Burger Bar & Dari Maid

This place has history. My parents met on this property in the mid 60's. If you want a good burger and a milkshake look no further. Service is good, and the atmosphere is exactly what a diner should be. You should go.

A great place for amazing ice cream treats and cones as tall as your head! We had the most delicious ice cream and shakes. The service is wonderful and very helpful. They have a lot of food options as well.

We decided to detour to Marceline on our way home from KC. Luckily we happened onto Burger Bar around lunch time. It is basically a new place, the old stand sits off to the side. The interior is pretty nice for a roadside burger place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We just got cheeseburgers and sides. I was surprised how flavorful just basic cheeseburgers were. I had corn nuggets which were cooked through without being overdone (apparently a hard thing to do) and my wife had onion rings which were crisp and not greasy. My only regret is that we didn't have room for ice cream. It looked like every one else there did.

A wonderful place to go for a great malt or shake plus enjoy a pork tenderloin sandwich (pickle and mustard is the bomb) with fried mushrooms and then grab another ice cream treat if is really warm. After all, no need to risk heat exhaustion!!

My grandmother lived near Carrollton and as a child nearly each visit we made a trip to the Burger Bar, so this place holds many memories for me. The food was so good then and continues to be amazing now. I'm not sure what kind of magic spell they use to make the beef burgers taste so delicious, but I really need to learn it. The bubba beef burgers are HUGE, so I stick to the regular beef burger and it's more than enough (for me). As in tradition, I ordered a chocolate chip milkshake and it's heaven in a cup. If you're in the area, stop by - you won't be disappointed.

Always a good meal and ice cream. Even when the city has a boil order, they bring in bagged ice and the water bottles are free. The Cherry Mash is so very divine.

Tried for the second time in the last week to go here. Last week we knew we were going to be pushing it close to their listed 8 pm closing time so called to order ahead and was told they wouldn't serve food after 8, but if we were there by 8 they would.Tonight we rushed over and walked in at 7:54 pm. By the time the 1 person was done ordering in front of us it was 7:57. The young lady politely told me the didn't serve food after 8. I noted the time and was then told "the kitchen actually closes as 7:55." Got the kids some ice cream to tide them over. I know that it stinks to have customers come in right before closing, but it also stinks to see the kitchen still making and serving food with other customers in the dining room and being sent packing.So be aware closing at 8 may vary a bit depending on when the staff starts cleaning the kitchen.

Ice cream is really good! Nice place to sit and visit. I usually get very good service. Offers drive thru convenience!
