Bawarchi Biryanis

Simply the best Indian food I've had in KC. I'm a big fan of hakka noodles of late, a dish littered with veggies and savory noodles. There's always enough for leftovers, which who doesn't love?The biryanis have always been consistent and tastey with a good amount of heat and spice. And as always with my orders at Bawarchi I must have a samosa! Just don't forget the sauce and chutney! This location has pretty large swings of busy times and lean times but I've found service to be consistently friendly.Till next time Bawarchi!

This our first experience in an Indian restaurant. We didn't know what the spice levels were, it would be nice if they would put a couple of flaming fire emojis to let us know the heat level. I ordered the Chicken Biryanis mild and my wife ordered the Chicken Tandori, we ordered the lowest spicy available but received the opposite and put it out us it tears. The only saving grace is as the garlic Naan. Not spicy at all rather tasty. Though we were the 2nd couple in the restaurant the food came about out 30 minutes later. Beautiful presentation (to spicy for us). After eating there we check the the restaurant reviews in Yelp and we were not impressed. We may go back there after learning more about Indian food. The waitress was surprised when we asked questions on the menu on the level of spices, and she suggested what we ordered. We found out later that the chicken Marsala would have been a better choice. Next time. Remember fire emojis to reflect the heat intensity.

Well, this is a south Indian restaurant, which specifically focuses on south Indian cuisine although it's a chain every restaurant has its own taste. Initially, this place was really good, but slowly we have started to see the food being spoiled within an hour of bringing it home. When you go to the restaurant, I need food. They have a great ambience and good service but when you're planning to get food home that's where things go. Really really bad. Literally no customer service.

Being new to Kansas City, my mission to find good eats has not stopped and today I have been blessed with a gem.Big flavors and a menu that is FULL of items... I have not counted but I would guess that it is well over 50 different choices. I had the Mutton Mandakini. My dish came out hot and inviting. This creamy, spicy plate of love was everything I was craving and more. But this place has a secret. It has every biryani recipe you could ever want but better yet it comes in a family sized bucket if you so desire.The Thali, the noodles... everything was the same level of perfect presentation and absolutely spot on with the spice level.The restaurant is perfect for your big party, date night or like me... a quick business lunch. It has everything including the best service and music you could ask for. I am so elated that I found my new happy spot.Do yourself a favor... if you love your Indian food and these cravings cannot be quenched by average preparations done big batch style and kept warm in a pot... you must try this Indian paradise.

Service is extremely slow. Be prepared to wait atleast 30ish mins to get your food- whether you order online or dine in. The food also looks better than it tastes - you may want to try other Indian restaurants in the area. They're super inflexible with substitutions. Overall- wouldn't recommend!

Made the effort/took the time to download the app, and order three hours in advance, to only arrive 10 minutes before I was to pick up my order and be told that they had just received my order. Then had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my order finally came out... Very frustrating/disappointing.

Absolutely loved it here! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Food was delicious - some of the best Indian food I've had.

Absolutely delicious food!As today is Diwali, I wanted to get some Indian food, but understandably most places were closed. Bawarchi was one of the only places open, and as I'd heard lots of good things, I decided to order to go.Let's start with the Gobi Manchurian - delicious, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. The Gobi (cauliflower) was crispy and yet soft, and the medium was the perfect level of spice without overwhelming chili. The Vegetable Hakka Noodles were a little salty, but otherwise pretty good! The Gulab Jamun - my absolute favorite Indian dessert - was perfect. The jamun were just the right amount of soft without falling apart, and the syrup just the right amount of sweet.I was a bit disappointed because I had also ordered a mango lassi that never came. I'm not sure if this was an error on UberEat's part, but I also didn't receive any utensils even though my receipt clearly said to include them.Overall, I'm really glad I got to try this place and would love to come by in person one day!

Food was SUPER OILY with whole spices still in it, made eating very uncomfortable. There was a small piece of gravel in my wife's dinner. Samosa was average. Ambience was ok, service almost nonexistent. Will not return. Hard to believe this is a chain or how it is still in business.

Tandoori baby chicken, a weekend special, came out sizzling and smokin hot! Was fall apart tender, deliciously spiced, and more than enough meal for one person My partner got the goat biryani. It tasted very good. It came out quite a bit later than my chicken, we were worried they forgot about it. Other than that, service was great, it's nicely decorated, and we will be back.
