Barry Road Park

Yes I do recommend going to this park. They have a great park and they have a great place that you can have lunch and play, but if it's too cold, you can't go, but if it's just the right temperature you can go so umm there's a bunch of swings there and a bunch of fun stuff that you do and it has a slide and you can go there anytime it's great for your kids. It's great for your family and friends. You can hang out and so much other things that you could do at a park I recommend everyone going to this park thanks!!!!!! :)

The KC smart runners meet here typically on Saturday mornings. They have a large following so get here early to park. If the lot is full there is a lot across the street. There are few options to run from this park to find running routes. There also seems to be a big tennis following here. When we get back from the long runs there are several people at the tennis courts.

We love this park very much, but it is starting to look a little run down. It feature two climbing play grounds with a rubber floor. The rubber floor has chunks missing and the paint on the north play set is chipping and it is rusted. It also has a great swing that my toddler and I can swing in together. We pretend we are planes. The park also has several tennis courts, a picnic pavilion, and a small walking path. On a hot summer day we like to stop at the Sonic around the corner for a cherry limeade.

This park was pretty quaint, but I have no complaints about that. Sometimes bigger places like Penguin Park are slightly overwhelming. There were two different play grounds, one geared towards smaller children and one for older kids. What looks like hard ground is actually a softer type of foam so that if someone falls they aren't hitting cement. The park was really clean and had several benches as well as tables. It wasn't overly crowded and it was a good mix of age groups when we went! I would definitely recommend this park! Only draw back is the parking lot is a little small and the drinking fountain wasn't working!!

This park is decent and well-maintained. It feels way too new and suburban for my liking, but you must consider the location in kansas city, north. It has a nice set of covered picnic tables and adjacent playground area-- good for family gatherings with small children.

Very nice modern playground not far from the interstate. Several covered picnic tables if you want to enjoy a picnic lunch while traveling through on vacation. Lost one star because it only had a port a potty for a restroom, however, it was fairly clean for a port a potty.

Pretty typical park. Kids had fun. No bathrooms though. There was a porta potty by the parking lot.
