I got takeout via the Crossroads Foodstop... Wow. SO delicious. I had the Motherland Bowl with fish over the Jollof rice... the fish was well cooked and easily peeled off the bones. The tomato sauce was delicious! I added a side of Nigerian honey beans which were so yummy and flavorful. Eager to try more dishes here!My one piece of constructive feedback would be with check with customers about whether or not they want plastic utensils- I would have preferred to skip them.

OMG. An oasis in the desert of Kansas City. You would never expect to find this African pearl of great price in a small food court. I went the first time and had a great meal with the Chicken bowl. I went a second time and tried their turkey wing and joking rice and plantains and was blown away! The hiking rice was filled with meaty surprises and the plain rains were "da bomb." I don't know if they have any turkeys in West Africa but these folks sure know how to cook them. The sauce they use (tomato based) on the wings is delicious so you get the joloff taste all through the meal. The plantains were good but could have been sliced thinner for my taste. I used the curbside pickup option and it needs a little work for a hassle free exchange, but her young partners were pleasant and charming during the delivery. I wish I had washed it down with a ginger drink, if the had one. I will find out shortly when I order next week. It will take me three days to finish this one meal. BTW, it looked liked the word about them is getting out. I saw a lot of delivery orders headed their way.

The food was really good and authentic.Great customer service. I called first because I was confused about the locker concept and the lady who answered the phone was so sweet and kind.The ambiance I am unsure of. It's a locker concept but the area was clean and easy to obtain my food.

I ordered the vegetarian egusi with pounded yam swallow. Not only was the egusi disappointing, it didn't give the authentic flavors that you get from egusi made in the same way as I was taught. I was highly skeptical of ordering African food here and I was right. Don't know why but the plantains also weren't good. I would have to say save your time as it was reasonably priced compared to what I pay for it in Chicago. That's where you can get egusi from at any spot and it's going to be worth the money. I'm going to stick to what I know and/or making it myself

i've ordered from Afroeats three times so far and they haven't missed once! my favorites are the efo riro, pounded yam, jollof, and plantains. (also it's really convenient to pick up the food - they text me a link, i click a button, and a locker opens, in and out in 60 seconds.)
