Art Experience

I had a GREAT time here last night. This was definitely not a paint by numbers kind of a class. We were very much challenged to go beyond our comfort zone and find our inner artists. Alcohol helps with that. It's a fun experience. Richard is was really friendly and funny. I laughed as much as I painted. The space is ideal for getting the creative juices flowing, the whole room is like a piece of art.

We booked a painting class for my Dads birthday this month and had SO much fun here. Richard was amazing and made even the most artistically challenged people (like myself) feel like a pro. The atmosphere was super laid back and fun and they plenty of time for wine and snack breaks throughout the session :). Richard also won some bonus points for letting us raincheck on two tickets. We were supposed to have 7 ppl at the class and 2 were unable to attend last minute. We fully intended to eat the ticket prices since they reserved those 2 seats for us, but he was super understanding of the last minute change and put the two tickets back on a giftcard for us without us even asking. It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back!

My friend and I have always wanted to try out a BYOB painting class and finally were able to last night. It just so happened that the class was a couples class, but Richard was happy to have us. We had a blast! We were the first to arrive and the last to leave after staying and talking to Richard ~30 minutes after class ended. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this studio!

Perfect place for a bridal shower or bachelorette party in Kansas City. It's something unique and fun your guests will remember! Even if you have no artistic skills, your painting will be beautiful. The instructors are very patient and good at explaining details and even helping you with your canvas if you want it.Location is perfect in the Crossroads Arts District and very convenient to downtown with free parking. The space is beautiful, bright, and will inspire you creatively. You don't have to be having a "party" to paint here. Their studio is open on Thursday nights for individual reservations too. They're starting to add more painting options and I believe if you're reserving a group, you can send them an example of a painting you want them to lead.Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks!

We had the best time imaginable!!! Being able to bring your own Food, Wine and Played our own music?! It was phenomenal!!! Threw a surprise Private Party with about 15+ people!! Our Instructor Richard was sooo much fun and kind! The day we scheduled, it happened to be his birthday!! So of course my entire party sang for him!!! We literally loved every minute of it! The Art Experience is definitely a place we will be returning to!! The decor inside will get you in the mood to become an Artist! lol Richard explained every detail when we were ready to begin, we had a lot of first timers and non painters but he made us feel very comfortable and made sure we had a good time!!! His helper Michelle was also very nice and very helpful! At times we knew she wanted to laugh at our paintings, but it was all in fun! THE BEST NIGHT EVER

This place was super fun, it was only my friend and I so the teacher easily could've canceled the class or been unexcited to have the class last night but he was great! He even did a little self portrait of me on my drawing! So much fun!!

I'm a terrible painter (downside of being a writer) and Richard has done an exceptional job to make me not only produce a painting that looks great, but also providing a fun and relaxing environment to do so in. I have taken over a handful of my "paint shy" friends to art experience and everyone has had a blast and left accomplished. Ricard has been doing this for decades and it shows. Please treat yourself to this experience!

Richard came to my office to lead us in a painting session for our annual meaning. I hadn't painted anything since high school, but this was amazing. He led us but also allowed for people's creativity to change things. He was chill and the experience was great for bonding.I loved it so much I think I might get some paints and canvas and try painting some on my own!

Made a reservation for a class, spent $70... No one showed up. Door locked, no one in sight. I really hope we can get a refund. How unprofessional!!! Zero Stars!!!!Edited to add one more star for a quick refund once their realized their mistake.

Had so much fun! Rich is really nice and so fun! Not only does he make complicated photos possible for the less skilled artist, but he takes the time to walk around to each person and assist!
