Affordable Elegance Catering

We were beyond happy with Affordable Elegance. They were amazing!! They went out of their way to make sure the day was perfect. The reception venue would not allow us to drop off cheese/fruit trays the morning of our wedding because they did not have anywhere to store them until that evening. Affordable Elegance brought the trays down for us and it was ready to go when cocktail hour started. They were so easy and friendly to work with. They service at the reception was professional and everything went smoothly. They served over 350 people at our wedding and everyone had plenty of food! I recommend AE to anyone getting married in the Kansas City area!

One year ago today we were married and all of our guest are still talking about our caterers. Not only was our dinner menu perfectly executed, our cake was perfect. Brenda was a joy to work with from our tasting as well as the wedding itself. Her and her staff were wonderful not a face without a smile on it the entire time. Brenda herself was hands on the entire day even serving all our guest their drinks all throughout the evening. To top it all off she didn't want us to have to eat a cake that was frozen for a year on our anniversary that she offered to make us a replica of our top tier and even on short notice we are picking that up today on our actual anniversary to make the day once again special for us. Hats off to Brenda and her team we will be passing your name on to anyone that asks us who would we use because hands down we could have never imagined getting this kind of food and service at a very affordable price.

We hired affordable catering to do our wedding and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The first issue we ran into was the contract said under 100-1.00. To me that looks like if you have less than 100 people you would subtract a dollar per person, but they said it was a dash and added a dollar per person. We had also spoke at length and even confirmed 2 days before the wedding that we wanted servers however we got a buffet. We paid $500 to rent dishes but they were for their food only and we had to supply our own for the cake since we got that elsewhere. When I called to complain and asked about the service charge listed on the receipt I was told that was a 344.25 charge that they charge to everyone in addition to the 258.19 charge for the particular venue we used and an 8.9% charge for taxes. Their contract was intentionally misleading with hidden costs and ended up being a blemish on what should have been a perfect day.
