Burger Shed - Olathe

cheddar burger soup was god awful. Tots were good. My drink was $17. come on folks that is insane for lobby bar in Olathe!!! I like the vibe but never going back

The food and service here are always great. I honestly think the burgers get better every time I visit. The mushroom Swiss is my go to. It's meaty, juicy, and well seasoned. The fries are great, but the fried cheese curds are an even better side. We usually see that basket get eaten before anything else on the table. Great food, great service! Thank you!

The food was pretty good. Pretty standard offerings but really good quality ingredients. The fries were stellar though. They were seasoned and I could eat them all day. I wasn't that impressed with the cheesesteak egg rolls but I think maybe I'm not the target audience. I love cheesesteak, that's why we ordered it but the friend wrappers felt really greasy and the meat just needed bread. I didn't care with the sauces on the side either. I think a cheese wiz like sauce would have been fun.The staff and the look of the restaurant were fantastic. I thought everyone we interacted with was super friendly and seemed to love their job. I love that. I hope they only get nice customers.A thing to note is it's inside a hotel/convention center so it feels kinda weird going in. Go in through the hotel entrance :)

Best burger and fries I've had, maybe ever! This isn't normally a place I'd go to since it's inside the Embassy Suites hotel but I'm sure glad I went! I've already been back another time and that won't be the last!

Oh wow... this will be a hell of a review.Food - Ten stars out of five! You will be amazed by the deliciousness that can be in the burgers here. The kitchen is simply amazing! I can't say enough about the great burgers with all the toppings. I can't say I have ever had some of those combinations or would have thought of them by myself but they are fantastic! Also... Boozy shakes!Service - Oh wow... so we were sat in the section of a wait person that had just left for the day. When they finally got us someone else... it was very apparent that she didn't even want to be there. Our third server was super distracted and got our order wrong. They also had apparently NO capability to bring things like condiments or silverware. They did however get us the burgers appropriately. It was a this point that I deemed it necessary to send the Bartender off to get me the manager (who hadn't made an appearance) the whole time. They were of course shocked and dismayed by the service that we had received so far and decided to make up for it by giving us free desserts.This would have been a fantastic solution if they had also then talked with the wait staff... so no the sides were still wrong and not getting fixed... and there weren't any condiments to eat the fries/tots with anyway. And they did eventually come around to see which desserts we wanted. Of course we were charged for them and had to flag the manager down AGAIN just to get that fixed.Ambiance - well this is pretty awesome for a venue in a hotel. It looks and mostly feels like a restaurant.If you are in need for a good burger... and get the right server... this place is likely going to be amazing for you. If not... well... write your review so everyone knows which days are good to go.

We were seated by a confused host and waited 15 minutes before finally moving to the bar. I hate it when this happens but my beer glasstasted unclean and musty. Didn't complain but I ordered a bottle for the next round. The food was fine. It was nothing special at all and sadly we will probably not be back.

I'm not the biggest fan of restaurants in hotels, I normally feel like they arnt meant for the community but Burger shed is one of 3 hotel restaurants that I like. I go out to lunch with a friend once in a while and she said their burgers were amazing. Burger shed felt like it was part of the hotel but also separate. Burgers here are freshly made and in my opinion the best burgers. Not greasy and full of flavor. One of those that you don't need A1 steak seasoning to give it any kind of flavor. Their sides / appetizers are a never fail (especially the tator tots).The service has been friendly and the food is always cooked to order, I've never had to send an item back, not even something I took home to eat.. The ambiance is intimate and a little dark, but perfect for this setting.

I only had an apple pie shake and not a full meal. The ice cream was good but the pie chunks tasted waxy.I was disappointed by the waste factor- my shake arrived in a styrofoam cup (why? We were dining in, a bar glass would have been great), and that drinks are served with plastic straws, including water, without being asked first. They do have a paper straw option for the shakes so why not just ask the customer if they want paper before automatically bringing the single-use plastic?Our server was the best part, she was great.Maybe the burgers are good, I'm not sure.

Really solid burgers and fries. Kids really enjoyed it as well which is always a plus. Plenty of TVs on and restaurant was very nice and clean. Only had a bartender workings for the bar and main room, but never waited on anything'. Definitely will come back sometime, hopefully soon!!

We went for dinner on a Saturday night. We walked to the host stand and were greeted with 'what can I do for you?' By an annoyed looking host. Dinner?! He said okay and asked how many people. There were only two of us. He asked if we wanted a high top or low top. Low top, he stated, 'I'll see if any of those are available' when 3/4 is the restaurant, probably more, was empty. Weird flex, but okay. We were seated and the server was immediately there and asked us for our drink order. The person I was with was prepared and ordered his beer. I was unsure and took a quick glance at the drink menu. No more than 30 seconds later, the server made it awkward and said she would just get us some waters. While I appreciate her promptness, her patience could have been a little longer. There were no other tables around. I did order a drink at that time, which was okay, but if I had like 15 seconds more to look at the drink menu, I would have ordered something else. We got our drinks. She dropped them off and walked away. Didn't even ask if we were ready to order food. We were. Waited another ten minutes to order. There was a table seated after us, that had a different server, that had already received their apps. Was a little jelly, cause hungry. She did come back and we ordered an app and burgers. The wings were good, but we didn't receive any ranch or bleu cheese to dip it in. We did have to ask for that. We also didn't have any app plates or extra napkins. I believe the manager gave us those and had the server bring the dipping sauces back. Appreciate that! The burgers. Well, they were okay. It was a sensory overload with so many tastes trying to cover up for the bland, Costco patty. Brioche bun, they are delicious, but also cheating. Tater tots...probs frozen from a bag, pretty sure the mac & cheese was made from a box. I was asked if I wanted another drink...I didn't , but my friend, his beer was empty. She didn't even look or ask. He tried to ask while she was there, but our server had already turned around left the table. He did get another beer, about 10 minutes later. During that time, it was noticed that half of our glasses were plastic and the other half was an actual glass. This came with a good laugh. I didn't know we needed differentiated glass for different beverage types. Needless to say, the food was okay, the service left much to be desired and probably won't visit again cause it was not worth the $80 that was paid for the meal.
