André’s Chocolates - Overland Park

Never knew Andre's offered a lunch menu! Seems like a well-kept local if you know you know type situation. Although, it is advertised online, on social media, etc. So, it could be just me. Anyway, a friend and I met up on a Saturday morning, around 11AM, and thankfully we snagged two seats at the side table/bar! We got some of the last seats before a rush of people came in. There was quite a long line the entire time we were there and even as we were leaving. Parking was also quite hard to find as it is limited and the lot is shared by the other businesses next door. All to say, come early! Their lunch menu included a main dish, 1-3 sides depending on the main, dessert, and a drink. Since it was cold out, I was in the mood for some tea. Their tea selection was more expansive than I expected. It was hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Raspberry Tea and would get it again! They also offered coffee, soda, and iced tea. I was recommended the Quiche Lorraine, which came with 2 sides. My sides of choice were the green salad and carrot salad. The quiche first of all was a huge portion, and honestly, I shouldn't have finished it but kept eating because it was that good. It wasn't undercooked or runny, and it wasn't overcooked or dry either. The crust, which I equally enjoyed, was flaky and had the perfect texture. The salad and carrots were a nice, refreshing addition to the quiche. For dessert, my friend and I shared two desserts: Napoleon - layers of flakey puff pastry with vanilla cream and whipped cream topped with pink fondant icing + Hollander (I believe this was the name) - almond cake with apricot jam in a butter cookie shell. We were too full to finish it all, but we enjoyed every bite. The store itself had a wide variety of chocolates, pastries, and other goods for purchase. Whether you're looking for someplace to grab lunch or buy sweets, I would recommend Andre's!

This is one of my absolute favorite spots in the area and always my first stop when I'm in town. I love that there is a new menu everyday and my favorites are brisket and vol au vent! The quiche lorraine is also always a good choice. My favorite sides are the carrot salad and green bean salad but most of the sides come with the same dressing that is creamy, tangy and amazing so they are all really good. You really can't go wrong with dessert but my current favorite is the napoleon. Service is always excellent. They typically have fun decorations and different sweets for every holiday and season you can purchase at the front.

There are so many yummy things to choose from in this store! It is really hard to leave without purchasing lots of goodies!I definitely recommend it!

I heard so many great things about this place, but I think the people must not be a chocolate Connoisseur like me. These chocolates did not taste any different than the chocolate in my local grocery store. The only difference was the high price tag and the small amount you get.

To call this a chocolate store, although it is a truly epic one, is doing it an injustice. André's is also a Swiss bakery and cafe that serves delicious cakes, pastries, quiche, coffee, soups, and daily specials for lunch.In the land of mega shopping centers, this store might get a bit lost. Oh, what a shame for you. A world class chocolatier does not drop into your town, ever. Yet here is one of the best on the planet. We make this a destination stop any time that we're in Overland Park. Or Kansas. Or the Midwest.They have a lot of frozen meals, soups, and quiches, to go. Their scratch made soups, on one of your very cold days, is soul satisfyingly joyful. The chocolates are the stars, for sure. Perfect sized, complex, each bite is a whole lot of happiness. Their pastries, cakes, and cookies are also just beyond.Service, likewise, is excellent. Parking is plentiful.

When I'm in Kansas City this is one of my first stops on arriving...and my last before l leave. My soft spot is the Rum Ball. I love them all but that one is amazing!

Oh the childhood memories walking up the hill from the plaza to Andre's for a treat. Yummmmm and 40 plus years later just as good. I no longer live in Kansas City, but I don't come to town and not stop at Andrea's for an Napoleon at minimum and their meringues are phenomenal. They will melt in your mouth. They also offer a really wonderful lunch and have a month-long menu that you can pick, what day/selection is best for you.

Wow, Andres is favorite spot for lunch. If you are looking for gourmet food and an exquisite experience and great service in a relaxing atmosphere; this is it! The menu offers a daily feature, their infamous quiche Lorraine, green salad with shrimp, comforting soup and more. Top it off with your choice of one of many delightful pastries! I can keep going on.....best to check it out for yourself:)

Such a limited menu needs to be a little more varied. There are much better places to get a quick lunch.
