I was lucky to visit Anton's and get to try several different dishes! We had their filet (which was my favorite), ribeye, baked potato, Mac n cheese, shrimp scampi, Brussels sprouts, and potato latkes. All of the food was delicious. Our server was also wonderful and picked out a delicious wine for us - the Blue Rock Baby Blue blend that paired perfectly with our meal.

Came in for a drink after lunch at Lula's last month. My partner's always recommended this place, and after visiting I can understand why. We sampled the craft cocktail selection while chatting with the bartender, who was very patient and attentive. He told us about the area, his time there, and a few other places for drinks that we've yet to try. The drinks were under 50, tip included.

I was very disappointed with my experience this establishment. We came with a large group and our party was separated across the restaurant. I was seated at a table with 2 people. We asked if we could move the tables closer together to be with our party and was told no by our server, we started with the wedge salad and potato skins. The wedge salad was tasty but was not cut into a wedge as expected. The salad ratio was off with lots of purple onion and very little lettuce. The potato skins were crispy and served in a butter sauce with a sour cream dip. We split the bone in rib eye cooked medium rare. The first steak we were served was very tough and dry and we had to send it back because we could not chew it. They prepared a second steak for us that was better but still didn't seem to be a high quality cut of meat. They did make a custom margarita with mezcal which was my favorite item. When we got the bill, I noticed we had a $2 spit charge for the salad and 20% gratuity for being in a large party even though we were seated at a separate table of 2 no where near our other people in our party, I did request that the $2 split charge be removed as that seemed very petty on a $200 bill. For that price point I was expecting better quality food and experience.

Had dinner here before a show at the Kauffman. We always try to find a good place to eat that is within walking distance, so this fit the bill and we had been several times in the past and remember enjoying it. Turns out we had a very different experience back then. We were very disappointed with this visit. They offer casual dining and fine dining. I opted for fine dining when I made the reservation; however, when we showed up, our table was in the bar (casual dining) which wouldn't have been bad, except that it was right in front of the door. Our waitress was not very knowledgeable about the menu, but she was pleasant. The food was disappointing. At 5:30, they were already out of salmon, so our friends had to come up with second choices. I ordered the fish special and at $33, I was expecting more. The trout was not seasoned and the Brussels sprouts were not well cooked or seasoned. Hubby had the 1/2 pound burger and it was the smallest 1/2 pound burger we have seen. It's a shame they are missing the mark and I know we will not return when there are so many better choices out there.

I tried Anton's as a recommendation from a friend & I'd never been there so why not? The name doesn't do anything for me, but I wondered what type of steak house it was.Much to my surprise it has a great ambiance with a butcher shop downstairs that you can peek into(cow parts hanging everywhere). The menu has great, quality steak choices with The Best of meat cuts and delicious sides...I tried marrow for the first time...not something I ever have to try again.The server was accommodating and well versed on menu selections. It was quite busy the night I visited and the area I was seated in was tight...not my first choice of a table, but I made it work. I would definitely return when in the mood for a great steak dinner. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for and I'm all about quality food. Give them a visit!

8 people with appetizers. Everything came out separate at its own time. One person in our group didn't even get their sandwhich. It was not worth the wait or time. Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, or Outback Steakhouse is better and cheaper than this place. The waitress was apologetic but not above standard. We will NOT be back and upset we spent the amount of money and time that we did.

We left Anton's last night hungry and upset after dropping $210 on the worst dining experience and meal that we've ever had. We wanted to try this place to celebrate Valentine's Day because we are new to KC and the ambiance seemed nice from the window when we've walked by. Read the reviews and run!!To start, we ordered the beef tartare, shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, and bread service. My husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered a glass of wine. The Old Fashioned was the quality of something you'd order at a dive bar. The tartare and shrimp cocktail were pretty good, the bread was not fresh and it was stale (seemed 2-3 days old.)The salad came out next, we ordered a wedge. This was the worst salad I've ever had. It was not a wedge, but rather poorly dressed romaine hearts with red onions almost as big as the leaves of romaine. The "salad" was just soggy romaine with blue cheese, giant onions, and dry bacon. Our entrees took 45 mins-1 hour to come out. During this time, we asked our server for water several times and ordered a glass of wine each. The server did not fill up our water, but took care of other guests around us. The wine did not come out until 10 mins after we ordered. But the entrees.... the entrees were the worst.. I ordered the Lobster Scampi with carrots and my husband ordered a Ribeye with potatoes latkes and Bacon Mac and cheese. The lobster was GRAY. It looked, old and had no seasoning, my carrots were damn near raw, and my entire dish was cold. The Mac and cheese and Ribeye were also cold. The dishes had been sitting quite some time before they were ran, my husbands medium rare steak was medium well after sitting for so long and so dry. The latkes were delicious, and were hot, they were obviously the only thing that was not sitting and came out last. I was afraid that I would be sick from eating this obviously old seafood. When we explained this to the server her response was "well... I mean I went and looked for your food several times."We sent everything back but my husband kept the latkes and ribeye because he had not eaten all day and was starving. By this point we had been in the restaurant for two hours, and we did not feel like waiting another 45 mins for a mediocre dish. The server did not offer to make the dining experience right at all, and no manager touched our table. Our check was $210 and all I had for dinner was 3 shrimp cocktail, half an appetizer, half a salad, and 2 bites of ribeye. We ended up going to another restaurant after because we were starving.
