Abelardo's Mexican Fresh

A quick little mexican joint! I love these little places. Only the person at the front register spoke any english and you could see the guy in the back flipping things around in the kitchen! You know it is gonna be good as soon as you see that! This is gonna be your standard Taco, Burrito, and Nacho fare. Don't expect the fancy restaurant this place still has the form molded seating and tables that you have come to expect from Waffle House the world over. DON'T take a date here!

This place is my new favorite Mexican food spot. I didn't attach the picture because it doesn't do the meal justice.I have been looking for a loaded nacho situation for a very long time and nowhere seemed to have anything that would satisfy my pallet until I stumbled upon Aberlardo. I am seeing them pop up everywhere in the city and I am glad I tried it out. I got their nachos and they come with your choice of protein, and it has sour cream, guacamole, cheese, salsa, house made chips and it was just packed with flavor. I will be back. I would just warn that a large size is meant to share, I got a large and I had a lot left over. Enjoy!

Ordered from here tonight on DoorDash, we ordered 2 bean rice & cheese burritos and an order of chips and queso. Nothing too crazy, stayed simple because coming from Southern California, I don't have a lot of faith in Mexican food outside of CA. The burritos were great, totally a fan. 5/5 stars for the burritos. Hot sauce was perfect and they put the requested number in the bag (if you order door dash regularly, you can understand the excitement of the condiments actually being in the bag). Chips & Queso (which somehow has a high recommendation rate on DD) 0/5 stars. The chips were insanely greasy, to the point where they leaked out all over the bag, to make this worse there was no salt on them. The queso was like water. You couldn't pay me enough money to order those again. Overall, great place for a burrito!

Had a door dash delivery, ordered to breakfast burritos and they gave no sauce-salsa with it. When I called the lady told me she didn't know what sauce or salsa is. She then was very rude and placed me on hold and never answered the phone after that. Steak is grissly and not good.. Stick to Panchos for now on.

We run to this restaurant after Brian mentioned it was his go-to Mexican place. It was quiet as most orders are for pick-up or to-go. There were only a couple more tables occupied but the place is buzzing with people who are placing or picking up orders. Service was quick. I had the Birria Platter which was packed with yummy stewed beef, chopped onions, rice, refried beans and chopped cilantro. Chris had the Spicy Beef Fajita Platter. Brian and Gary both had the Green Chile Burrito and Pork Tamales. Everything was excellent! Truly an authentic

! We placed a carry out order for lunch and arrived early for pick up. Our food was made fresh and quickly. They packed our order up very nicely with lots of extra salsa and utensils. Our food was still hot when we arrived to the location where we were going to eat it. I will say this is authentic Mexican food. The combo fajita is large enough for two people to easily share. And the Carne Asada meal is also large enough for two people to share. The portions here are very generous. My kids enjoy the churros and also the Mexican sodas in the glass bottles.They offer drive-through, carryout, and dining options.

I have never had an issue with this place, I generally get the Carne asada quesadilla, and it is generally good. This time, i got the same thing and some chips and queso as well as some fish tacos. Turns out they either changed the recipe on them or something they were not the big hit they normally are. Something about the taste of dill? Service was nice and fast, so there were no issues there.It's a standard taco joint in terms of ambiance and style, so it's pretty typical.Final note, chips were greasy as heck, but that doesn't bother me at all.It's worth it if you want some tacos or something taco adjacent.

Excellent food every time! The tortillas taste fresh, beans are really good, the ground beef is sometimes good, depends on the day. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

In four years you raised prices from $7 a burrito to now $13. And still want to charge extra for a 1/2 oz salsa cup. Not worth it

Originally from SoCal that is home to me. I'm visiting KC and looking for authentic Mexican food and I happened to find this little gem. What a wonderful little place. The carne asada burrito was very flavorful and delicious with avocado and pico. Service was excellent and all that was missing was just the Spanish music being played by the cooks. I definitely recommend this place to anyone from out of town looking for a little piece of home. You'll love the food and you'll love their prices even more.
