Ballet North provides classical ballet training for a reasonable cost. This is not a dance school that teaches multiple styles, so don't expect to come here to learn jazz, hip-hop, or ballroom. This is ballet. As your student gets older they will incorporate modern and tap to expand their skill set and repertoire. However, multiple competitions and expensive risqué costumes are not what they do. They teach respect and responsibility in their curriculum. This ballet school really tries to nurture the whole child. You can expect your tuition to increase as your child moves up in classes, but they always provide advanced notice before the increase (which is in the summer) so there are no surprises. Costumes for the annual performance can get expensive, but it is only once a year, so you have time to budget for it. The teachers are kind and supportive. I really like how they cultivate the older students as mentors in teaching the younger kids. One last thing: it doesn't matter your agility, coordination, or dance 'talent'. They welcome all skill sets and encourage growth for everyone who attends.

My daughter loves attending ballet North & learning classical ballet! Other then KC Ballet they are the only classical ballet school in the KC area, believe me I check! :-) The teachers as well as the owners are awesome. I love that they communicate with you, not all dance schools do that. I also love that the students are truly learning the correct ballet techniques, terms & etc. I am very picking & I don't have any compliant s about this school or their teaching methods.
