Bud's Cafe

Rare find while exploring the country side. We decided to go camping and wound up staying at Arrow Rock. We needed to get some things at Wal Mart and decided to grab a bite to eat. Did a YELP search and landed here based on previous customer reviews. Let me tell you, it was NOT a mistake. It looks like a beer joint but it's so much more inside! Greeted at the door as soon as we walked in by the wait person, we felt welcome from the very moment the door opened. A few booths sit opposite to the bar so we settled into one. From there my partner order a tenderloin and I ordered onion rings and a hamburger. All of it, every last bit of it was delicious! Reminded me of a locally owned place in my small hometown cooked by my grandmother. If you're in Marshall for any reason at all, need a bite to eat, go here. Seriously, don't waste your time anywhere else!!!!

Best sausage gravy in Marshall. Please make the biscuits bigger or buy the grands style to go with it. Server was super nice.

it felt homey even though this was my first time. I just had a pickup and waited a bit and admired the atmosphere. The bartender/chef was busssyyy! but she was working hard getting everyone settled. I got some breakfasts. basic pancake and eggs and sausage. Food was amazing and price wasn't bad at all!I recommend this place for breakfast and in general. Very nice. Thank you

Buds Café must have the best burger in Mid-Missouri. Love this dive bar. When I'm in town, I enjoy taking my father-in-law here for a beer and burger.

For a whole in the way I liked it.. good food cold beer and friendly staff.. not bad for a stop for a cold beer and quick food..

I have to say I wasn't expecting much when I drove by. I am new to the town and wanted to grab a beer and a bite so I stopped at Buds. It is a bar first and then it has a lovely bartender/chef who makes a killer burger and tots. I know it's only a burger and tots but everything was cooked perfectly! Hot and fresh, and cooked to order. It is a locals place with a lot of character

Very good food and great service. The owner tries to make sure everybody is happy with their meal. Have a problem...just let her know. And they have free delivery.

If you're looking for a great breakfast, Bud's is where it's at. Very moderate pricing, excellent home cooking, laid back environment. This place has been around forever, so everyone in there knows everyone else.Of course there's beer there, and also great lunch specials, but the breakfast is where it's at.

Bud's is the last bar in the downtown area. It has been there forever. Or at least longer than I can remember, and I'm 65. I've been there twice I guess, once in about 1968 and again in 2006. I promise to get there at least once more before I die. Anyway, the place hasn't changed one iota (excepting the paint, see below), as far as I can see, so I am perfectly comfortable in providing a review. True to the genre, there are no taps and almost no selection of beers. Bud longnecks, mostly. There is a very limited menu of foods that can be popped in the microwave. Smoking is encouraged. I see cars parked outside at 9 AM, and have always wondered if they serve Bud for breakfast, but have never been tempted to investigate. Bud tastes the same everywhere; I like the place because it is the only thing in my life that hasn't morphed into something else. (They did paint the facade a weird brown this year, the only change I can discern. Needs to go back to white, like right now.)
