This is our go to asian market. The only one we've found that has some stuff from home (Hawaii). Get Hawaiian Sun jams & drinks, Golden Coin manapuas, Aloha shoyu, Koda Farms mochiko flour, Redondos podagee sausages, NOH brand stuffs, and choke more. They keep running outta Redondos within a week, so go get em! Found out today (02/08/2025) that get Taro Brand Poi in the freezer section on the other side of the produce. Yes, we did pay $12.50 per bag... got 2 for me & 1 for my SIL. A hui hou!

If you are looking for a place to save money on groceries, especially for vegetables, this is the place you seek. The vegetables look real, healthy, fresh, and at a very reasonable price. Great place to find rare finds for spices. They have an international section by the veggies to check out. I bought foreign teas and spices in this area. (Great store for vegans and vegetarians)!!!Great place to buy in bulk for red peppers and spices in the middle aisles. Stock up on dried garlic, dried peppers, etc. There are so many gems here. Read the labels. If you question an ingredient in the frozen section or other sections, look the ingredient up before purchasing. This is only for the conscientious eaters. Some people don't care what they eat, so all good for them. The labeling of foods is great, especially for those that reads them. I highly recommend this store.

I was in the area and decided to stop here to shop. This location has everything you need for Asian cooking. It is one of the largest Asian grocery store in town. They also serve made to order food at the counter, Boba drinks and pastries to go. The only thing is you need to have cash to buy those. The store itself is clean and organized. Service is okay. Staffs are not as friendly.

One rainy morning FPO and I decided to go holoholo-ing mid-west style. 888 International Marketplace is yet another recommendation from my favorite sister. This was a handy find. It's not strictly and Asian market because there's a lot more too it. More Asian/Pacific Islander and then some. We found several products from Hawaii. Also represented were the Philippines, Thailand, China, Korea, and Japan. There was live seafood including crawfish that I think hail from Louisiana primarily and Dungeness Crab from the Pacific Northwest. A lot of the fish was frozen and being in the middle of the country, that's easy enough to understand why. As we were wandering the aisles we both kept thinking, this is like home and it's not. So much familiar, so much different. A couple of examples: it might look a little bit like Don Quixote but there were about 1/10 the people in the store. A fraction. A mere pittance. No crowds. Lol, I also usually don't hear Mexican music playing in the background of the Chinatown fish markets or this fishmongers speaking Spanish to the clientele. Overall we were thrilled with this discovery. It's nice to know we can get at least some of the comforts of home when we're so far away.

The minute you walk in it reeks of fish. The isles are very unkempt with boxes both unopened and opened on the floor. Prices are only shown on about 75% of the items. We had to take several items to the cashier to ask how much they cost. It appears they used to be a restaurant area that is now quite small. Many items we looked at were way past their "expired on" our "Best By" date.

A very diverse grocery store full of secret gems. Cleanliness could use some improvement but service was fast. They gut, clean, and cut your fish and have plenty of live seafood!

This is my favorite Asian market in the Kansas City area. The food is so cheap and tastes amazing. The market is very authentic and would highly recommend checking it out

Large location with lots of offerings but it's messy, disheveled, and you will be stepping over random boxes of stuff they leave in the aisles. Prices are missing on a decent number of items, so your total can be a shock at the register.

I would give this place more stars but Pan Asia exists a stone's throw away, so I'll never visit this place again. It just seems disheveled in the worst kinds of ways, and I just feel like there's too much going on here to make sense. It feels like I'm in a market in the middle of Vietnam somewhere, just lots and lots and lots and lots of stuff. They have an impressive fresh fish offering, so again it feels just barely passing health codes. There's just a box of crabs sitting on the floor for instance. It took me 10 minutes to find a jar of garlic chili paste, and then it took almost 15 minutes to buy it in the one line they had open. The registers are covered in paperwork and boxes and materials and stocking goods. It's a wonder this place functions at all. I'm sure it has its purpose and people love this place for what it offers, which it does offer some very unique items relative to Kansas City shopping. But, a little too messy for me. Pan Asia does most of what these guys are doing and better. It's more organized, it's cleaner, it's just a better experience. But that could be because it's brand new, and I think this place has been here for many years. It definitely feels like you're walking around your uncle's house in this place. Oh well.

Very helpful staff and the range of products is mind-boggling. Plus they have the greatest little café that makes hot or cold milk, tea or Thai tea or tarot tea or honeydew latte and they have the most amazing pork steamed buns.
