Boat House

Middle of nowhere but great place to eat and hang out! Give it a shot if you are in the area. Nothing was a disappointment, everything we ordered hit the spot. Can't wait to go back and try the daily special. Great staff!

We were heading to Kansas City and found this place right off highway. The best catfish I've ever had. Loved it!

Good food - quick service. Their burgers and fries are great and their fried pickles are awesome!!

Dry rub ribs were huge and tender. Delicious. My husband got the fried catfish and shrimp. Nice crispy batter with soft and moist center. Our waitress was really friendly. We're gonna be back to try the fried chicken which people raves about.

It's been a couple years since I have been here, but I have never forgotten how great this place was to eat. We walked in and our first impression was not good. My wife and I continued to critique the restaurants décor and staff. We ordered our first meal (thought it would be our last). The wait time was adequate for the menu items. Then, we tasted the food. Had the buffalo chicken. It was definitely the best buffalo chicken I have ever eaten in my entire life. If you are stopping by Stockton Lake to do some fishing, you MUST hit up the Boat House!

You need to go to Boat House on Wednesday evenings or Sunday to order their fried chicken. It is outta this world! It took several minutes to be acknowledged by staff and we were seated at a visibly soiled table. We then waited several more minutes until able to flag down someone to have the table cleaned. Drinks, ordering, food, and checks all came slowly. The chicken is expected to take longer to arrive since it is pan-fried fresh but everything else should have been more timely considering the restaurant seemed to only be about half full. In summary, service is slow, I may even consider service poor, but the chicken makes up for it!

Great food, service and fun atmosphere. 4 of us had. KC steak, 2 ribeyes and pulled/ham meal and cocktails.

More flavor from a burger wrapper. Had pork and brisket bbq dinner. Baked potato and onion rings were the only highlight. Meat was more like roasted in Dr. Pepper than bbq'd. No seasoning...no smokey flavor....both tasted exactly the same. Wings had no seasoning at all either. If you enjoy bread with dinner, forget it! They plop your meat atop the texas toast. WDT? Why bother to grill it?Very disappointed in the lack of flavor.Atmosphere was great, too bad the food didnt compare. Local drunks shouldn't be allowed to stay so long, especially when harassing the patrons.Only left one star because I couldn't leave zero! We won't be visiting here again.

Had the ribs, and the mushroom / swiss burger. Burger was dry, fries were the worst. Ribs not too bad, but would not order again. Would not recommend as a good place to eat out. More of a "pub" style eatery with the bar, more a place to drink than eat. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Fried chicken is delicious! Catfish is so tasty! I always go for the Yacht with pork. My husband loves the baked beans. Always a consistent experience.
