First time throwing axes. Had so much fun and recommend to anyone in the area. Great staff and willing to show you the way. Just plain fun.

Taught a family today and they left me some pretty artwork.
Wanna throw an axe? It's actually a lot more fun than it sounds. You get into it in a strange way.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Blade & Timber! Our coach, TJ, was great and made sure we were comfortable and knew what to do before turning us loose and was never too far away if we needed anything. I wasn't quite sure about this activity and how I'd like it, but I ended up loving it! It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back! There were plenty of other groups there at the same time as us, but we all had more than enough space to hang out and throw.

My family and I went to Blade & Timber this weekend for Father's Day - honestly it felt like we were running low on ideas for family activities, and so we decided to give this a try. I'm glad we did - it was a fun, casual, easy outing to celebrate the holiday. The reason for the average review is mostly for the price. We paid $112 for 4 people for an hour and a half, which feels steep to me - this is definitely not something I'd want to pay for outside of a special occasion. Additionally, they request tips for your coach/server on not just your food/drink bill - but on the bill for the entire experience, making your tip at least $25 on top of your total. If you order drinks, you're not escaping here for under $200. I want our server to be fairly tipped, but tipping that much more for what was essentially a 5-minute how-to at the beginning of our experience feels a little rich. All that said, our coach was very friendly. The facility is well-maintained and clean. I do like the layout, with tables at the end of each lane where you can sit with your party. They have a nice booklet of suggested games to try - which really help give some structure to what would otherwise be an hour and a half of throwing an axe. It is also nice that they still allow you up to 3 alcoholic beverages while throwing weapons - haha. The 1.5 hour session is the perfect amount of time - it allowed just to play 2 full games, and throw around for a while. In the last 15 minutes or so, we were feeling like we definitely had our fill.Axe-throwing is really something you only need to do once, or maybe every couple of years, but we had a good time.

2 months agoMy husband and I have never been axe throwing before so we decided to go for my birthday. We had a blast playing some of the recommended games while competing against each other. Our coach, Nick was awesome and very encouraging when I was failing miserably (apparently this NYC girl was not meant to be a lumberjack). Nick also spent some time showing us some tricks using two axes which my husband really enjoyed. Overall we had a great time. I just wish there were a little more food options. Other than that, I do recommend Blade & Timber for a group activity or date night with your significant other!

I didn't have a reservation but was able to walk in on a Saturday night at 8 pm for a quick 90 minute round of ax throwing! Cameron was super nice in helping us getting set up and letting know us the various safety rules in place for our session. I had their cherry limeade cocktail which was great - highly recommend it! They only allow three drinks per session for ax throwing, if you'll like to drink more, you won't be allowed to throw anymore axes. It costs us $27 per person for 90 minutes. Cocktails were around $9 each! Overall, it was a great experience and fun way to spend your evening with some friends or family! Super friendly staff on the floor to assist you with whatever questions or asks you may have!

Ok...this was a BLAST! Came with my sister and brother in law. My nephew is 10 and wasn't sure about throwing the real axes yet so Cali brought out a plastic target and axes for kids - he loved it! And felt so included. We all felt like pros at the end - Cali thank you for a great time! We so much fun and all feel super badass now.

Never been axe throwing before and had no idea what to expect. This place was smaller than I imagined, and could seem crowded if all lanes were reserved. I did really enjoy the throwing instruction and demo. It was only two of us, but I think it's more of a group activity. The time allotted is perfect in my opinion. I love that they have a alcohol limit for safety reasons! I was so bad that I wouldn't dare to drink and throw. Now, do not get anything to eat here! I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip ... it was Tostitos chips and dip. You can see the bags and items through their "kitchen" window.

First time axe throwing and our coach Nick was so good. Within a few throws we were sticking the axe in and finding our range. When we weren't he would tell us what to correct and we were right back to getting it in. All 4 of us hit 6s before we left. The trick shots he taught us were cool too. Can't wait to be back!

Had a blast! Never thought I'd be throwing axes, but it was so much fun. Emmy was an amazing coach and gave excellent instructions. The only thing that would've made this night better would be reopening their kitchen! Great fun! Thank you Emmy!
