Outstanding small space in Lenexa that is focused for the phenomena that is pickleball! Sure, there are parks aplenty in Johnson County, but each one of them seems to be carving out a niche in the market. Are you playing pickleball? Bois D'Arc boasts eight pickleball-only courts, lined specifically for the game and braced with fences to help keep games separated. The competition is open and varied in skill level and there is almost always someone looking for partners or a game of doubles. Sure, there are private spots in JoCo, but for a spot run by the municipality, Bois D'Arc is as good as needed.Courts are generally first-come, first-served, but there are leagues & tourneys that get hosted here and those are generally well-marked with time slots advertised. You can also 'reserve' courts for your own functions via the City of Lenexa web site with reasonable rates. The facilities are portalets, so that's not the best, but the courts and play equipment rate all five stars.Get outside!

This park is pretty new with 8 pickleball courts and lighting. Plenty of courts to choose from and there are tables scattered around the courts for when you want to take a break and socialize with other players. The courts are very new and very nice to play on. It does get very busy here when I came after work so I had to shift my schedule around. It's still busy in the morning but at least I can get on the courts. There's also a small shelter and a playground for the kiddos. There's not a real bathroom though - just a Porta Potty setup. Parking is also very limited and most people park across at the church or by Rudy's next door. If you like to play pickleball, this place is great. It's small and totally geared towards PB so if it's your thing, this place has it!

Went there and wasn't too busy (Tuesday around 3pm), we just used the pickleball courts so I can't speak on the playground experience but it looked nice. The bathrooms were just port potties and they weren't the cleanest but it's outside so I can't complain. The water fountain is nice to have, has a water bottle filler as well.
