Visited this place for lunch and it was packed! Even though it was very busy, the line went quickly and I didn't have to wait a long time for my food. They also have plenty of seating! They give you a number if you order food, so I was able to sit at a table instead of standing. I got the cranberry walnut toast and a sugar-free vanilla latte. The toast wasn't my favorite. The bread was very thick and messy to eat, but the coffee was delicious! They had a variety of sugar-free syrup options for coffee, so I will be coming back!

Still a favorite in our house and a go-to spot with my mom. I love coming with family and splitting a few entrees - this lets my mom and I have both sweet and savory options. Some of our go-tos are the sunrise sandwich, any of the toast offerings (all are good - always fun when there is a a seasonal option), and the biscuits and gravy. The place is almost always packed, especially during peak hours. There is a varity of seating available, but grabbing a table can be tricky when it's busy. Always a great spot, but it is a pricer option. We can spend nearly $40 for two entrees and two coffees. However, it is worth it once in awhile, the the quality of the food is unmatched!

Ordinarily pleasant experience of ordering spoiled by grumpy manager that proceeded to chew me out for opening my own bottle with their opener on the counter. Apparently I reached a couple of inches behind an imaginary line they have, to pick up the opener. He gets half way through my transaction then barks at another employee to finish ringing up my purchase. The second employee has a slightly better attitude but also proceeds to correct me on how I shouldn't be picking up their bottle opener, etc.Take a vacation, guys.Big time yuk vibe.

Went here in the morning before I had to meet a client. The only negative that I could find was this place is BUSY!! When I arrived there was a line of about 6 people in front of me. Line wasn't super long time wise. Drinks came out fairly quickly and had great flavor. I had ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was very good, the bread was light and fluffy. I ended up getting one of the last seats at the time. The whole time I was there people were coming and going at the counter, not a lot of seat opened up. If you are looking for a place to site and chat while you drink your coffee this would be a great place. If you are looking for a place to site and work, this place is a fairly loud and extremely busy. They also have fresh bread that you can buy at the counter however I didn't buy any so I can't say what the flavors were like.

Great spot! Enjoyable place for coffee or to grab a bite for breakfast and lunch. I enjoy their coffee and enjoyed their breakfast Sunrise Sandwich even more. The pastries look good though I have not yet tried them. Everything seems to be made with good quality and the service is great. Only con in my experience is it usually seems quite busy, so I can't guarantee you'll have a spot to dine in. Definitely worth the visit!

I have always had a great experience at Black Dog coffee. They serve Messenger coffee and Ibis bakery items. I got the hot dirty chai and it was perfectly spicy. They make the chai syrup downtown at the main Messenger and use it at Black Dog. If you like Messenger you are sure to like Black Dog.

It's a nice, hipster coffee shop. I. My opinion everything is insanely overpriced. I spent $20 for a chai and a chicken salad sandwich. The chair was fine. The chicken sandwich had barely any chicken salad on it. Mostly bread and lettuce.

This coffee house has ample space for seating and not overly crowded or noisy when it's like 60% of capacity full on a Thursday lunch time. They are partnered with Ibis bakery but still serving light freshly made meals or sandwiches. It's really awesome to have plenty of choices for food and coffee or non-caffeine beverages. I got he biscuit and gravy plate and hot latte today, their gravy is so far the best I've tasted (not much though). The coffee was decent, good coffee. They seem to be a better version of "Messenger cafe". I'd definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

I ordered a mocha. It was served in wide mug, on a saucer. Service was helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. The vibe was casual. As someone that just had a knee replacement, I found it very hard to find a chair that worked for me. Table and chairs industrial looking, low, and uncomfortable.

Everything I have had here has been delicious- food, drinks, croissants. It has become my go-to when I'm in the area and I tend to go several times when I am visiting! I usually order to-go and it is always ready quickly for pickup!
