I would definitely give this place a 4.5/5 stars. Stopped in for a coffee, and it was amazing. Everyone was so polite and the establishment was clean! Much larger space than I was expecting. Was a bit noisy, but not unbareable. The only reason I did not give a 5 star review was because it took 10 minutes to get my coffee.

Let me start off with, I really wanted to give Bean Counter Cafe 5/5 stars, but, in my heart of hearts, I knew that wasn't a fair assessment of my first encounter with The Bean. In the middle of old downtown Blue Springs located on a corner of Main Street next to a Pizza Shop, Bean Counter Cafe is a beacon shining in a semi-desolate small downtown. It is obviously local, a small mom and pop business, with not much street appeal. However, once you're inside the surprisingly spacious coffee shop and cafe, you'll find yourself wanting to stay awhile. It's not incredibly "homey," but it's bright and airy and has some random elements of decor. You can tell decoration isn't where the owners put all their thought into, that's the food and drinks, and they are simple but delicious. Think sandwiches of all kinds, breakfasts, and salads, as well as a variety of coffee beverages. I feel like this is one of the cafes where everything on the menu is tasty. I had to go with my third choice, a warm turkey sandwich with granny smith apples, fresh basil pesto, and melted sharp cheese. But, I wasn't in the slightest upset with my "lunchbox" style sandwich. All in all, the experience at Bean Counter Cafe was a fun off the beaten path adventure, but there were little hiccups along the way. They were out of a few menu items, and our order originally did get switched around, we received one of the sandwiches we ordered twice instead of getting the two separate ones we ordered. I'm pretty sure our order got mixed up with the table next to us, but it was easily fixed. If I ever find myself close to this charming cafe, I will stop in again because, overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I LOVE to support local.

Came here after the hiatus between the old cafe located in the Village gardens, where it was once located, and now in it's current location. I am pleased with how large and nicely the Bean Counter and it's owners have made with their new location. It is always packed whenever I stop by, and I finally had a chance to check out their new place. It is accommodating for a place to sit with your laptop if you would like, yet with how busy and noisy it gets I am not sure how productive it can be.My husband and I both enjoyed their southwest omelette, yet if memory serves we both felt it was a bit smaller than what it was before, yet still just as tasty. We will have to come back and try from their now larger menu.

I recently had the opportunity to visit The Bean Counter, a charming mom and pop shop located in Blue Springs, MO. Overall, my experience was great, but there were a few negative aspects too.One thing that immediately caught my attention was the interesting and tasty food options available at The Bean Counter. Their menu boasts a variety of dishes that go beyond your typical café fare, providing a refreshing change of pace...for example, the turkey and apple sandwich - that's not 'normal' and we like not normal!! As a vegetarian, I was pleased to find that they offer a good selection of vegetarian options, which is often hard to come by in many restaurants. The creativity and thought put into the dishes certainly elevated the dining experience.Another aspect worth noting is the cozy and welcoming atmosphere that a true mom and pop shop offers. The Bean Counter's intimate setting exudes a sense of familiarity, and the friendly staff also contribute to the warm ambiance, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. There were a few downsides to consider. One aspect that I found a bit disappointing was the price point. The Bean Counter's prices seemed to be on the higher side, especially when considering the portion sizes. While the food was undoubtedly enjoyable, the quantity received did not always justify the price paid. This could be a deterrent for those on a budget or those seeking a more substantial meal.Another notable drawback - this place was LOUD, particularly when it was busy. The bustling atmosphere may appeal to some, but for those seeking a quieter dining experience, it can be quite overwhelming. Conversations could be challenging due to the high volume, making it difficult to fully enjoy the company of your dining companions. I'm not sure there's an easy/cheap way to fix this for the owners, though. It was a bit hard to figure out where the Bean Counter is actually located (although I know they recently moved to this location), but I'm sure they'll get more signage up soon.Overall, we did have a great experience, and I would recommend this place, especially if you visit in off-peak hours!

I don't eat here often, but I'm always so pleased with my meal when I do. The food is always so tasty and fresh. It's one of the things this restaurant boasts about, and they're not wrong. I've never had a bad meal, whether breakfast or lunch. The service is quick. They give you a number and bring it out. Pretty simple. You can tell the employee enjoy working here, and that's great to see! The location of this restaurant is perfect for exploring DTBS. The restaurant is very cozy and perfect when it's rainy out. It reminds me of older diner's in the early 2000s. I wish I could bottle that feeling!

I am so glad this place relocated and are open! They have great food and coffee. My favorite thing to get there is the blueberry lemon French toast! I really enjoy their seasonal latte's and their hash browns! If you do not come early on the weekends there may be a little bit of a wait but they are very efficient and the coffee comes very quickly to help the time pass by. It feel homey and I really appreciate the large coffee bar and local pictures on the wall. So happy to have a local breakfast joint in the area!!10/10 from me:)

Remember the old Bean Counter cafe inside of Colonial Gardens? They have FINALLY reopened at a new location on Main St in Downtown Blue Springs! Woot woot!As expected, the food is fresh and homemade. Both breakfast and lunch are served along with an arrange of coffee of speciality drinks. They don't yet have a drink menu printed - but that's coming soon. I opted for a bear claw and house latte (similar to a cinnamon dolce). The latte was delicious and the bear claw - oh my! Butter, flaky and filled with a cinnamon streusel mixture, it was to do for! The hardest part was making up my mind what to have!Cannot wait to go back and try all the other delicacies!

Get a drink skip the food. The beverage menu had a tun of options and the elderberry refresher was good. The person that took my order was sweet but did know the ingredients in the dishes. I ordered the Michele, avocado toast with eggs. It was not seasoned at all, and I couldn't find a salt pepper shaker to save my life. It does have a cute atmosphere and lots of options. Might be a grope place to meet for coffee.

I came in this cafe with my Son and his family. The inside is a diner. There were many tables for seating. The employees were very friendly and efficient. Bean counter cafe was very clean. We all ordered something different. All the food was delicious. I wish I had room for some of the great Looking danishes. If you are looking for a place to eat breakfast and lunch this is the place.
