Burg & Barrel - Leawood

I've eaten The Burg since early 75th street days. They don't always execute well in Leawood, so I took a long break, but pleased to report the burger was very good tonight! I hope they can stay consistent so that I will eat there more often again. Fries were low end average, and price a hair high, or would have given 5 stars.

We have visited this spot multiple times, and continue to be perplexed on the amount of positive reviews. The burgers were cold and dry, and the fries and onion rings congealed in grease.

Off the beaten path, great whiskey, and beers selection food was excellent. Onion rings were average though as you can see from the picture the chicken fried steak was incredible not just large but good tasting. I'm sorry but over three dollars for a soft drink is insane. Pretty dead during lunchtime service was average to good, but it wasn't very busy. It was very low-key and relaxing.

This place has become a local favorite! Staff is always friendly, food is delicious, and love the rotating taps! The classic burger is the best and the Cajun seasoning in the fries is delicious! Give this place a try!

Disappointing. After have one of the best burgers ever at the Lenexa location, this was less than satisfactory. Onion rings were tough (what?)--because the green layer was left on the onion, then breaded and fried that way. Really awful. Whoever does the prep work here is not up to the task. Server was equally disappointing. Clueless and uninterested. Not recommended

We both had Big Pig sandwiches. The portion of fries was nice and the sandwich was large. Sadly, we didn't find the sandwiches to be all that great. Mine seemed to be less flavorful than the other, but both were just huge cakes of fried batter on a tough slice of pork loin. The batter didn't have much seasoning in it. It just tasted like fried flour. The mustard sauce couldn't stand up to all that breading.I've had a lot of tendloin sandwiches in my lifetime, but this is not one I'll go back for.The prices were good. The service was good. Food was a little slow coming out, for it being not busy but maybe what we ordered is something they don't keep prepped.We will go back, just will order differently.They had a good variety of seating options and a nice patio. It's a nice location for sure.

Server was great. I love the big menu with all the options. Only negative is every time I go in there, it smells like sewer.

Lovely outdoor seating fantastically situated on the East side of building, so completely shaded in the afternoon. Juicy burgers with beautiful onion rings. Extensive on tap menu which changes constantly and a good selection of bottles. Menu had a lot of burgers and a variety of other options from salads to wraps. Looking forward to coming back to try a different beer and another item on the menu.

Big open restaurant/bar, but easy to listen and have a conversation.Was greated at the door, said hello and sat at the bar. The bartender Kristin was very inviting, polite and knew all the specials and how to review the selection of beers they pour/serve - amazing service for sitting at the bar And eating.Food was awsome, and I am only writing this after two visits- one of, if not the best, steak salad in town paired with in-house Chipotle Ranch dressing. The El Diablo burger is also amazing if you like spicy.I've had two very good experiences at Burg&Barrel and will definitely go back.

Ok had another restaurant total mess up our plans for bday party. Yeah we know it was during afc championship game and 25 people but... This awesome group of people (Especially SCOTT! Did I mention SCOTT?) took the last minute reservation and scored a plethora of touchdowns. From drinks, food to service (I might have forgotten to mention Scott) TY you made the night epic. Need a place, go visit this one!
