"We were looking for a new breakfast place in Kansas City close to the Country Club Plaza area, and we decided to give "Snooze" a try. Certainly glad we did.Snooze has a bright artsy interior with individual tables and booths throughout. They've got a lovely bar from which they offer a host of breakfast drinks: Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, etc.... I was planning to try the Chilaquiles, but they were 86 for the day. I pivoted to my go-to breakfast at any new restaurant, corned beef hash, and eggs. Theirs was among the best I've ever had, and I've eaten hash and eggs all over the country. House-made corned beef, great seasoning with the potatoes, onions and peppers. I complemented it with a little Yellow Bird, a Serrano pepper, hot sauce, and it was absolutely perfect. My wife went with the Strawberry Shortcake Pancake with chicken sausage, and she said it was fantastic. Our server was courteous, very knowledgeable, and absolutely on point. In our short stay, my coffee was refilled three times, he checked up on our order, and really made sure we had a good experience. I can highly recommend Snooze for a just out of downtown KC breakfast/brunch stop!"
"Mess with the wine, and highly recommend doing a tasting if it is your first experience here. They have amazing happy hours with a seasonal rotating menu. I was able to try a sangria flight and flatbread on happy hour which did not disappointThe risotto entrée I received was actually not great and the staff was kind enough to take it back for an equally mediocre plate. I have had the salads here and they are amazing, but both of the entrées I experienced my past visit lead me to believe I am not willing to pay $40 for a plate here again. Stick with the wine and appetizers and you will have an amazing experience (or maybe just an entrée that was different than the pasta or risotto!)"

"Neil was our amazing server. He was great! Very attentive and kind. I had a couple of draft beers and my wife had a cider and couple of cocktails. The special on Sunday is fried chicken. I had that. It was amazing!! I got it Nashville hot. Absolutely delicious!!My wife had the chicken salad with the hot sauce on the side. We adore this place. It's our new hang."
"Me: Hey we're heading to A lil' BBQ Joint for dinner. Want to meet us?My friend: Sure, what's the name of the place?Me: A LIL' BBQ JOINT! A Little BBQ Joint displays decor that sets a down home tone for a barbecue outing. Don't come here looking for too many frills. The table tops were unique. Not something I had ever seen before, at least at our table. It was sort of a large shadow box with cars, sort of old school. The service was nice. Our servers were attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our order to be taken. While the food looked appetizing, flavors disappoint, save for standout fries. Overall, a mixed bag - with potential for improvement."
"Food was better than expected! & so many options! New fave spot. Ambiance was cool and server was attentive"
"I think this is a cool spot. I was passing thru and wanted a Topeka specific vibe/ tradition place and wasn't disappointed. The beer I had was fantastic. Exactly as the wait staff presented it. Wish I had gotten a growler but I was flying home in a few days so it wasn't plausible. The food was great. I had the steakhouse burger which is a mix of the trimmings on their steaks. Im not a burger guy. But I read the description and had to try it. It was really awesome. Grilled sour dough bread. The pickle with it was great. So great. Wish I had one right now. Definitely give it a try if just visiting."
"No frills breakfast, brunch, lunch spot. Got brunch here prior to going back home to St. Louis. No issues, no complaints. Really good food, good service. Excellent amount of vegetarian/ vegan options. We got there just in time to be seated immediately on a Sunday around 10:30am. Highly recommend!"
"Nick and Jake's, I would like to send you a love letter...so, I will review instead. We are chronic DoorDash patrons, you are always hot, prepared well, large portioned, delicious comfort food.If I may suggest one tiny thing....please change up the menu, even one item, along with dessert. We have grown bored eating the exact same meals/desserts since Covid."
"Second time eating here, both times have been so happy with our visits. I need to add this restaurant to our rotation on a more regular basis. Legit burger options! Love that they offer to sub a plant based option for my vegetarian kid. The fish and chips were tasty. Which is hard to find here in the Midwest. Staff is attentive and pleasant. Restaurant is clean and well kept."
