Basil & Bourbon

The food was great the one time we ate there. We have stopped to try it again twice and the last time we waited at the hostess stand and waited 20 mins to be seated with almost no one in the restaurant. Hostess said hello and then walked to the back of the restaurant The final time was we were seated and were not waited on, drink or food order even taken for 25mins. We just left.

I had the cheese and bacon sandwich which was excellent! They had a good assortment of drinks and change them up to match their new menus. If you like bourbon or whisky this is a beautiful little restaurant in Boliver. Highly recommend!

The service is AMAZING and they don't stop refills until you leave. The food is the best I've had at any restaurant and is always very fresh and ALWAYS delicious. If you think you won't like a menu item please think again! These folks are professionals in pairing foods together and you just can't go wrong here.

This place is beautiful! We were waited on by Trinity, who was exceptional. What an amazing server; she was here for the Valentine's shift that was SO full of patrons, and she absolutely nailed it. The fried olives were fantastic, and we could not stop drinking the Harvest Sour bourbon cocktail. Can't wait to come back!

Food was amazing!! Service was great and that building is so beautiful I want to live in it!

Went with a family group. Ordered many different things, almost all were really good. There are. To many decent restaurants in Bolivar, sorry. This place is one of the best. Good cocktails too! And not expensive. There were 7 of us, all had appetizers, drinks, entrees, and dessert, bill was ~220. Very good value. Hubby and I went back one evening just for a nightcap and a fun conversation with the owner-bartender. Check it out!

The food was amazing - the fried chicken sandwich was a great recommendation. The chicken fingers were also great. We went during off hours, about 2:00, which was perfect for our three young children. Staff were so kind and accommodating of all our special requests, including grilled cheese not on the menu. The strawberry mango salsa was to die for, and I think the chips were homemade??? Overall, the food, establishment, and staff were all amazing! And, to top it off, the kindest couple paid for our party of six (if you're reading this, a huge thank you to you)!

It is not a quality place, the food is lousy, it would gag maggot. You can't rely on the hours they're never open consistently. I don't recommend them. I give them one star. I have to put that in here because sometimes it gives them three stars when I'm only giving them one. And they're expensive

Wish I could give it TEN stars! Beautifully decorated in an old building di atmosphere is great. The food was awesome, service superb. If you're in Springfield, Mo it is WELL WORTH the drive!
