Wow! I have been following this place on yelp for over a year and finally got here tonight. We were blown away by the food!We got The Vinnie Italian sandwich, and it was unbelievably good! The bread was perfectly toasted, it was served warm and contained a very good amount of high-quality meat and the perfect amount of dressing and vegetables. This may be the best sandwich I've had in town.Then we also shared a slice of The Stockyard pizza. Absolutely amazing! The sausage is perfectly flavored and the ground beef is not greasy and delicious. The pepperoni is cupping, but not crispy burnt which is how I like it.We can't wait to come back here and work our way through the menu Buffalo State Pizza is a gift to our community.

So I still like the pizza joint! Even more since they have Ms PAC-Man However...1- Almost forgot my sausage on my slice of pepperoni/ sausage. Can't recall the gents name but he grabbed me as I was handed my boxes and tossed some on my slice.2- On my Slice Green Queen not all the veggies was cooked.. the broccoli and green peppers. I did appreciate the prompt service by Andrew and complimentary drink while I waited for my online carry out order. I also tried their Buffalo Bill Chicken Dip which had their nice size, delicious breadsticks. The dip was not too spicy with chunks of peppers in it.

We actually went here just to here Nicki White perform. (You should check her out if you get a chance)We were hungry so pizza is always a draw for us. This was a great stop and for pizza enthusiasts like us, was great from the bottom up! Crust was crispy, sauce distribution was just right and the toppings were fresh.Their drink menu is diverse and great beer selection.We'll be back with friends even if Nicki isn't performing.

Loved this place for dinner! I had the calzone with pepperoni and Canadian bacon and it was so delicious. One of be best calzones I've had. Also tried the cheese sticks and they were very good. Their portions were also very large so good to share if you want to try multiple items. I also felt like they were not expensive at all. About $9 for the calzone and $0.95 per ingredient and like $8 for the cheese sticks even though everything was large portions. I liked the marinara sauce they give as well. The staff was so awesome and friendly and they I went they had live music. Plenty of seating too and I did not have to wait super long to order or get my food to go. They may get busy though so who knows! I highly enjoyed this meal and would definitely try it again if I come back to Kansas City. It was one of the best meals I had in my trip and the best value for sure. Wish I had more time to get some more! Awesome spot!

Great pizza, crafted to order with an owner that's involved with the community and responsive!This review almost went in the opposite direction. I've been through Buffalo State's door over a dozen times. Sometimes I pick up pizza or 2 to go or with family and friends for pizza inside or on their back patio.A few weeks ago, I was in with a group and a member of my party was upset over a television station change. I tried to solve the situation that afternoon, but the tempers were fresh.... I reached out to the owner who followed up and gave me the full picture. Misunderstandings happen.The owner was very responsive and fully supported his team who were in the right ( when a patron is rude and condescending, they aren't always right ).My favorite is the KCQ sub sausage for the chicken. You can order any pizza as 1/2 and 1/2, but don't do that with the KCQ because they will use classic red sauce ( house made, tomato based) instead of BBQ sauce and it's not quite as good.Awesome fresh brewed iced tea, full bar, and local beers on tap. Live music on occasion. Any size pizza ( from customized slice to a huge pizza for a party of 10 ).

Love this patio. Amazing pizza. The maverick is full of the meats and flavor. Loved the fromage dip. The chicken popper was also a great option. Very nostalgic pizza eatery downtown that is also family friendly.
