Ok, so when it comes to working out, I am pretty much worthless. I can find a million excuses for not going to the gym or exercising everyday, I seem to have a 'gift' for it:)! That aside, 2016 came around and I had convinced myself that I was going to brake my old ways of thinking about staying fit and exercising, and that is when I discovered "Bodyfit"! This is one amazing location to workout! From beginners to advance levels of fitness Bodyfit has a class with a knowledgable coach for you. They even offer kickboxing lessons if you are in to that sort of thing. However, for the most part they are focused on "HIIT" or high intensity interval training; much like cross-fit but taken down to a level where people are not destroying their backs and becoming hulk monsters:) Per my discussion of laziness above, I signed up for 1 month of classes at a very cheap rate of $50; but, I only attended at most 5 classes. Now I keep telling myself that I am going to return to Bodyfit and really give it a serious go this time, yet I am building up the courage to do that:) All being said, no matter what your fitness level is, the trainers here will work with you to get your butt in shape and trust me it HURTS, but I know that had I stayed with the program I would likely be a good 15-20 pounds lighter as I lay here writing this review. It is my #1 choice of gyms in KC & as you can see they are willing to work with you on the pricing. I hope this inspires some to go hit the "cardio-weight" training hard at Bodyfit, because I guarantee that if you were to stick with the program for 6 months that you would be cut!P.S. they are the only gym in the KC metro area that is run 100% on green energy; solar panels and all! It is really quite cool & unique!

My experience at this gym was excellent. I got the opportunity to work with an individual by the name of Stefan, who led a class for a group of young college men. This was a terrific experience. Stefan found a balance of support, consistency, and challenge. Undoubtedly, I plan to return and recommend it.

BodyFit was the first gym I ever joined, & I regret nothing! Vava & his team is the epitome of what training a body should be. I looked forward to going to BodyFit more than hanging out with friends. I would always be so upset when work would cause me to miss a session. My whole day was just ruined. I loved seeing my body transform in the time that it did. That had never happened before, I was definitely feeing myself. Haha. Outside of the great group workouts, I greatly enjoyed the yoga classes as well. A bit noisy outside, but as yogis, you'll come to understand that you must channel the inevitable. Keep it going strong BodyFit. You always have a place in my heart.

I joined this gym a year ago needing help with both motivation and actual results. The staff and Bodyfit did just that. They made me want to keep coming and further improve myself class after class. They pay attention to what you do during class so that you have the correct technique while also knowing your weight limits. It's an all around great place.

Bodyfit has changed my life for the positive. I'm down in dress sizes and I have actual strength! They will work with you one on one and help you reach your body goals. I love how everyone is happy to see you and welcomes you to the gym. The most important aspect of this gym is that the trainers make sure you have good form and help you avoid injuries.

Bodyfit is AWESOME. The only thing this gym is missing (in my opinion) is a spin studio! If they offered spinning, I'd be in for life. I walked in to body fit the hard way. You would THINK that you can enter the front door (on Main St.), you cannot. The door is actually in the back. It is kind of hidden, but it's only a problem on your first visit because obviously after that you have it figured out! I was welcomed at the front desk by everyone there! I was given a tour and the classes were described to me. The conditioning / FIT class they offer sounds AWESOME. It sounded just like the other circuit/HIIT workout bootcamp so had been doing, but thy take it to the next level. They hook up a heart monitor to you and at the end of the class you can sync with their iPad to see how many calories you burned! That's a pretty cool extra that I have not seen anywhere else! Anyways, level 1 is the bootcamp area. Their are weights/mats/kettle bells/ and everything else you need. It is on the ground floor, but it's downstairs from where you walk in (where the front desk is). The yoga room and personal training areas are upstairs. I think there is another fitness studio up there (maybe a cycle studio in the future - hint hint!). The yoga room is super nice. The whole building is. They pretty much gutted it and redid everything. Fabulous job.Anyway, I've been to two hot yoga classes with the instructor Grace Duckworth. I'm going to be completely honest and say it was my first hot yoga class and maybe my second yoga class. Although I have done lots of Pilates, yoga just never drew me in. Well... All that has changed because Grace is AMAZING. Seriously. If you are thinking about doing yoga for the first time, I HIGHLY recommend her. She is great at describing the poses, and walking you through each step, while really working to ensure you are not hurting yourself. She will give a demonstration, then offer up to three alternatives and encourages advanced poses, but still makes the classes beginner friendly. As far as hot yoga goes, I usually break a little sweat in the class. It's not so hot you will pass out. Honestly, it's not. It feels good and the heat really does help you get deeper in the moves. I'm hooked. The last thing I wanted to add was about things you need. Honestly, nothing, all of the yoga equipment you need is there, although I do bring my own mat. I would recommend bringing one if you have it (since you are barefoot). Finally, thank you to the Bodyfit employees for being so smiley and happy when I see you all at the front desk. You truly look happy to be at work and that is awesome. (Can I work there?!)

I was impressed that the entire facility is GREEN, completely powered by a $100,000 solar system they had custom built and installed. It's much larger than it looks from the outside with the top floor Yoga studio, a full padded martial arts area (I think it's Jujitsu but I have not attended), strength training classes on the main level and a nice set of locker rooms for men and women. Most gyms just take your money and leave it up to you to figure out how to exercise but the Bodyfit trainers go out of the way to call, text and motivate you to get to the classes. Similar to Crossfit but more individualized classes and group training are included with the monthly membership. In the past two months a lady from my office has lost 25 pounds attending the group classes at Bodyfit after she had tried just about everything else without results. It's a new kind of gym with good people and a nice facility worth checking out.

Best gym in KC! Has everything you'd want. Open gym and machines, great classes with great trainers, and awesome kickboxing and jujitsu! The staff hold you accountable and go above and beyond to ensure you hit your goals. They create a great community, too!

I've only been here a few times but David the owner really makes me feel like I belong already! I have been working out for some times and just needed a good solid environment of instructing as I need form adjustment and someone to push me through those days I'm so depressed I can hardly care about anything. He teaches you things you always over look or don't think about when doing a workout. And the staff are so kind and listen to what you need to express. I wish I had come here sooner when I used to be a visitor to KC instead of a resident.
