My Friday lunch partner and I have now been to AR's a couple of times over the past few months!Tucked back on the southeast side of I-35 and Santa Fe, the place inhabits a building that reminds of an old Pizza Hut or other low-rent restaurant from the 1980's. But, the access is easy and the parking is plenty!Walking in, the 80's-Pizza Hut-vibes continue, but it's clean and large. We had a booth on the North-facing windows both visits, and it was nice to have the access to light in an otherwise-dim dining room.80's vibes aside, the food here is really good! They have a larger-than-average menu, including all the normal hits, covering the gamut from sweet to savory and everything in between! Both meals I've had were tasty! The table service on both visits was fine, not great. Knowing they have big, chain competitors in more visible/attractive locations, this might be an area they could easily improve in to gain strong loyalty among locals. While the food was good, AR's hasn't quite cracked the "frequent visits" category for my breakfast buddy and me, mainly due to the facility and service. We'll keep it in our rotation from time to time!Food = 4/5Facility = 2/5Service = 3/5Ambiance = 2/5Value = 3/5

We are always up for trying new breakfast places. AR's has several options from traditional to creative. Some choices can even be made GF at an extra charge. They have two locations Overland Park and Olathe (where we ate).Something to note is if you use a card to pay, there will be a sublimental fee.The staff was friendly and helpful. And importantly patient with us while we viewed the menu, as it was our first visit. The ambiance is in transition from a couple previous mexican restaurants being at the Olathe location. They have done a good job updating. Their food portions are very generous. My husband had the Giant breakfast burrito.-A 12-inch flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and American cheese. Topped with bravo cheese and served with breakfast potatoes. The only issue he had with it was he said it needed more bravo cheese on top. I had the La Fresa Crepes, which were delicious. -Two homemade crepes, filled with Greek yogurt, topped with strawberry compote, strawberries, bananas, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. The crepes do not come with any sides. I ordered a side of scrambled eggs and a side of bacon. The side prices seem a little high, but you get a generous portion of them as well. We will definitely be back for breakfast and to try their lunch menu as well.

So this is located in a building that has had fast turnover in the past. It was packed by 10a on a Saturday, I sure hope this stays because the food was good!Ordered the fajita omlette, asked for no cheese. Got cheese anyway, and I ate it because honestly, after running the garmin 10k, I was hungry and I couldn't wait anymore. The omlette comes with bread of choice and potato or salad. I opted for no bread, as the only gluten free bread was a burger bun, and got the potatoes. Potatoes were great! And omlette was good too. About 3-4 oz of steak and the three eggs made for a really good portion.Waitress seemed to rush us out, she was fast to give checks and to clear the table. On our way out, we understood--people were waiting out the door for a Saturday breakfast!!! The menu looked really good and there's something for everyone. I got the cucumber marg and it was very refreshing and lovely as well.

AR's for my birthday! We enjoyed our brunch at this new(er) restaurant. Service was super fast and she was so kind and helpful.I will say - the "breakfast potatoes" were a significant disappointment. They were no more than average French fries cubes. I was hoping for a real breakfast potato because they're so yummy!!But now let's talk about their smoky red salsa! It was DELICIOUS! I'd go back just for that!We loved our leftovers the next day.TY AR's!

Disappointing Food, :((((( nasty bathrooms, Great Salsa Verde - AR Breakfast & Brunch (2/5 stars)I had mixed feelings about my experience at AR Breakfast & Brunch. While the server was incredibly kind and attentive, the food itself fell short of expectations. The overall quality was quite basic, and the coffee options were limited and underwhelming, relying on powdered cappuccinos instead of fresh espresso drinks. The tacos were average, neither bad nor particularly memorable. However, the salsa verde was a true standout! Made with fresh tomatillos, it was bursting with flavor and truly saved the day.Sadly, the experience took a major nosedive when I visited the men's restroom. It was dirty and unpleasant, leaving a negative lasting impression.Overall, I can't recommend AR Breakfast & Brunch unless you're specifically craving their homemade salsa verde. Otherwise, there are better options available for a satisfying breakfast or brunch.

This location a bit bigger then the OP, service was great, speedy, food is consistent. They have a gluten free menu which is what we order from and then split, we've had their breakfast tacos with bacon and peanut pancakes at both locations and they are top notch. I always ask for side of sour cream, this time they charged me 1.99 for a small side of it. Yikes! I'm good with paying extra, but that's a bit high. From 8-930am the sun is right in the eyes if you sit in front, no blinds etc. Private parking, easy access, Hispanic rap/pop music playing making the atmosphere lively.

OLATHE KANSAS!!! This must be your goto brunch spot. The outside of this restaurant does NO justice to the service and food you receive at AR's. Julo, was so attentive, respect and cool. He made our visit TOP TIER. The food was absolutely astonishing!!!! Every single bite we took today was 5 stairs. Definitely coming back.

Tried for the first time and overall good food, would come back to try other dishes butFood: We had the Cinnamon Roll Churros, Chorizo & Eggs, and The Giant. Food was good but The Giant should be called The Medium. Nothing giant about it, about every dish I saw coming out had more food on it than what you get in that! Drink: Wife got a Bloody Mary she enjoyed and all the cocktails we saw coming out looked good. Similar to other reviews, the coffee and coffee drinks are a big miss here especially since this is a breakfast place. Instant coffee and specialty drinks made from a machine like you would see at a hotel. Atmosphere: Lively atmosphere with fairly loud music. Nothing wrong with it, unless you are looking for a more quiet and chill place.

AR's is a definite MUST try! I really hope they make it in this location, as I've seen multiple restaurants come and go here. I had the Mexican skillet and it was perfect; I wouldn't have changed a thing! The potatoes were fried up perfectly, the veggies were fresh, and the chorizo was on point. My daughter got the Churro pancakes which were nothing short of heavenly. I will be back soon!!'

Nicely decorated restaurant, clean with friendly staff. The food was average at best. Pancake was tough, fried potatoes and sausage lacked flavor. Biscuits and gravy was tasty. Probably won't return.