"The evening that we dined at WFM, was the night before the "big game". The had a $3.00 mini burger special and were extremely busy. Our appetizer came out hot and was delicious but our burgers and fries were cold, especially the fries. The fries also tasted terrible and lacked flavor. Despite the crowd, the beverage table service was friendly and efficient. Although this visit wasn't a touchdown, we will try it again perhaps on a less crowded time and/or a night when they have live music."
"We had fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Some of the best fried chicken I've had in KC. The meat was tender and juicy and the crust had just the right crunch and seasoning. We stopped in for lunch on Christmas Eve and were seated immediately. Great service and good food. The manager visited all the tables to check on everyone's meal and was friendly and personable. The ambiance was perfect for a Plaza restaurant, upscale but not fancy. Casual attire."
"My favorite hole in the wall breakfast spot in KC!Their breakfast croissant is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The croissant is the perfect combo of flaky and buttery, the eggs are well-seasoned, and the ham is juicy. I crave it on the daily! They also have delicious fresh pastries that sell out almost every day. I always snag one from the display case, especially a muffin. Another side I recommend is the breakfast potatoes. Great portion, good flavor, and served with sour cream. As a self-proclaimed French toast connoisseur, their French toast is tasty! It's a French toast bake, so it has a different consistency than your classic French toast. I personally don't prefer French toast casseroles, but this one was spongy, has good flavor, and the pecans are a great addition. The service is always friendly, albeit a little slow. You order at the counter and while there usually isn't a long line, there is only 1 register so if you come at a busy time, you may wait a while. I can't wait to come back and try the breakfast flatbread and a cinnamon roll!"

Our first time here as out of towners. Reservations were super easy. When we arrived the wait was minimal. We'll definitely have to wine taste the next time we're in town.We were seated in a quieter area overlooking the square. The rest of the restaurant was much louder. Our server seemed very busy with the full restaurant, but was very lovely. My mahi sandwich was delish. Fish was cooked well and the bun was nice and fluffy. Our several brought us delicious warm bread while we waited for our order. No one left hungry. Great experience!

Third Street social is a locally owned business and I give it a bonus bump for that reason alone. I really enjoy supporting and engaging with locally run businesses. I also find locally run restaurants provide a unique atmosphere and menu that it's a change from the national run restaurants. that is certainly the case with third Street social. The older historic building that the restaurants located in creates a great atmosphere and ambience from the moment you walk in it's a fun and lively vibe. You are always greeted with a smile and a person that makes you feel welcome. Whether you sit in the restaurant or sit in a bar your guaranteed fantastic service meeting here and eating as a couple and the bar is great but so is bringing a business client to the other for lunch or dinner. Props go to the ownership for pulling off such a great mix.

I have been here a few times and always had a good time. The food is good and the service is good. Usually they have sports on the TVs and if you would like a different game they will change it for you.

we stopped by Eggtc. for kc restaurant week and will definitely be back! the vibes weren't like your standard hipster brunch place- it was much cozier than that. we both got specialty coffees (a honey creme latte and a mexican spiced mocha) which were both amazing. the coffees were definitely on the sweeter side, but not overwhelming, i found both to be perfect. everything came out very quickly. our pastries were warm and tasted very fresh. the caesar salad and cubano didn't stand out, but i recommend the shakshuka. the real cherry on top was our server kim, she handled our whole section with warmth and ease. she was fun to interact with, quick to answer our questions. highly recommend stopping by!

The waitresses were all very kind. My husband was over the moon about the beers then had. Great variety. We came on a Friday and their prime rib and bison burger was out of stock so we split a burger. We came a second time and my husband got a steak and I got the tiger Que plate. Some of the meats were dried out however the homemade bbq sauce was delicious.

I was a regular customer at Cafe Berlin when I lived in Columbia and was excited to visit on a trip back - I loved it then and it's even better now! We stopped by for an early brunch and were seated quickly in their large dining space. The veggie scramble and breakfast burrito were both fantastic and the roasted potato side was a standout. The breakfast burrito had both regular and sweet potatoes - a delightful surprise! Definitely put this on your Columbia MO list!!

