Baxter's Coffee and Donuts

Ok so I've been trying out new to me donut shops as I'm not happy about Lamar's pricing. So I've gone to a few other donut shops but haven't been that excited about many of them. That's also true for other shops that are rated highly and have had some glamour shots done to make them look the best. Now all that said, I'll be coming back here routinely. Donuts are as good as Lamar's, and cheaper. We went in and the dude said we only have what you see left on the shelves as they were hit pretty hard early in the morning (as donut shops routinely are). We picked out 12 different donuts and were happy about all of them. Really there were maybe 2-3 that we probably won't order again as they were fine but not as exciting as the other 9-10. The building is well marked with enough parking. We got thru the line quickly, and the people working were nice enough to us as new customers......so we will return.

We liked the donuts at temp stop back when Ridgewood was doing them and were excited when they announced Baxter's. We have been several SEVERAL times since it opened so I can review a lot of the donuts we have tried. We LOVE long johns at our house filled with Bavarian cream. These are filled to the brim in an obnoxious way. There is literally no donut so one day I grabbed a plain one and it was hollow with no donut. I paid almost $3 for air and icing. The filing is so full also and it's so hollow you put your finger through every time but they don't fill their Boston creams near as much. However their yeast donuts are usually really good so we have begun opting for those. The cake donuts are hit and miss. Somedays they are good and others dry. We didn't care for the Mochi ones and have had some great ones other places on vacation so I was sad about that. I LOVE cruellers and theirs are pretty good but the icing is always wet and they are a mess to eat. I still get them because they are good, just with extra napkins. When it comes to their biscuits and gravy they are pretty good and always generous with the gravy. I haven't tried any other hot foods. They have a great selection of drink choices but feel they are missing the mark on some of the coffee. If I get a drip the cup is so full I spill it trying to get the lid off to add cream, but any fancy drinks they don't fill the cup. I do love all the sugar free flavor options though so please keep that up. They also have a huge selection of bottled beverages which is great. The coffee is ok, not the greatest but it's nice having options closer to home. Bottom line is we will go occasionally for a quick need but I will drive for others when I can.

I don't know what happened today. If it was me or not. But I had the best apple fritter I've ever had. When I do do it shops that's one of my go to items. Most places are about the same. But today.....Baxters did it. I dont know who made the Apple Cinnamon confection today but they must have been in a great mood. It was light and fluffy and moist. Super "cinnamony" and perfectly sweetened. Literally the best fritter I've ever had. So light I did t feel weighed down. Maybe they just changed the grease. Idk. Definitely a taste bud win!

Delicious donuts!! All the donuts were still available even in the afternoon. Great workers they were so friendly and helpful! Went for the 2-5 half off drinks and they were so helpful on telling me which drinks were on sale.

Great donuts! A coworker brings donuts to the office every Thursday and this week she changed from the usual donut shop and brought a box from Baxter's instead. All the donuts we got were yeast donuts. I tried a glazed twist, cinnamon sugar twist, vanilla frosted long John, and a German chocolate long John. The German Chocolate donut was delicious! I've seen this type as a cake donut before, but never as a yeast donut. By the time I got to the office there was 1/3 of a German chocolate left, so I'm assuming it was a long John or large bar shaped donut. I would definitely get this again. I had a couple bites of the glazed twist and sugar twist throughout the day and really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar twist. I did notice that these were pretty dried out by the end of the day, though, as people cut bites off of them throughout the day. The vanilla iced long John (white icing) is not something I've tried before, but there was a whole one left at the end of the day, so I took it home for dessert. Even though it hadn't been cut into at all, it was starting to get a bit dry and stiff by 8pm at night, so these are definitely best eaten as soon as possible. If you're a fan of coconut, try the German chocolate!

Oh my goodness!!! My favorite place for coffee and donuts. Friendly staff, ample and comfortable seating, as well as phone charging stations. The coffee menu is extensive and the flavor is amazing. They also offer their half-priced coffee drinks from 2:00 to 5:00 daily. It doesn't get much better than this, unless you add an apple fritter to your order. Then you have pure bliss!

Lovely donut and coffee shop. The bathrooms are clean. The coffee is good. I had their house blend with cream. Their donut case is huge, selections of cake and raised donuts, danish and turn overs. I was overwhelmed by the selection and variety.They also offer breakfast sandwiches, and Biscuits and Gravy until 10:30 am. Plan to go back on Saturday with Mr. G. for Biscuits and Gravy.Friendly staff that are very attentive.This place is a sweet lovers haven. As well as donuts and pastries, they have fudge, cotton candy, and jelly belly jelly beans.They also have a nice cooler selection of pop, energy drinks, Gatorade, water, milk and juice fir those non coffee drinkers.Some indoor seating. I got my coffee roll and coffee to go. They have a drive thru too.So glad this place has finally opened. I will be back.

So so so good - finally!! A close and fresh source for French crullers !!! My absolute favorite donut ever. You can also order online in advance since they shelves clear quickly. The staff are super nice and patient since I've never seen a Baxters menu before and even provided recommendations for their favorite stuff there. They sell fudge and breakfast sandwiches, too. This place is only up the street from me and is now the closest donut/coffee place to my house. I'm just happy to find that they had milk alternatives available - calling all lactose intolerant coffee babes! We've been heard. I'll get more photos soon since I'll obviously be living here part time.Jan 2nd 2023 update: donuts are still great but they've stopped making crullers :( I dunno if it's just high demand or they can't keep up with the machine? I don't know. Also the staff seem to be struggling pretty bad to make lattes accurately. I came in with my brother and they got both our drinks wrong. I came back and had to have them remake it because I do have a dairy allergy and they seemed happy to remake it but the second drink - while dairy free - wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a toffee latte and was handed a sugar free vanilla. I can definitely taste the difference and when I got home I wasn't able to finish it because I really dislike sugar free vanilla. I am keeping their rating at a 5 because I desperately want them to have a great start - I will return and possibly attribute their mistakes today to just having a super over busy day after the holidays passed through. If after a few more visits the issues remain the same I will update the official review. Additionally I had mentioned before that they have an online order option but upon further inspection found that it's very limited to manager specials and requires many days in advance notice. I can't order crullers even in advance? I dunno it just seems more catered to businesses rather than individuals. I'll keep ya posted! Crossing fingers they bring back crullers.

Wonderful donuts! You can get sandwiches her too. This place is even open till 7pm on Saturday. We got here at 3pm on Saturday. Being that this is our first time coming to this location, I thought they would be sold out, but as you can see from the pictures, they weren't! There's plenty of seating space, and it's very clean. The workers were very friendly as well.

Thanks Baxters! Stopped here while working on the area to cool off and grabbed an ice coffee. Manager is so friendly and helpful with making recommendations. Always want to add that you can tell the energy between the team is good and they were happy to be at work which was nice to see. We went with their new Frescas & a cold brew. Both Yummy! We needed up ordering round two before we left. How could we not, it was happy hour still, 50% off! Def coming back to try the doughnuts .. they were huge!
