My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day. All the food was delicious. We had the sweet potato hummus, the peta was always warm and soft. The mocktails were made with excellence. He got the pimento cheese burger and I got the duck. We enjoyed both but the duck was very tough, to say the least. I recognized all ingredients were fresh and appreciated that. The atmosphere was excellent, comfortable and yet sophisticated. But our waiter spent a lot of time at the bar throwing back drinks. We'd go here again and overall enjoyed our night.

Food and service are always top-notch. I usually dine alone so I typically go early to get a seat at the bar. Frances is a consummate professional and makes a mean drink.

Grabbed dinner at the Barred Owl while in Columbia. We had a reservation, and I'm glad because it was busy when we left. We ordered a round of cocktails - I got a pickle martini and it was delicious! We shared the croquettes - they were perfect. I had the steak and potatoes - it was my favorite main dish on the table. My husband got the burger, it was also very good. One of my friends got the duck, and I felt like it was dry. The pork chop came with some amazing potatoes - that was the star side dish. My favorite thing of the night was the cider cake. It was AMAZING. Service was great. Would definitely go back when in town

When in Columbia this is MUST STOP! It's a great menu and drink selection. The service is great! I always look for the seasonal choices with the freshest options. They have a carnivore forward menu but they are vegetarian friendly for me too! It's a well balanced option for a group or a date night!

My husband really wanted to come here for their impressive cocktail list, which included his favorite cocktail, Paper Plane. Drinks did not disappoint including their non-alcoholic selection - they had shrub & clubs. I was deciding between Cherry-Lime and Peach-Szechuan Pepper, and the waiter explained the Cherry-Lime was a bit sweeter so I opted for the latter - it was my perfect drink of slight peach flavor, and Szechuan pepper was more like a undertone flavor. I got the spicy pepper cilantro lime shrub for my second drink - very heavy on the vinegar. For starters we had milk & honey bread (bread warm and sooo pillowy, bone marrow butter was top tier), blistered shishito peppers (there were a couple of peppers where the salt wasn't equally dispersed so it was just a salt bomb with some bites, otherwise good), vegetable fritto misto (table's favorite - battered and fried veggies). I ordered the rainbow trout for the entree. Fish was really good, perfectly cooked, but the absolute star of the show was the red pepper purée it was served with. I've only done roasted red pepper purée as a pasta sauce but will def steal their idea and make it with fish at home. For dessert we ordered sticky toffee carrot cake - a mix of my husband's favorite dessert and it did not disappoint. Everyone loved the food, service was fast, cocktail list extensive. A must stop by in Columbia.

Easily the best dinner we had in Columbia. While the dining room can be a bit on the louder side, we found that it was not distracting. The room is very nice and bar area is beautiful. We noted a nice outdoor patio as well when entering. We had a reservation and were seated promptly and had a great server. We tried several appetizers, and all were good. Don't pass on the milk and honey bread, with a standout bone meal flavored butter. Another delicious app were the Gnudi, tender and nicely prepared. I had the Rainbow Trout as a main course, and it was delicious. Our server said it was locally caught, and I'll say perfectly cooked. The Waygu steak entrees were also great. Everybody in our party was happy with their food.Craft cocktails to start were also delicious. Nice wine list but the real surprise was the extensive list of Amaro's at dessert. Do check this place out, you will be glad you did!

From the ambience, service and down to the food, everything was an amazing experience! I highly recommend their scallop dish or anything with pork belly. Their bar is absolutely amazing as well if you're into cocktails. They have many different ones as well as wonderful bourbon and scotches that are truly spectacular. Don't miss out, check this place out!

It was a nice brunch. The place is nice, and gives you a cozy feeling. Food took a while to get to us but it was good. Shrimp and grits were tasty but if you are really hungry probably won't be enough, so in that case consider the sliders which ended up being huge.