"Lovely spot for a first date Reservations required on a Friday night for sure. When a place is packed you know it's good. Vibe was open concept, lovely bar and outdoor space with fire pit. Valet parking available. Food was delicious. I had the salmon salad and a mocktail. My date had salmon as well."
"The food it Great and the Service and the Ambiance is really great as well. They sit you down at a seat like in like two seconds and you walk in you tell him how many people you have and they just give you your menu you look at it you just get it and then what you don't need is what you don't eat and then you could take it home if you are not finished with the food that you ate they're at BC Bistro and then you could probably get dessert. I don't know if they have, sir, but all I know that this place has gotten good reviews sometimes bad reviews I don't know but I would recommend everybody to try this place out. It's got really good food. It's got really good service. They say you gonna see and you just wait for your food. I don't think it takes a long time, but I did have to wait a long time but they bring you out your food. Your drinks that you want and then after you get after you want to get your train with your food or whatever you gotta get there and then after you get done eating, you can just do whatever you need to do and go back home chill and then if you get hungry later, you can eat your food that's what this place is all about you take your food to go and then you go home then if you want your food later, you can have your food later you know whatever you want to do With your Food That you ate before you got finished eating there Thanks that's all I have to say about this place :)"
"After a few times visiting the bar, I finally dined here with co-workers. My Grilled cheese with brisket was exquisite. Grilled perfectly on buttery bread with lots of cheese and savory meat in-between. My colleagues chicken fried chicken, burger and reuben all looked great and were given 2 thumbs up from all. A top notch classy joint for the northland, service has always been great."
"Sooo yummy. One of my favorite brunch spots!! The food is always good and the mimosas never disappoint!"
"Awesome atmosphere! Warm environment. It would make a great location for a 1st date, friends lunch--as in ..you can have a conversation across the table & still hear what is being said. Food was incredible! Everything was extremely fresh and high quality! Found this place on Yelp- & took the family before our 3hr BrkThrough excursion. Thank you to all those that contribute on YELP!!... I have not have a bad experience anywhere with 4+ stars. Awesome method for choosing WHERE to eat! Especially when in unfamiliar cities Highly recommend!"
"I've eaten at this location a few times. The aesthetic is fun with pops of color. I appreciate the coat hangers and vibe of the restaurant. I give 3 stars for 3 reasons:- There is no seating for waiting customers which is very unfair for elderly, pregnant, and disabled persons. Sometimes wait times are long if you haven't put yourself in the online waitlist. Be sure to check that before going in. - I ordered the new, recommended, Jalapeño & Cheddar omelette 3 days ago and my stomach has not recovered in the last 3 days. I'm Thai & Cambodian, I eat my fair share of spice. My stomach does not react to jalapeños and it has been awful. Nothing on the taste but more on the preparation. I'm curious on how an omelette, I didn't finish, would make me call out of work 5 hours early and keep me on a toilet for 3 days. - finally the service... maybe she was having a bad day, I get it, I work customer service in a deli. A smile is good for both sides, I'm not asking for ultra-passionate waiters or over enthusiastic people. I only mark this because of the contrasting warmth towards other families and a strange coldness to mine. She carried herself as someone who didn't want to be there and I understand, still, it's uncomfortable as a customer. I can manage a waiter with a sub-par attitude but only if it's fairly distributed, otherwise, I just feel unwelcome. No allergies, no special requests, easy orders, no screaming babies... even if she gave one smile after we ordered I would have felt less like an offender. Otherwise, I could have just made the omelette at home lol.No complaints from the rest of my party, things came out in time (I would of liked an update on my food when my family got their pancakes first and she didn't tell me if mine was on the way or even acknowledge me). Overall, it's a cute place and I would try this place again just off of the aesthetics and good prices. I'd probably order something completely different, put myself on the waitlist 15 minutes early, and hope for better customer service experience. Let's try again!"
