Slide at west end
Poorly power washed sidewalks.
Missing swing.
The bottom of the broken slide that hasn't been fixed for a while.
Plywood blocking a broken slide.
Jungle gym
Smelly garbage.

A fellow Yelper recommended we try out this park with our girls as she'd driven by several times and with the recent renovations it looked pretty cool from the street. It took me a minute to find it as apple maps doesn't have the most accurate pin point for this spot, BUT once we found it we had a great time. The park itself is on the smaller side of things but with that it was less busy, and both of our four year olds had a blast exploring and sliding down the big slide. The main reason it gets 4/5 is that as others have noted there are no restrooms. I get that it's more of a neighborhood park, so perhaps this is by design, but it does limit our time here and we inevitably had to depart for a restroom. Will we be back? Perhaps if we are in the area, but only if we are on an empty bladder.

This has been a fun park off Ward Parkway that my girls and I go to. There's a lot to climb on and explore even if it is a bit small. There is a glaring omission though -- a restroom of any kind. This means the average trip here is massively cut short by at least one person needing to head home to go.As my seven year old becomes more adventurous, it's fun to see her scurry around the nets, hanging upside down (even if she fell a few times), and bouncing all over the big slide with other kids. My youngest loves the Astroturf "slides" and there are also some other traditional slides. There are also attached ropes that are unique to this park so they can explore climbing in a fun way.One knock is there's a concrete slide that simply does fit in with the laws of physics. This thing goes straight down and lands onto another concrete slab. Against my best judgement, I did this with my youngest and let's just say my..backside.. is still feeling that one.But yeah, really wish there was a restroom, even a portable one, as it's a big drawback to the park to not have it.Kinda fun though, and I imagine it's ideal if you live within an easy walk of it. Find us here cruising around on the ebike and come say hey!

Busy park on Ward Pkwy.Lots of swings and a huge playground, this place gets busy with kiddos on a Saturday morning. We usually walk, but plenty of folks pull up in cars, there's lots of street parking nearby. Also a big grassy field and a water fountain to stay hydrated. This would be a great place to bring a picnic to, as there's lots of shaded seating.

Arno Park is in a great location. It has an open grassy area that isn't so big you'd have to worry about losing children or pets. It is very dog-friendly with a poop bag station and couple of garbage cans. It has a set of toddler and adult swings and a basketball hoop. It also has human and dog-friendly water fountains, plenty of table and bench seating and a play structure. My issue with Arno is that it's completely gone down hill since those old photos were taken. One slide had been blocked off by plywood with screws drilled in. One of the adult swings is missing. The water fountain was not on during the summer months. The basketball hoop is run down. It's been poorly pressure washed such that there are permanent marks in the concrete. They also don't refill the dog waste bags often. I have only seen a crew to clean the grounds a couple times. There are sometimes old diapers sitting on the ground. This park used to be nice and we still visit it weekly, BUT it needs a lot

A small park along Ward Parkway Boulevard, Arno Park features a swing set and playground, small basketball half court, and a field. The field is often occupied in the afternoon by children playing sports. Arno Park is quite pleasant with good shade, water fountains, picnic tables and a grill; the park is an excellent spot for a picnic.

The slide on the west end is too steep and the base is too hard when the kids come down. It needs a pad at the bottom so no one will get hurt.

Located along Ward Parkway (a road named by the American Planning Association as one of America's Great Places in 2012,) is the green oasis known as Arno Park. The park's many trees offer visitors protection from the harsh summer sun, its playground and field offers a activities for kids of all ages, but there are only a few picnic tables here so come early if you plan on using them.
