it's very easy to access. We entered the place and we were immediately directed to a large area. The ambiance inside is really nice, the feel of real sports bar can easily be distinguished. The server was very knowledgeable and catered to all our needs, apparently they are very well versed with a hockey team coming in for a big group dining. our server was very nice and very organized, he is the only one who handled everybody's order. We were 30 at a minimum so that was very impressive. Our order came in and it was served still hot, which is nice. The cheese curds with the dip is so god. I can't remember the last time I've had a fried cheese curds but these were really good. I asked for a list of their draft beers and the server said there are over 90, but suggested Yuengling.. so I got one and it's still very cold when served, felt like the glass was in a freezer.I ordered just the spicy chicken wrap and it's ok, nothing too special about it.. I like wraps because it's easy and clean to eat, nothing dripping like sandwiches or burgers. My wife ordered the Cuban sandwich and she liked the taste and the serving was really big, she can't finish all of 'em. My youngest ordered the alfredo pasta, and he liked it.. but was too sleepy to finish so we boxed it and ate it at dinner. The stay was nice overall and it was an easy 20% tip for our server for doing such a good job of keeping up with all of us who dined in."
"Such an incredibly wonderful experience here! Family owned and operated since 1934! Shayla was amazing, so knowledgeable and welcoming. My grandfather used to bring my Dad and my Uncle here when they were young, so it was such a wonderful surprise to be able to grab a sandwich here to take home to my dad for father's day."
"We are new to the neighborhood and wanted to give this place a try. It is our closest pizza place. I will probably update this review in the future after we've had a chance to try their pizza. We had a wonderful server named Josh, who took very good care of us. My wife and I shared a Birria sandwich. It was kind of like a Mexican French dip. We very much enjoyed it! It was a wee bit salty, but that's OK.We also ordered the tater tots fried in chili oil. I thought they were delicious but they were pretty spicy. They were too spicy for my wife. So next time she wants to try the plain ones.We most certainly will be back to try more things on the menu."
"We have eaten there twice in the last 2 months after traveling to Topeka. Both times it was great food service and ambiance. Very fun atmosphere. Seafood soup and carne asada and chile rellenos were great!"
"I absolutely love it here! The food is amazing, food is always fresh and delicious, if you like, or love Japanese food, you can't go wrong here! The servers are very polite very pleasant always willing to go over and beyond to make their customers happy. I love the atmosphere whether I am indoors or outdoors. They always have music playing. It's not overwhelming. It's very calming and soothing."
"I LOVE Apogee. West Olathe was in desperate need of a place like this - we could use 3 more things like it. Apogee is the only coffee place in the area with what I consider "good vibes." I love the staff - especially Mallory, who is a ray of sunshine. Lots of friendly clientele, too. It is fun that it is connected to the rock climbing gym, so there are a lot of families, young people, etc. in and out all day. Apogee is more than coffee - it actually is a full restaurant, coffee shop, and full bar.I go to Apogee almost weekly during my work day to work for a couple of hours. It is the perfect working atmosphere if you like a little ambient noise in a comfortable environment. I always feel welcome here. The food is good - although it is a small menu. It's basically pizza and a few sandwiches. I do wish they had a bit more. My go to is the lunch special, which is a small personal pizza and side salad. If I'm there in the morning, I get their breakfast burrito, which is also very good.My one piece of constructive feedback - I think it'd be worth putting a menu board up above the bar. People hate QR code menus, and it is confusing to newcomers to not see a menu. Plus, it'd be cute!Definitely give Apogee a try. I waited longer than I otherwise would've because I thought it was going to be like a climbing gym snack bar, but it is much more than that. They sometimes do events and activities as well, such as trivia night. So glad to have Apogee here in Olathe"
"Girls & I came here spontaneously. I mean..spontaneously. We were suppose to have a grill night at our friends. Instead we huddled there and left our husband w/ the kids and dipped out. LOL.We loved every bit of station 7. The service was amazing. Bartenders were friendly. Live music. Us moms needed to dance the night away! Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to order food, but we reckon we'd be back for brunch, soon!"
"Love this place, had my 50 th birthday here. Great food , cold beer and plenty of TV's for sports events!! Not to hard to find in the north land, actually one of the better reasons to visit the north land!!!"
"This is a friendly bar with a great, inviting feel. On any given day, you will find a cadre of regulars, and as with most neighborhood bars, a few characters.Lots of TVs to watch a plethora of sporting events. The food is great, and they offer at least one food special every day.The Burgers are outstanding, as is the Cobb Salad. Everything that I have ever tried was really good to great. A notch or two above normal 'bar food'.Happy hour is from 3 to 6 weekdays and is usually pretty busy, so arrive early if you want a seat at the bar. They offer some fun twists on trivia nights, and occasionally there will be a live performer or DJ.They offer a limited menu for late night food after the full kitchen closes. If you're in the area, give this place a try, and you will definitely want to return."
"We stopped in for a quick bite. We ordered the queso and chips. The queso came out in a huge bowl with plenty of chips. My fiancé ordered the western burger that came with two patties and bacon with an order of fries included. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and a side salad. The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing! Our waitress was speedy and very polite even with a full house."
"We went here for a midday break on an extremely hot day. It was nice and refreshing inside. They have a nice alcohol selection so my boyfriend and I both got a beer before beginning our round of mini golf. There were a couple of groups ahead of us, so we let them start first. It really wasn't too crowded or inconvenient. It is a cute little course of 10 holes, the decor is very well done. It costs $10 per person for the first game, and $5 for every game after that."
"I ate here for dinner about 3 weeks ago. I ordered pick up so I wont speak on the venue or service since it was pretty "in and out" more or less. The food however was pretty darn good! I got the double order of steak and chicken fajitas. You get a tray of re-fried beans, spicy rice, sour cream and guacamole salad (2 in the double order) You get 2 bags of in house cooked tortilla chips, you get 2 rolls of 4 corn or flour tortillas (i got corn). You then get the main dish. 2 trays of chicken and steak cut into small strips with a good coating of Mexican spices and a light picante' sauce of some kind, nice kick to it. This also has a nice dose of peppers, onions mixed in with the meat mind you. Their salsa is traditional to which rocks! Leaves you close to a glass of water, put it that way.I made 2 more lunches with this in the days after what I had for dinner that night. $23 for the double order. Not a bad deal in my opinion. A legit Mexican restaurant in my opinion and I grade pretty hard on ethnic cuisine to so it takes some authenticity to get me to approve of what your serving me."
"Incredible Cuban sandwich and fries! You can't go wrong with that classic, but anything on the menu is great. Don't forget to get a coffee, too! I always get Cuban food whenever I go to Florida (I know - not the same as Cuba, but Cuban food there is great!), and the Cuban sandwiches here are easily some of the best - if not the best - Cuban sandwiches I've ever had."
"Good food and service! The burger fries, and onion rings was good! The workers kept our glasses full and checked on our needs!"
