Ane Mae's Coffee & Sandwich House

Taking the back roads from OK to KS we stumbled upon Independence, KS and this cute little shop, or market of sorts. The service had that welcoming country vibe with coffee and fresh treats. Everyone was super friendly and the cold coffee and muffin was the perfect blast of energy to keep us pushing forward. Great little find!

Stopped here after a miserable fail fog a backpacking trip. Definitely the highlight of an eventful 24 hours. The decor was great. So many healthy and pretty house plants! Lots of vintage knick knacks. Loved the advertisement for mental health awareness as well. Coffee was fantastic. They had a ton of sugar-free flavors, which is hard to come by! I got sugar-free caramel iced latte. Not too sweet, it was just right. Breakfast burrito was pretty good. It tasted very fresh. I wish the peppers had been cooked longer as they were still a bit too crunchy, but overall it was tasty with the salsa. Wish I had some hot sauce to go with it; they may have served it at the restaurant but we took the food to go. Lots of cute merchandise. I got myself a crew neck to commemorate the memorable trip. Everyone was very friendly as well. Don't know the next time I'll be back in the area, but I'll definitely be visiting Ane Mae's again.

This is a cool place to eat if you are not a vegetarian or pescatarian. There are several areas within the building to sit. One room is great for larger groups. The pastry case has all sorts of yummy-looking sweets. Coffee lovers will enjoy that menu. As a vegetarian, I went with a salad and piece of vegetable quiche. Both tasted great.

Nice small-town cafe. Coffee is free with breakfast. Great service. Family atmosphere. Good prices - quality. One of the favorite places to bring my Dad. Understanding and friendly.

Stopped by for some coffee. Friendly staff and neat space. Lots of tables for lingering and other small local/artsy shopping available. Public restroom with baby changing table if you're in need.

I did indeed return this morning & decided on. Hazelnut Breve with an extra shot. Again, it was on point!!! Thanks for being my coffee place while in town.

Really good chicken sandwich! Good variety of tea, too. I'm gonna come back in and get one of their T shirts. Also, try out their latte.

Fantastic service and great chicken salad the blueberry muffins are amazing and pair nicely with Chi yea! The people are always nice and the place is always clean and pleasant!

I haven't had anything I didn't like! Breakfast or lunch, it's aaaaall so good. The employees are always so friendly and helpful.