"We stopped by this location on the Plaza because I had some Landry rewards points I needed to use before I lost them. Oh boy! We were in for a treat! Arianna was our delightful server and she was so kind and helpful! The restaurant is gorgeous and well appointed. They have a wonderful way about them here. Arianna knew her way around the wine list. We started with the suggested pour which was a delightful Sav Blanc from Justin on the Central Coast (NV). It was glorious!! I can see why they are highlighting it. I'll be buying a case. I had some lovely oysters and the shrimp cocktail to start. My wife had the clam chowder which is her favorite on Earth and I also love. The complimentary sourdough bread was amazingly delicious! For mains I had the sirloin, which was better than the Golden Ox version I had a few nights ago. By far. My wife had pan seared sea scallops with sherry cream sauce and risotto with peas and micro greens. It was all outstanding. We moved to the area from Vegas 15 months ago and both agreed this is the best meal out we've had so far in KC. Delicious!! McCormick & Schmick's and the vivacious Arianna delivered!"
"I had one of the lunch specials. Soup and salad. You can choose what type of soup (whatever they have that day) and choose a wedge or house salad. I love French onion soup and wedge salad. They were both very very good! More than enough for me. I also had a glass of Pinot noir. Very enjoyable ambience. Great service."
"Food is always good here. I got buffalo Mac and cheese and some apps during happy hour. Lots of whiskeys and can beers to try. I had my 1st London mule. It has a different vibe than a lot of restaurants, relaxing and old school. Service was prompt but I went on a slow Tuesday night."
"I love the food and the vibe! It's one of my favorite places in the metro area to meet friends or go by myself. This place has an amazing beer selection, and again the food is delicious! I usually get a huge slice of pizza or one of their sandwiches. The wings are good, too."
"You can't go wrong with BBQ in KC. The food was good and this was the perfect spot downtown we could walk to. The only problem we had was when we walked in the entire place smelled like sewage. It was very off putting and I'm not sure if it was an off day but it smelt bad. We sat on the opposite side of the restaurant as the smell which seemed to help. My friend I went with is also gluten sensitive and they didn't have enough options for her. Overall, service was fine and I'd like to give it another shot to see if the smell is what was so off putting to me."
"The Homesteader had been on my list for a LONG time, so when my family asked me to find a restaurant for brunch after the zoo run that could accomodate a big crowd and take a reservation this place was on my radar. I was really impressed because they could actually accommodate us. I needed to make a reservation for a Saturday morning for 10 and after some research I quickly found that most places either don't take weekend brunch reservations or don't take them online for more than 8. Honestly I get why and it's fair, but it limited us on where to go. I was insanely grateful that the Homesteader made this easy peasy for us to book. The run was on a stormy Saturday and as we all finished the race we realized the rain (and thunder, and lighting) was right on our heels! This changed our plans a bit as we had planned to hang out at the zoo for a bit longer and let the kiddos run around. Instead, we ran to our cars to avoid the thunderstorm! So, what did this do to our brunch plans? It made us about 30 minutes early. We decided to go and try our luck anyways. My parents made it there first and the Homesteader was super kind and had our table ready so we were able to sit down and eat a bit earlier than expected. Now to the restaurant (I know, you've waited long enough!). I would describe this place as a hyper local, cozy, breakfast and brunch cafe. It feels warm, welcoming, and like it's been around for a while when you come inside. The folks working were honestly some of the best I've ever encountered. SO friendly, so happy to answer questions, and so kind to my kid. Honestly, they really made our visit a great one. We all tried different things on the menu and everything from the cinnamon roll to the benedict was really good! There were some unique items on the menu, and even the coffee came out tasty, which was amazing when you've waited until 10 am for your first cup of the day. Overall I'd come back for sure. The food is very good, it might not be the absolute best in the city, but they make up for it with charm, some of the best staff in town, and a cozy neighborhood ambiance."
"I think the strengths of this operation are the staff and the ambiance. That said, my wife and I both had good family style tasty food in a generous proportions. The decor is plain with the exception of the wall decorations. Like wall paper, there are frame pictures of many veterans (I can only assume locals) which is very patriotic and inspiring as well as many authentic newspaper front pages from important eras in American history (a nice touch). Lastly, the staff, even though quite busy, was attentive, cordial and efficient. You could tell they enjoyed what they did and that they like each other as they were always helping out one another.Oh, and don't forget the awesome iced cinnamon roll hot from the oven for every table, delicious!"
