Looking for a quick appetizer to munch on and saw this place with variety of dumplings and noodles. My bf and I decided to try since we don't live in the area. They have alot of cool deco inside. Alot of KC Chief painting on the wall. The hostess was fast to greet. They wasn't busy during that time so we got a table quickly. The server was very nice.We just wanted some dumplings, so I ordered a spicy pork dumpling. It came out like in 15min. Nice fresh and hot. It's a little different tasting than the chili wonton I gotten at other restaurants. It was good. Maybe come back try the other food they have when we back in town.

I've followed them from their place off of 39th, to this completely out of my way location, albeit not as often, but they are still my favorite of all favorites! Ended my 2024 here in the evening with one waiter manning the entire restaurant. It was busy and with slow service, but nothing to be held against him. He was super nice and did a great job. Ordered our usuals, Almond Joy Bubbles, blended, with Kahlua. Fried Combo Dumplings and Fried Veggie Dumplings. And Fire Bird all around (duck, chicken and tofu). Along with Ants on a Log, Pot Roast, etc. you get the picture. We love it here! Fantastic, no matter what you order. The portions are generous, which means yummy leftovers. The restaurant is quaint with a friendly warmth. Perfect way to end the year. I'm sure we'll see you soon in the new year also.

Man this place used to be my favorite spot to get Chinese food. My family had been coming here since the late 2000s. Seems like in my long absence the menu has changed pretty noticeably. My most recent visit I had the ginger chicken on a bed of rice. I was pretty excited but once it was brought out I was a bit disappointed as it appeared pretty plain. The ginger flavor was there but left a lot to be desired and had almost no veggies or much of anything besides the somewhat plain chicken and white rice. I saw this dish can be ordered with noodles, perhaps that is the correct way to order the dish. I'm not sure.My previous visit I had the almond chicken and asparagus and that was pretty damn good. When I return I will absolutely order that again. The staff were great, and helped my partner narrow down her entree decision. The bubble tea was good and came in a very large to go cup!

We had a great dinner at Blue Koi. We had spicy chili wontons, china moon and dumplings for an appetizer. They were all good but the crispy china moon was a big hit. We all had different entrées and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The chinese pot roast was tender, the fire chicken was a little spicy but not too much...good if you like spicy chili crisp. My favorite was the almond asparagus chicken with noodles...mild, creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, a comfort food dish! We didn't have reservations and had to wait a while on a Friday evening, but once seated, we were promptly served, and the food quickly arrived.

I have been many times over the years and I can never stop getting the noodle soup because it's such a massive portion I can save for leftovers. I love the home crafted noodles that are hard to find elsewhere. The dumplings are also large and perfectly crafted. Having so many cocktail options around $10 is also rare at good restaurants these days. The service is always great with easy parking outside.

Authentic Chinese comfort food that exceeds the mark in all regards. We were quickly seated in an beautifully designed restaurant with an open layout and a view of the kitchen so customers can see where the magic happens. I went with my older grandparents who have a lot of accommodations, and staff was friendly and helpful the whole time. We ate here because it is one of my grandma's favorite, and after one meal, I can see why. I ordered the Firebird with chicken and was loved it. Every bite was loaded with excitement as the flavors and spices combined together in perfect harmony. Not overwhelming heat, but just enough to awaken the rest of the aromatics. Homemade noodles were a perfect complement to bring the dish home. My grandma loved her Cantonese Duck and I tried my grandpa's shrimp dumplings that were simple, but elegant. A great eating experience with great company and I would love to come back.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door by the sweet hostess. The inside looks very spacious and clean. We got there early around 5:00pm for dinner because we heard they get busy fast! We ordered a few dishes to share. We started off with lettuce wrap and chili wonton to share. Both got great flavors. The wonton was big and stuff with a lot of meat. The chili sauce complimentary it really well. We decided to share wonton noodle soup. And our server was so nice to split it into two bowls for us. Broth was perfect. And noodles were perfectly cooked. The portion was huge! Glad we decided to split it.The waiter was very friendly. I didn't get his name. But he was very attentive. We will be back.

My husband and I have been loyal visitors of Blue Koi for years, and it's consistently our favorite spot, especially for their Chinese pot roast. We've enjoyed it both with noodles and in noodle soup, and it's always flavorful and comforting. We've also tried their stir fry chicken dishes, chili wontons, and various dumplings--all equally delicious. The calm, welcoming ambiance and excellent service make every visit enjoyable. We discovered this gem through the Triple D show, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese food, especially for the pork shoulder pot roast.

Went here with some friends and had a good time. The service was awesome and the food was tasty. I had the Chinese Pot Roast, which was good and a lot of it. I had the rest for dinner. It is an interesting looking place, and pretty quiet.

I was in KC for work and my mom INSISTED that I make sure I went here. She had seen it on DDD and had been thinking about it since. We headed in and gave it a try. We knew we wanted the chili dumplings. I have only ever had this kind of dumpling steamed but the server said that the most popular way was pan fried. So we went with majority. We also got the firebird noodles with tofu because they made that on the special too. Everything was super good. I would definitely go back and get these dishes again. I think I just prefer chili wontons steamed over fried in general so I would go that route. But again, just super good. Service was fantastic! The server was friendly and attentive.
