Bossladys Famous Shrimp

This place has been in my backyard and I didn't know about it! If yall love Louisiana Cajun cooking this is your place . We had the shrimp fest and the fried shrimp basket!!! Don't pass this place up!

Saw this place on Instagram. Me and my wife drove 30 minutes to this place because it was black owned. We love supporting black own businesses but when the service is this poor, it makes it hard to support these businesses. We waited 30 minutes on mozzarella sticks. We were only two or four people in the entire building. The food was OK. We ordered up quite a few dishes just to try them out. Nothing really jumped off the table at us. The gumbo was good. The shrimp basket was good. The rest of the stuff was just meh. I could easily make it at home so take it for what it's worth and the prices are expensive. They're not reasonable at allIf you want to stay in business. Address service times. People don't wanna wait 30 minutes on appetizers that are cold.

The food was very well seasoned, nice size plates. The service was a little slow and disorganized, but the food did make up for it. The seating was good. Loved the movies playing the music.

I just stumbled upon Bosslady's and couldn't resist stopping by for some delicious appetizers. Let me tell you, I'm thrilled that I did! The calamari was absolutely perfect - crispy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. And don't get me started on the Shrimp Potato Explosion - it was absolutely fantastic, bursting with mouthwatering garlic shrimp. Needless to say, I can't wait to go back for a full dinner experience.

Food was TERRIBLE! The fried mushrooms weren't cooked all the way, they took over an hour just to be served. We ordered the shrimp feast which they show shrimp,corn,sausage,potatoes @ $35 each. Plus an extra of crab claws. The sausage was more like hotdogs, corn over cooked, shrimp chewy. They never brought out the claws. The decor was abysmal, looked like a half fast redo of an old Chinese restaurant, with cheap chair covers that don't even fit. The prices for this place are absolutely ridiculous, and not worth it. Another couple were leaving as we did, having been there an hour with no service at all! RUN.

I ordered pickup online through the website. Inside of the place was pleasant and pretty clean. Outside windows had a lot of the specials advertised. I'm sure the food is much better when eaten there at the restaurant. I was not very impressed with how it tasted when I got home. The order was done on time so that was good service but.flavor wise of everything was very average. Will try them again sometime to try their catfish!

I was here with a friend, expecting an enjoyable meal - especially after reading the reviews. It's a good sign when you walk into a seafood restaurant and aren't assaulted by the smell of fish or oil. While fried seafood is available, specially seasoned and lightly sauced shell-on shrimp dominates the menu. We had the KC shrimp, the Caribbean shrimp, and the appetizer of fried clams. Things were ready quickly, were perfectly cooked, and everything tasted so fresh. Our sides (corn and the broccoli cheese casserole) were also great. Beer was served in a chilled glass mug. Good seafood is hard to find in the middle of the country, and what I had here was excellent quality, and then excellently prepared. The ambiance is not fussy, but comfortable. It is enhanced by a friendly front-of-house team who are armed with plenty of jocular humor and a musical soundtrack curated in-house. It's refreshing to find a real restaurant where a small group of folks look after everything. No corporatized nonsense...just friendly service in an evolving space. In an area where the parking lots of unremarkable chain restaurants serve reheated dishes full of chemicals, it's nice to find a place where a small array of good ingredients are freshly prepared. This is a place to seek out, and a small local business to support.

Next time I will eat within the restaurant. I ordered take out but had to wait longer than anticipated for its preparation. By the time I arrived at my destination, the food had steamed down the texture and flavor. Good!

Horrible terrible experience waiter was entitled and very disrespectful, food was being delivered late and very cold , we even ordered bread and it was wet ...... never again

Food was fine. I was surprised by the higher prices. We ordered the shrimp and grits and garlic butter shrimp with rice since they were out of shrimp scampi pasta, which was disappointing but it happens. I wish we were warned about how long the wait would be. I didn't realize the food was typically made to order until seeing some of these reviews. Though, for what we ordered, I didn't think it would take so long: over 30 minutes. Our waitress was kind but we were getting frustrated after being there for an hour and wanting the check.
