It blows my mind that people give an ice cream place a bad review. It's ice cream. It's a treat. Did you get it? Was it delicious? Then, give the place a great review. If you didn't have the best experience, ask yourself, was the place swamped? Did they appear to be short-staffed? Did it look like one employee was doing all the work because everyone else was still training? Then, please give them a little grace.I'm sorry that your Jackhammer took too long to come out and that your SO's ice cream melted while they waited for yours. But, if that's the worst part of your day, then count your blessings.BTW, the Andy's on 95th and Metcalf is the best in Overland Park. AND PLEASE BRING BACK THE BISCOFF COOKIE BUTTER CRUNCH.

Service was great. Outdoor space is fine. Didn't see any tables, but there is seating.I got the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer small.Overall, it was tasty but there was a peculiar taste--maybe the peanut butter is a brand I don't know? Not a deal breaker, I might order it again. Slightly extra soft for a custard, but it is kinda warm out so, perhaps that's slightly at play. That said, at about $7 plus tax for a small, I'd say it's pricy.

This place is always hopping when I come in. The parking lot is a bit crowded but it's worth it for this soft serve! My favorite thing on the menu that I have tried is the blended cream soda, I believe they call them old fashioned freezes. You can choose whatever soda you want to be blended up in them but I always go for their cream soda on tap! We also tried out the seasonal apple pie concrete, I was excited because it's baked daily but the concrete has a bit too much pie crust for me and not enough apple. Overall bbe prepared to wait but you won't be leaving unhappy.

I had a rough day on the road, and just needed a pick me up to turn things around. The manager Andrew, was a great guy and took care of this guy who needed custard in his life. Appreciate his kindness and the sweet latte treat.

We've purchased cartons of custard in the drive thru before and been very happy with wait time, friendliness of service and taste of the custard. However, two months ago we stopped to treat ourselves to Sundaes and had a horrible experience. My boyfriend and I placed our orders. His was ready first, it was obviously his before they called out what it was. So, he went to the counter and asked if it was his and the help was talking to a non-purchasing acquaintance and responded to my boyfriend that it wasn't his (we both heard her). When he stepped back to me she hollered from the counter, "well you might as well take it now. It's going to melt before her's is ready", nodding towards me. He was half way through his before mine was ready and it had vanilla custard instead of the chocolate I ordered. She seemed perturbed that I wanted it fixed and dumped it in the trash. I stood at the counter quite awhile while other orders were placed and filled and I was waiting for mine to be corrected and witnessed two more customers orders being prepared wrong and staff being rude to each other. When she finally gave me mine it didn't have the cherry on top that I look forward to and she stepped away from the window so fast that I had to raise my voice to get her attention to come back. I decided as long as I had waited, I wanted it right. Rather than just put a cherry on top she put several cherries (kudos?) in a small dish and set it on the counter next to my sundae and briskly walked away from the window again. I was more than irritated at this point and picked up the dish, poured the cherries on to my sundae and Very Firmly set the empty dish back down on employee side of the counter. It immediately flipped to the floor making noise. NOBODY was on that side of the counter at that point. Just a couple minutes later a very young man/employee stepped to the window and from a distance in front of other customers said, " I understand you threw something at one of my employees". I corrected him regarding the interaction and was so angry that he would call me out and accuse me like that in front of other customers that I was in tears. I told him he needed to review what happened on his cameras if he doubted me. He changed his tune at this point and tried to offer us more custard (not a refund, or gift card but more custard. Like we could take it home and eat it later? I couldn't even finish my Sundae I was so upset. So, rather than throw my remaining sundae in the trash I set it gently on the customer side of the counter so, they could see how much I left uneaten. I love Andy's but will NEVER go back to this one again!

What's dinner without the dessert? I promised my Overland Park friend and her husband that if they weren't too full from Burg & Barrell, we'd go to Andy's Frozen custard afterwards.Off we went. And definitely was my treat, especially when they got the check at the Burg & Barrell in Overland Park, KS that night earlier. We arrived here at Andy's Frozen Custard since it was nearby and wanted something to celebrate properly for my recent success in South Carolina, captured my 113rd marathon / ultra there on its trails and wanted to celebrate here with friends and a pint of traditional chocolate ice cream / frozen custard in Overland Park, KS. Same taste and texture, if you ask me. Not sure why they're called frozen custard, probably due to the ingredients used. Someone enlighten me on this. For the most part though, the experience here at Andy's Frozen Custard was purely a take out affair. My friend and her husband wanted to head home, so they pulled into the drive thru and ordered like it was McDonald's - or any other fast food joint. It was cute and funny at the same time. Ordering ice cream and other frozen treats thru a drive thru window. Can't complain though, ordering a lot of cool stuff thru a fast food window is what drives our economy! The overall experience here at this location of Andy's Frozen Custard in Overland Park, KS was typically good and okay. Being that we did the drive thru thing, there was very little action between the customer and the staff that took the order. We basically stayed in the car while they filled our order, much like virtually all who do drive thru ordering on a daily basis. We entered the queue around 8pm and was out by 8:10pm after paying for the order. We ended up finding parking at Andy's Frozen Custard to eat a few bites before heading back to the hotel to drop me off with my chocolate frozen custard, or was it ice cream? Regardless of that it's called, it was decidedly obvious it was deliciously dangerous. I managed to devour it within 15 minutes while watching television in my hotel room. It was that good indeed! The service was good, as mentioned before, but was very limited. It was cool that they do things quite quickly, like Starbucks but quicker. Andy's Frozen Custard is a regional store brand, which has locations in a bunch of states. Consider dropping by in Overland Park, KS for a bite of frozen delicious treats that fans of ice cream / frozen custard would enjoy immensely on a daily basis. If it was healthy to have ice cream, I'd have it everyday! 100% recommended if you are in the area and wanting to come for your daily fix. This Andy's Frozen Custard location I went to for the first time ever is situated at 9535 Metcalf Ave S in Overland Park, Kansas. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. It was a fairly simple process since we just ordered thru a speaker at the drive thru and 5 minutes later, we got ice cream! The restaurant seemed to be fairly large for the ice cream parlor that it is. As far as parking goes, there's plenty of parking here for anyone and everyone who wishes to come here for good, traditional, homespun ice cream and frozen yogurt. If you are the type that wants to use public transportation, consider the Kansas City Bus system to get you here once you're within the city limits, the Amtrak station, or even the KCI regional airport. Uber and Lyft is always at your disposal, should you need to. I know I had fun indulging in good chocolate ice cream purchased here at Andy's Frozen Custard in my hotel room. The ice cream was great but the company that night was even better. So, if you're in the area and craving ice cream, consider Andy's Frozen Custard if you're in the Overland Park, KS area. 4.0 stars for the overall experience, even though it was drive thru. 4.0 stars for the ambiance. Was lazy from dinner. 5.0 stars for the ice cream. 3.0 stars for the prices.Support local!B

They just had to open one of these closer to me! I Love the seasonal options offered here, quality of the custard and friendly workers! Can't seem to get away from the Triple Chocolate concrete as it has the smooth darker chocolate custard, bits of harden chocolate and chocolate chip cookie dough. You can't go wrong with making your own either. My other faves are the James Brown Funky Jackhammer, Nutty Waffle Crunch concrete or the basic Butter Pecan Concrete.

Really enjoy this place, always great ice cream and great service. However, I would not recommend ordering large shakes, they use the same amount of ice cream just put in a larger cup

I asked for the smallest cup, which is the small one. I told her at least 3 times that I wanted the smallest one. Well later I realized that they gave me the medium. I don't like they charged me more for a size I didn't order for.
