Always & Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary

Always & Furever is, on the surface, an animal rescue that primarily focuses on saving older dogs. In reality, Always & Furever is the most amazing community of animal lovers I have had the pleasure to know. They helped to clean up a local pound, take on cats and kittens and board younger dogs who wouldn't fit in so well at the barn - all in the name of making sure each animals knows love. I have donated, volunteered and fostered for them. It's a great place to do all three! I can't speak to adopting there because I have my hands full in my current situation. That said, I've referred several friends and family to do so. They have all only had wonderful things to say about their experience. Once I am ready, this will be the first place I look!

Was turned down for adoption. They claim not enough past records on my last dog. Broke my heart I can provide a loving safe home for a dog

I really love that they focus on senior dogs- they need love too!! I adopted a senior pit bull a few months ago & have stayed in fairly close contact with them. They are thorough in their application process, which made me feel that they are definitely prioritizing the animals & making sure they are not only going to a safe home, but a forever home.

This is a wonderful no kill Animal shelter, specialized in taking care of senior dogs and providing a happily ever after. The facility and the treatment of the animals deserves 5 stars! The care provided to these doggos is almost magical! I highly recommend making the trip to this place because it's well worth it! They have dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments. Please support this 100% Non profit Animal Rescue! Fair warning however, the adoption coordinator Tricia Nolan Soulon and her customer service are absolutely unprofessional and childish. Tricia deserves only 1 star, for the soul reason she cares about the dogs. She does not care about providing you with accurate information. She cares about finding homes for dogs as fast as possible. She is not the person you want to work with to find the right match for you. There are many other workers who can help you and who are much more professional. I went to spend a couple of hours with a dog for a "date" and she basically conned me into taking him immediately, because she could tell I really liked him, and promised me that I would be able to train him and that she would help me if I needed it. Every time I reached out for help on the website or the Facebook she deleted my statements and comments and would not let anyone give me advice. She banned me from making any communications with anyone at the shelter. Over the week I fell in love with a dog who was too big and strong for me to handle. He accidentally hurt me several times and that was just his personality, not any fault of his. When I called to let her know I would be returning him, she blocked me, deleted me and was short, cold and absolutely heartless towards the situation she forced me into. I know that I knew I shouldn't take him right away and she covinced me otherwise. And I will take responsibility for being far too eager to be a dog mom. Tricia and, by extension, Always and Furever, never actually helped me in any way. Tricia Nolan Soulon is great at taking care of dogs, but when it comes to finding the perfect match and taking care of customers she has much to learn.

This is a truly wonderful no kill animal shelter. The facility's and care that the staff give is truly amazing. We traveled from Colorado to spend time at this shelter and was so amazed at the love and devotion that each team member did to insure the well being of the animals. Always and Furever always put the animals first. This is what makes them so amazing, you would be lucky to get a pet from them. This is the only sanctuary that pays for you to go to a hotel and spend the nigh/day with a dog that is struggling being left in a shelter. Some of the dogs just want to sleep on the bed and be loved. How wonderful this is for the animal. Thank you Always &Forever for putting the animals first. You work so hard everyday. If people really walked a day in your shoes they would truly understand how hard you work to protect all the animals.xxxxx

This foundation stole my family pet!!! Always & Forever Midwest Animal Sanctuary scammed my family!!Our girl " Kardee Henderson" went into labor whom had complications and we took her in to the emergency pet hospital, where we were advised that she needed an emergency C-section due to her canal being to small... This foundation agreed to cover the fee due to financials ("as long as we agreed to get our dogs spayed- my wife and Julie w/ A&F agreed that was okay") and surgery was started... We were then backed into a corner to either relinquish our rights or they would not cover the surgery, had we known Any of this prior I would have come up with other alternatives that the vet discussed. I really want to bring awareness to situations like this and those making any type of donations to this company!
