Breakout KC - River Market

This was a great experience from start to finish!Most of my group had never done an escape room before and somehow I made the mistake of booking their most difficult room (LOL). The staff was helpful (shout out to Cole, Payton, and Adonis). They had a less challenging room available and we were able to do that one instead.We did the new Runaway Railcar room. I believe we were only the second group to get to try it. We were able to get out with 4 minutes to spare.Had a great time. Will definitely return.

From start to finish, we were shown great customer service and the staff was very helpful. The room experience was explained and we were allowed to ask questions. The room was fun! This time we did The Hero! The only downside to this experience is it is a little pricey, but you are also paying for the experience and the fun, especially when you do it with friends! Go check them out!

Breakout KC is an awesome escape room! They have provided the best overall experience of any escape room I have attended. They have several different rooms to choose from, and each one has great production quality for an escape room. The puzzles are difficult but not frustratingly so! We have done an advanced and expert level room, and we have enjoyed the challenge but have always escaped! The employees are super helpful. They are thorough but entertaining when going through the rules. They are very kind and knowledgeable when helping escape newbies! At $36/player, it's not a super cheap activity, but I think the price is worth it for the experience! They have about 4-5 parking spots directly in front of their door, but be careful - it's mostly private parking in the lot! Be careful where you park or you might get towed while you're escaping. If you can't snag a spot in their small lot, you'll be stuck with street parking, which can be very challenging in river market on the weekends. It's very conveniently located to the city market street car stops though!

I went to my first Mensa Annual Gathering (AG2024) and we had a blast! My group and I (5 of ranging escape room experience; Bryant Cabrera, Atlantis, William, Jeb, and Amanda) did Room 213. We made it out in 39:51 and set a monthly record! The global record was about 27 minutes. The production value was decent. The difficulty was average to a tad easy. Our guide, Jules was amazing! The front desk (Peyton and Emily) were so kind and helpful! The bathrooms were decent. I highly recommend this set of escape rooms.

Tried The Gambler with a group of 6! All except one of us had never done an escape room before. Quynh was a great game guide and gave us lots of clues and encouragement throughout the process. Highly recommend her! We finished with 7 seconds to spare. Thanks so much Breakout KC for the fun night!

My friends and I wanted to start a tradition by engaging in a breakout room. We chose the Szechuan Market and under the guidance of Val, we conquered it with 35 seconds to spare! Breakout KC staff was professional and the facilities were quite clean. I'm excited to go back to try another room whenever I'm back in Kansas City.

Wow this place really exceeded my expectations! We came here for a friend's birthday and it was a wonderful time! This was my boyfriend and I's first escape room but our other two friends have done all of them here! It was so cool to be in the energy and figuring out how to work the rooms. At first I did not know where to start, but doing it with people who have participated before made it easier to get the hang of things! I am a mildly claustrophobic person and I did not find the confinement of the rooms to be an issue which was a fear I had that restricted me from trying this sooner!! They keep the doors unlocked and you are not actually locked in for an hour (this is probably not news to anyone but it was to me)!

Had so much fun here! Accidentally did one of the hardest ones they had and we still had a blast. This was our first time doing an escape room and I think it's safe to say we'll be down to do it again!

Went with my family tonight. It was great! Willow was our guide, and she was absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend!