"Our waitress Christine was phenomenal! She took care of our group of 20 no problem, as well as looking after 4 other tables. She stayed on top of refills, great service and food!"
"My husbands work often went here for lunch, so knew we needed to give it a try! It's all you can imagine a typical American sports bar would be! Decent food, good drink menu, and sports paraphernalia all on the walls."
"Nice lunch spot for wife's siblings as one lives close. Salads are first rate, fresh hand made to order and fabulous. I had the marvelous brussel sprouts, tasty and plenty. The Blt was just ok, hard bread plus nobody's fault not the right season for good tomato, could have more Mayo. Yet the bacon was all right."
"Here's the thing... when Jerry's is good, it is awesome. Breakfast, lunch -- both can be great .The consistency is the problem. If you order within an hour, hour and a half before they close? Good luck. Portions? Who knows. Sandwich grilling, fries completely cooked, cheese melted on your omelet -- it's a roll of the dice. So, we do love this place - sometimes."
"Return trip to Broadway Brewery for dinner was a resounding success. For someone who was at Flat Branch on their opening day in 1994, I am a proud fan of both CoMo brewpubs! My table loved our fried cheese curds, porter dip, steak, Summer Cut Berry Berliner and Thresher Porter."
"Went in with a friend for a late dinner. We were seated promptly. The music was a bit loud for us, but it was probably the normal volume for your typical sports bar. My friend ordered a sandwich, and I ordered the chicken and waffles. I think the food was 3-4 stars-- nothing amazing, but also something I'd potentially come back for if they were consistent with their food. I was really impressed with their staff and manager though. Super professional and kind, and they were on point with how attentive they were."
"Decided on this place after watching TikTok to get ideas of places to eat in Topeka. The place was super cute. We went upstairs to eat and had great service. It tried the mojito which was really good. We had Mac and cheese bites for our appetizer and the elote burger. Food was very good and would return if back in Topeka."
"Let me tell you about Wally's Grill and Drafthouse in Lee's Summit. This place has been a favorite of ours since it opened its doors. You walk in and immediately feel like you're part of the family. The owner, Chris, a longtime Lee's Summit resident, practically grew up in the restaurant biz. With his wife Tammy, they've created a warm and welcoming spot where you'll often see them mingling with guests. Now onto the food. They offer a variety of mouthwatering dishes, from veggie flatbreads to steak. But let's talk burgers - they're legendary. You can build your own masterpiece, and trust me, adding their bacon-onion jam is a game-changer. And their Sunday brunch? Don't even get me started. It's a feast fit for royalty. My family adores this place. Whether it's a special occasion or just a casual dinner, Wally's is our go-to spot. My kids have celebrated birthdays and homecomings here, and it's become a tradition. One son swears by the half so cheezy and cup of chicken soup, while the rest of us can't get enough of the cluckers and fries (seriously, their ranch is divine). And my husband? He's all about the ale-roasted chicken. And here's the best part - despite the amazing menu, the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine. No messy kitchens here, just delicious food served with a smile. So if you're ever in Lee's Summit, do yourself a favor and stop by Wally's. You won't regret it."
"Strouds never disappoints! We had a wonderful meal here. I used to eat at Strouds all the time in Wichita, but my wife had never been before. She was a huge fan of their chicken, green beans, and most definitely the cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Great deal. She had the one piece chicken dinner with a breast and could barely finish it.I had the two piece chicken dinner with a breast and a thigh, and ordered it spicy, which was amazing! We both enjoyed the potatoes and especially the gravy. They bring a nice portion of each to the table. Our server was Nancy and she was incredible! I would highly recommend that you ask for her when you visit this location because she will take excellent care of you. She had several tables including one with 10 people and we've never felt under served. She was very attentive and took great care of us.The restaurant is pretty cool inside as it is a little bit dated. It feels rustic and quaint, although it is very large. It was spotless. They take great care of this place, they obviously care about their people and the food quality is top shelf. Will be back many times I'm sure."
"We had a great time here we got a nice muffin got some coffee. It was around Halloween. They had our Halloween decorations up, which we thought was awesome. Because Halloween is our favorite holiday and it was great to see. Prices were good. Food was good."
