Adrian's Cafe

This place is a hidden gem. This restaurant is family owned and awesome people. The food is sandwiches, soup, salads, pasta, chips and great desserts. The sandwiches are made to your liking with the bread if your choice. Soups are always a hit and for most you can't pass up their desserts.

I first had Adrian's Cafe when they catered the KC Air Show in 2022. When they returned last year, I was delighted! We finally made it out to the restaurant today. It was absolutely wonderful! The bread was so fresh and super soft. The soup was delicious as well, which I had not tried before. The employees were very friendly. We will definitely make it out here again! 5/5 stars!

I cannot remember the last time I had Adrian's but I'm thinking it was shortly after they opened!??! Anyway, met a friend here for lunch and I'm a fan. The feel is oddly cafeteria vibe but the food is so good. Had a half a club sandwich with a salad, the salad was just ok so next time I'd probably skip it. The sandwich though was elite and the bread was heaven. The carrot cake was also delicious. I've heard the chicken salad is good so I'll be back to try that.

Adrian's is a wonderful place for lunch to go or to eat there. All their breads, cookies, soups and sandwiches are homemade and delicious! I highly recommend you patronize this business with extremely hard working and honest owner and employees!

The outer corporate bank building threw me off but I saw the location name on the outer corner and walked in through the lobby. The smoked turkey sandwich I had was amazing. Bread perfect. Great serving of turkey. They make it right in front of you. This was my first time getting a sandwich in Kansas that reminded me of the deli sandwich goodness I used to get in NYC and Jersey. I will be back again and again. The GM was funny. He was behind the counter next to the sandwich guy and I wasn't sure what I wanted in my sandwich after the meat and the cheese. He offers me a slice of bacon and then pretends to take it away like he wasn't sure that was what I wanted I wasn't thinking of bacon while ordering my sandwich but I put it in after the sample. Everyone was really nice too. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow?

Delicious chicken noodle soup! You can taste the freshness of the food, especially the bread. The carrot cake was also quite tasty. Only reason I'm taking a star off is because of the baked potato soup. It was not good at all--very thick and tasted like a canned soup. Other than that though, everything else was delicious and I will be back!

Still like this place and the owner. Located in the bank corner makes it a challenge to find, but worth the search. Great sandwich and even better soup. The fact they still bake the bread and cut it right in front of you makes this place awesome. The desserts are special too. If you want fancy then keep looking. If you want a good soup n sandwich joint, you found it. Check out the chicken salad, just like your mom made. Real chicken, real mayo, and really good! A few of the reviews tend to nit pick the owner. Just a good old boy trying to make a living keeping you fed with great food. He we will bend over backwards to make your dining experience a good one.

Do NOT support this restaurant. Owner left dog in hot car for an extended period of time. When we got there to eat we noticed a dog in this truck. One window was barely cracked and the truck was sitting in the sun. We thought maybe somebody was just running in to pick up an order, so we gave it a bit. When we left the restaurant from eating, the truck was still sitting there so we called the police. It was another 10 minutes at least until animal control showed up and it was about at that same time that the owner of the restaurant walked out to this truck. That dog has been sitting in there panting for at least 35 minutes that we know of, but since he was in there working, we can guess it was longer. It's 75° today, so not an overly hot day. Had the truck been parked in the shade with both windows properly cracked, it may have been fine. Sitting in the sun, with only one window slightly cracked, the internal temperature would have been well over 100° today.

This is the best sandwich in Kansas City. Truly a hidden gem, a classic sandwich with no frills. Bread is as soft as a pillow and bacon is thick and delicious. Friendly staff and owner always makes you feel welcome. I typically opt for the classic turkey, but you can't go wrong here. Do not miss this place!

Customer Service is hit and a LOT more miss these days. And good food doesn't make up for bad experiences.During COVID, the Core First bank building was a ghost town. Adrian's Cafe was hanging on by a thread to keep their doors open (Owner's words). They were bending over backwards with customer service. We always placed to-go orders. THEY even told us, "Just call in your order; and we'll have it all ready when you get here."Now that COVID is over and the building is back to being fully staffed, Adrian's is doing really well again. So well, they won't take our call-in orders to-go anymore. "It'd be easier if you just came and stood in line. Otherwise it will be at least an hour before we could make your to-go order."Way to show your support to those who supported you when you needed it, Adrian's. We won't be calling you anymore. Goodbye.
