Amazing service and superb pricing. The owner has more than 40 years experience and he's incredibly passionate about biking. His collection of bikes is second to none in the whole area and he lives to help his customers. I'm incredibly thankful for all the work he did on my grandson's bikes.

Called ericks to ask about orange sealant. Noone picked up all automated. Called bikes for likes and darby picked up promptly and answered all my questions about tubeless. The sealant was $2 less than on amazon. Darbys also a huge bmx collector and has a great museum and knowledge of vintage and contemporary bmx. This is a guy that has spent life on two wheels. Literal expert.

Best selection around for Mountain Bikes, Road bikes, BMX, One Wheel and much more. The service is top notch. I will only have them service my bikes. Pricing is very reasonable and the maintenance is backed by certifications and 30 years of business. I drive more than an hour because the customer comes first here. Parts, gear, soft goods.... They have it!!! Best in the business

My better half wanted to buy me a bike for my birthday knowing I really wanted a road bike. He looked around but settled on Bikes for the Likes of us because of the location. Little did we know what a hidden gem this turned out to be. Darby was SUPER knowledgeable and genuinely nice. His understanding of the different types of bikes made for an understandable bike buying experience. I ended up buying a different bike than I originally set out for because of the thorough explanation of features and benefits of each type of bike. I absolutely would recommend this store for the any skill level rider.

Way over priced for bike repair. Tried to push many more repairs that didn't need to be done. Brought the bike to Bike America and got it fixed for half of the price this place quoted me! Came across as condescending (like other reviewers have said about this place) and just generally slimey.

My husband initially took his "not ridden in 10 years" bike in for tire replacement and general cleaning and adjustments, and I came along when he went to pick it up. (Thank you, Darby and family for being vigilant with customer safely during the Covid-19 situation.)Meanwhile, I looked for a bike for myself. Darby made some good suggestions, based on my age (60s) and some orthopedic issues I haIve. The store was almost closing, so I came back the next morning and purchased a bike that feels so perfect for me and for where and how I'll ride. He never once pressured me to purchase a more "lucrative" model, although they were there. A similar bike from Amazon or a "big box" store might have saved me as much as $100. But Darby was both professional and helpful, especially regarding a few of my physical concerns. I can also bring it back during the first month at any time for free adjustments if it's something I can't easily do myself. And I have a real place to take it back for seasonal adjustments and repairs. Can you do that with a bike from WalStore?I was also impressed with their selection of used and completely refurbished bikes, and a good in-store stock for all ages of children. Also "sitting" bikes, electric bikes, and larger trikes if you or your older child has physical limitations or just prefer it. Yes, you may pay a smidge more than if you were to buy your child's bike at WalStore. But the quality and price range of children's and youth bikes will get your child onto a safer piece of equipment. This local shop is the real deal, and I recommend it without hesitation!MaryanneOlathe, KS (Retired Educator)

Darby has become my primary source for any bicycle needs, parts or maintenance. If Darby worked on it, it was done right. Prices are fair as well. Give this local business a try.

Customer service is not dead... My son needed to get a new BMX frame operational for an upcoming race weekend. Having understood race schedules, Darby got him up and running in less than 24 hours. Even though I was footing the bill for all the work that was to be done, he also spoke with my son as if he was a peer and not a child and explained everything to him. The shop also repaired the parts on the old frame that none of the other bike shops were able to handle. There's a nice selection of bike parts and gear as well, which is rare these days.

Just passing through KC and needed some bike repair. This bike store was more than friendly, helpful and provided fast and great service. If I lived here-- they would be my bike shop! John was very thorough and put my new bike rack in my car and got me on my way. I felt confident and very happy I'd found this shop! Highly recommend them!!
