Last year my son who is now 4 would not go into a pool unless he was holding my hand and could touch the bottom. After 1 year of lessons he is swimming with almost no assistance in deeper water. He is comfortable jumping in and holding his breath underwater. Class sizes are small and the instructors are very good an communication after each lesson. They have programs for many ages and I would recommend it.

When calling and speaking to a manager about my daughters needs, I was told they would call back. A manager did. Instead of telling me my daughters needs were too much (which I would have appreciated way more). I was directed to come in and have my child color photos, hang out in the waiting room, and watch others swim. I was told to ask for this manager, I was directed "if I'm not busy I'll come say hi". "Once your child gets used to the waiting room more, we can talk about fitting you in". Like I said before, if they would have said "this is just too much for us" I would have appreciated it a TON more and gladly moved on. It makes me sad on how this was approached.

My son has been attending since February and has learned so much. The entire staff at Aqua Tots has been incredibly patient with my very eager to swim 3 year old, they would never guess he is shy with how comfortable he is with all the coaches (that truly says something for their staff). The staff is always so welcoming each time we walk into the door and really takes the time to get to know each student and what works best for them. Thank you Aqua Tots Olathe for everything you do!

Honestly, we've been pretty happy with the quality of instructors. However, the amount of behaviors Aqua Tots allows to happen during classes is becoming troubling. My daughter can hardly focus because most levels always have two students playing around putting hands on each other. The "deck supervisors" either do see the behavior and don't care enough to stop the disrupted class or aren't paying attention at all. Both excuses/reasons are a major safety concern and also unacceptable when classes only occur for once a week for $100 or more. This is not right to allow other students to have their learning and swimming disrupting that love swimming and want to be there to grow. Remove students that don't and are disrupting the class. Aqua Tots needs to sit those students out until it's their turn to do an exercise with the instructor. If it continues they need to walked out and go back to their parent until they stop disrupting the class. This is becoming a ridiculous circus, as it's happening too often in multiple classes.

I have been bringing my 4 year old for swimming lessons for about 2 months now. He really enjoys his lessons and looks forward to them. During this time he has become more confident going under water and floating on his back. His teacher is great and does a wonderful job making the kids feel comfortable. Only negative is that the lessons are only 30 mins, so when you split that between several kiddos, there's not much one on one time. I wish the classes could be a little longer.
