Blue Parkway Sunfresh

You know you are in a bad store when the bakery doesn't even cycle out moldy bread. I have even been in sunfresh when employees started arguing so loudly security had to be called.

The best thing I can say is that it's close. The deli area has good friend chicken and sandwiches and the bakery is pretty good in terms of food quality. The store is not as clean or bright as a Price Chopper and they don't have the best prices but it's the closest store so I get lazy and shop there sometimes.There is a full liquor store in the Sunfresh with it's own side entrance for those who partake in the drink. The one strange but pleasing feature I would have never expected is a decent selection of cards (birthday, holiday, wedding, etc.) that are all nice quality for only $1. You can also pay utility bills or send money from the customer service area located right in front of you when you walk in the door.

Worst customer service in Kansas City! I went there cause I always spend a lot of money there but not anymore! I was checked out by a rude disrespectful cashier with an attitude problem her name is "Stephanie" and a Security Gaurd named "Alex" he also gave me an attitude problem and made the situation worse! I was also told I was wrong by a manager named "Mark" but the customer is always right. I spent thousands of dollars but not anymore.. I'm on my way to return most of the things I bought. This store only accepts cash and turned down my bank card. Worse grocery store in KC and I am no longer a true customer. My cash will be spent elsewhere! Sun Fresh cares more about transaction fees from using a card then a long term customer that spends thousands but not anymore.. I will take my cash/card elsewhere!

I am aware I have reviewed on this store before, the main reason I frequent it, it is very close to my home. It is 2016 and I have the same complaint especially with the smoked meats presented at the front of the store...The so called Italian smoked sausage today was burnt and looked like smoked sausage..Why do they allow food to go out like this? They need to pay closer attention. Either monitor the preparation of smoked meats or go take notes at Price Chopper...ijs

This store is very clean, always well stocked and they have an excellent produce department Those are the only good things about this store. My main issue with this store is the staff. They are very unprofessional. I have gone to this store on a handful of times and have received the same shabby service on each occasion. Several times I have had to wait for cashiers to finish their conversions with other employees before checking me out. I've also had employees play me off when I asked them where items were located in the store. On top of all of that their prices are slightly higher than other stores in the area.

On my last visit I noticed there is trash everywhere and the parking lot is a mess.I went to the produce section and bought a few items including an odd looking piece of fruit. It looked like a wrinkly grapefruit and I had never seen one before.So I went to checkout in the back by the liquor dept. The checker says to me "whats this" referring to the fruit. I said "I forgot what it is called" and she says ok. I suggest she get someone to go check the price. She acts rudely and put out.Just then I remember that the fruit is a clementine.So I say "it's a clementine" and she says back to me "well why didn't you just say it in the first place". You want to talk about rude. I will never enter that store again.I called the manager and he said he would do something. I bet nothing was even said.

Amazing customer service! Thanks D'andre (I hope that was your name). He noticed I had a damaged pizza and ran to get me a new one. This kid needs a raise!

Well, I keep trying this store. Forget customer service. They've never heard of it. Food quality. I really like "frozen" biscuits. As I was picking some up, I realized the biscuits had been allowed to thaw, then restocked. As a result, the biscuits formed one BIG BLOB. I picked out the best ones I could find. There were none. What is the problem with this store? They have NO area in which they excel. None. Do the people in that area just accept it? Do yourself a favor. Walmart is not too far away. Go there. This ghetto store is as bad as it can get. If possible I would've given it a negative rating. -5

I am a customer at this location and thought that I had a good relationship with the Mgr. Kim. On December 30, 2018 while shopping in the produce department I saw a lot of signs hanging over the (greens) which were grammatically incorrect. So I thought that I would bring it to the attention of the Mgr. because I was sure he was unaware of it and I wanted my store to be thought of in a good way. Several other customers saw it as well. Prior to paying for my food I stopped by his office and when he came out I brought to his attention the errors on the sign. He first jokingly I thought said are you correcting my grammar? Shh! I said quietly I don't want you to look bad and proceeded to show him the sign with what needed to be corrected. The words should have been: Due not Do, Inclement not In climate, and the Ashortage should have been A Shortage. A few days later I was shopping again and noticed that the error had not been corrected. I was again in the store on Jan. 3, 2019 and noticed the same signs still there. I am offended and insulted and feel as if I was of another race or the store in another location he would have fixed the issues. I felt as if he did not appreciate my input or maybe he thinks that we're all ignorant and don't know the difference. Contrary to popular opinion we're not all dumb and we even have cars to take us to another store. I prefer to shop where I am respected. I hope you will pop in and see for yourself.
