I came here on my birthday so excited to create something special with my family. My son had recently attended a camp here and so I was expecting it be enjoyable. I was worried about the high cost but figured the experience would be worth it. I felt there were many things that happened that could have been avoided with better planning on the owner's part. The place was extremely busy, which is fine. But if you are that busy and you have no pre-printed instructions on tables and only one staff person and the owner working, than most of our time was spent staring around in frustration waiting to see what our next step was and/ or trying to flag down a flustered associate for assistance. Several times, after waiting at least twenty minutes to get help, my husband went over and got paint himself ( there was no sign saying we couldn't) and while we were painting, the owner strides by and snippily questions us as to who got our paint and that we needed to prime first and it would most likely be messed up now. Ok, great. First and foremost, that instruction would be best presented ahead of time and in a kinder manner and chastising paying clients like they are toddlers isn't cool. We felt like we were annoying the owner every time we asked a question, we had no other option as there were NO written instructions presented. More staff, more instruction in a kinder manner, and less attitude from the owner would have really changed our experience. We liked our creations but the overall process and our experience at this AR Workshop North left a bad taste in our mouths and was a bad experience on my birthday. We will not be back and would definitely not recommend it.
