First I emailed them because I wanted more information about their services and in their email reply they just told me to call... didn't answer any of my questions. When I called they took my information and said they would get back to me.... they didn't.

I wish I could leave zero stars!!DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. They are rude, inconsiderate, will short you on food, call your guests fat, and refuse to help you. I live across the country and made an appointment 2 months in advance to have my menu choosing meeting with them when I was home at Christmas time. I was 45 minutes before my appointment and on my way to it when I got a call that said "We didn't think you were coming, so no one is here to cook your food. If you still want to come today, call us and we can make someone come in." OF COURSE I am still coming, I made the appointment 2 months prior. I called and they were rude, they acted like I was a huge inconvenience and made me bump my appointment back from 10am to 1pm. This caused me to have to call my cake lady and ask her if there was any way I could move her appointment that day because I was to meet with her at 1. She was extremely flexible and had no problems with this. We arrived, and were treated like we were wasting their time and they rushed us through our entire tasting. It was terrible. The second they found out we had booked through an all-inclusive venue they worked with and wouldn't be adding additional food, they were done with us. Then our wedding came around in July, and we had paid for 100 people and told there would be 115 servings. After around 45 of our 60 guests ate, they ran out of meat and vegetables, leaving bread and salad. One of our guests had to go across the street to the gas station to get pizzas so people could eat. After we returned from our honeymoon, we tried for a week to get ahold of them. We called 4 times and were told we would be called back and I left a voicemail. No one called us back. Finally on my 5th phone call, I spoke with Jamie, who was extremely rude. She refused to admit any fault and claimed to be "doing research" for the last week and that was why we were not being called back despite multiple calls. She pushed the blame for the length of time onto our venue coordinators and for the shortage of food on our guests. She essentially called them fat and claimed they must have been eating huge piles of food to run out. I have never worked with a company where I was more disrespected or disappointed. I urge you to look elsewhere. The food is good, but there won't be enough and you will be blamed for the problem.

After meeting with affordable catering and trying the food setting date getting prices and deciding on using them she had everything but the contract signed HUGE MISTAKE. My sister called and called and called to follow up and emailed. I asked her since I live in OPKS would she like for me to drive by to see what's going on? She wanted wait until next Monday see if they call back. NO return phone call and wedding is in April. She asked me to go ahead and drive up there and see if they were still in business or what the heck was going on. The door was open and their a lady stood right by the phone. I quickly explained my sisters situation about trying to get hold of her. She says "oh yes I have her information right here in front of me, I was waiting on a phone call back from this big corporation event that same weekend" to do a bigger event???" and says unfortunately I can't handle them both" she then explained how she did not like to do business with Powell Gardens! WOW just wow! Lesson learned if you don't get a contract signed do not plan on affordable catering to do your event unless your a huge corporation of course. She was fine doing the wedding event date and all had us come try her food, what a waste of time for us! How terrible and just not right I hated to break the news to my sister =-( I was sad for her.
