We hired Boozy Baby Mobile Bar in February 2024 for an event we were hosting. Victoria was our main point of contact.Overall, she was very responsive during the hiring process. She is the owner. Victoria passed us down to Kenna Haley. We were excited to meet her and bring our bar menu to fruition. The final menu she provided was beautiful and we were very excited about it. Fast forward to the afternoon before our event....We receive a call from Victoria stating Kenna was sick and she was now assigning Jeff as our bartender. We understand people get sick, so we were accepting of this. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only bad news she had to tell us. Victoria explained that the venue we were going to be at didn't have an adequate space for the bar to set up and we needed to rent a $100 bar option, and only had 15 minutes to make a decision. This was because "they closed at 5pm", and called us at 4:45pm. Apparently they never toured the place like they said. After expressing our concern, and stating we really didn't want to spend any more money this last minute (we already spent almost $800 with them on 2 cocktails and 2 mocktails for 3 hours service for 30 people) we begrudgingly decided we might as well do it because we wanted our event to be professional and felt we didn't have much of a choice. She, very unprofessionally, FaceTimed us back and said she found another mobile bar from a friend of hers that she was going to rent and "eat the cost on" because this was essentially her fault. We thanked her and assumed all was OK.Its the day of our event and we agreed to meet Jeff there at 5 PM. This was two hours before our event started as Victoria stated the bar needed two hours of set up time. We wanted to introduce ourselves and make sure that he had everything he needed. At 5:10, Jeff still wasn't there. We contacted Victoria and she said he was "on his way". He eventually arrived shortly after and said he had everything he needed to set up. We headed out to grab a bite to eat and came back at about 6 PM to see Jeff and the mobile bar in pieces in the area that he was supposed to be set up in. He explained he had never put this bar together before, but he was going to figure it out. Another person arrived closer to the end of their set up time, and they finally had it ready to go at about 7:15, 15 minutes past the start of the event. They were both very flustered. The bar didn't have our signage up because the easels that Victoria promised were not provided. They had to 3m strip them to the open front of the bar and it looked awful. Supplies to build the bar were left out, the back of the bar was in disarray, it was sloppy to say the least. At this point, our event had already began, so we were just hoping for the best and that the drinks were to par. But it still wasn't ready at start time. As we headed over to the bar to grab our first drink, we hear a crash. The entire shelf that held the ice along with other bar essentials crash to the ground. This bar that Victoria supplied was very flimsy plastic, and didn't appear sturdy at all. This set them back in time even more, although we weren't keeping track at just how much time, as we were entertaining our guests. Jeff explained that our lavender syrup for one of our drinks had broke and there was no back up. One drink down. We now had to advertise it as something completely different. As we started ordering drinks, we realized that three of the four drinks did not contain all the ingredients that were listed on the menu. When we asked Jeff about why there were no jalapeños for the jalapeño margarita, he looked at me confused, and his assistant said "she didn't give you any jalapeños". It was so embarrassing and we were in awe at how unprofessional this was. Victoria was the one solely in charge of our event and it felt like she collected our payments and then went the cheap route with EVERYTHING. I was shocked because this is a company that had five 5-star reviews on Thumbtack. I can't imagine Boozy Baby Mobile bar doing an event like a wedding with so many more people. Who doesn't supply a back up of one of the main ingredients in a drink? There are too many things to list here that went wrong with each drink. While Victoria is communication was great during the sign-up process, Jeff said that he spoke with her that evening, and told her everything that happened. Not once did she text, email, or call us to apologize for all of her shortcomings. We emailed the next day listing all of the issues we had and she agreed to refund $100, which felt like a slap in the face considering 3 of the 4 drinks we paid for were not what we wanted and quite frankly, not good. She then provided a breakdown of all of the items that were missing from our event and we ultimately decided on an additional $125.27. We never heard from her again. We would highly advise against hiring Boozy Baby. Huge disappointment.
