One of my favorite places to shop for salads, tortillas, meat, seasoning and produce. I've been shopping here for years and was on this side of town so I decided to stop in to explore and pick up a few things. Highly recommend shopping here.

Did you say Mexican food for Christmas eve dinner?? Ok well you better make sure and bring the best flour tortillas ever!!Deal that requires a trip here!!! I was so excited to see that they were just switching from corn to flour tortillas when I pulled up. Got the second dozen off the conveyor belt. If you're in the area you have to stop by and watch this magic live. Plus, they really are the best tortillas. We love their tomatillo

Typically I do my grocery store at a downtown market, as I am irresponsible with money and value convenience over dollars. HOWEVER, I am trying to change. Step one? Find a new, somewhat nearby grocery store. And that is how I ended up at this particular Sunfresh. And I dig it. This is a grocery store clearly geared towards a Hispanic population. When I visit this store, I feel like a cultural anthropologist. OK, that might be somewhat hyperbolic, but I definitely felt like I was having an adventure of discovery. The produce section is chock full of fruits and vegetables that i had never even heard of. The meat counter has all kinds of cuts I'd never found at my regular store. They have a giant tortilla making machine! Let me put it this way, I really enjoyed my trip to this store! Who knew grocery shopping could be so much fun!But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. They also didn't have a few things that I regularly like to buy. For example, no muenster cheese makes me a sad Yelper. Also, I expected the prices to be a bit lower. Honestly, I don't feel that I saved all that much money. Certain items were in fact noticeably more expensive. Ultimately, this is a grocery store, so it's not a place I'd say you HAVE to visit. But if it's at all in your area, I say stop in and check it out. Oh, and they sell pinatas. You're welcome.

This sunfresh isn't the best in town as far as fresh produce goes (I'd say the one in Westport is better as far as that goes). I tend to get my produce from local mom and pop shops or farmers markets but sometimes you just need to grab something real quick. Even though this location is lacking on their fresh produce selection, their selection of Hispanic product is amazing (most likely due to demographics), but regardless this is one of my go to places for Hispanic products! They almost always have what I need when I'm putting together my traditional home made Mexican dishes! Specifically when I'm making flautas or tacos tapatillos they have the perfect pre made thin tortillas, Perez. You can find them in the cold fridge section by their chip aisle. These tortillas are the perfect ones to make fried rolled tacos they do not break on you and they're thin and come out crispy and just right!

This is a neat store because of the Hispanic emphasis. It's great that this area now has a sizeable, clean, modern store. This store gets 5 stars because it really is as good as it gets in the immediate area.Apparently a similar store might be built in downtown KCK, a few miles northeast.http://www.wyandottedailynews.com/news/grocery-store-attracts-interest/

It's great that they finally built a decent grocery store on this side of town but why so small? It is dedicated to English and Spanish customers thru products and signs but crammed into half the size of a Johnson County grocery store. Every time I have good intentions of shopping for a few items. Then find myself wanting to run to the check out to Check Out of this place. Not one to be claustrophobic but I believe this store can challenge even the smallest of fears you may have. Hey forget under the bridge haunted places. I'll just come here for Halloween (Saturday & holiday, ahhhh!)
